So am I!!I think I am going to SCREAM if the judge lets her out on $250 and a bracelet! That's just horse hockey!!
Thinking there is no one or place for MM to go and his atty thinks he's safer incarcerated.
I don't see the cases as that similiar, but a big difference is that the Anthony case managed to get a lot more media coverage pre-trial than the Bond/McCarthy case likely will. Caylee was missing for longer than Bella was unidentified, and in Florida, you had the Sunshine Laws, which provided a regular stream of information. There was something new happening in that case on a regula basis for a very, very long time after Caylee was first reported missing. In Bella's case, we went long periods of time w/ nothing new in the media. Wasn't the Anthony case on Nancy Grace every day for like six months? Anyone could have predicted that HLN was going to cover that trial gavel-to-gavel back in '08/'09, but I don't see how anyone can confidently say that here.
Is bio-dad the lifelong friend??
(I wish that woman with the glasses on her head with shift it!)
OT, but Judge is a hottie!
interesting that the prosecution did not claim that RB saw MM hit Bella in the stomach, that was a claim in the media over the weekend and I think the State would have put it on the record if she had claimed that to them, maybe she said that to JA but not to the police
im not sure im buying the story anyway (about striking her in the stomach repeatedly) i think it is much more likely that she was smothered
Perhaps in serious cases experienced lawyers are in a roster in Massachusetts and his name came up. The lawyer gets paid by the courts.. not what he would usually get but he does get paid. What would you suggest? Do you think when MM was in the hospital he should have seen a second rate MD? MM is innocent until proven guilty. If you were charged with murder and had no money you would want effective counsel. i dont understand vilifying lawyers, i just dont. Some state bar associations require lawyers to do a certain amount of "public defender" work.. for lack of a better word. MM may really be crazier than a bed bug...he might really need an insanity defense, for example..I have no idea. But to think that even an alleged murderer doesnt deserve competent counsel is like saying he shouldnt get quality medical care either. Lawyers love the law..they think it is their duty to protect and defend..they are often unpopular warriors.. but get in trouble and they are your best friend. If lawyers only took cases from nice guys they would soon have no clients. Sorry, it is part of the job.. just like caring for MM in the hospital would be part of my job. JMO
