Markoff keeps on getting creepier. I saw that on The Today Show this morning. I wonder how many other men he trolled on Craigslist sending nude pictures of himself.

I bet the fiancee's parents made her call off the wedding. She appears to be clueless.

what e-mails with a Boston man????

The guy on the Today Show this AM said that they e-mailed for some time, even exchanged pictures, but never met in person...I'm assuming it's him. Although, I guess there could be more than one.

The link to the Today Show is in a previous post...

I went to the "Phil Markoff Is Innocent Until Proven Guilty" site to see what they would be saying. If anyone else is interested here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=162619985050&ref=search

There are some discussion threads, it seems like most are "shut down" with rationalizations or finger pointing at the press and those that spoke with them.

It was mentioned that they did a 48 Hours on Markoff, wish I would've seen that.

It was also reported that Dr. Phil had been contacting people related to the case:

Markoff's friend, who started the site, stated on 48 hours that he questioned the evidence. He used the duct tape and zip ties as an example, saying everyone has duct tape in their house. Well um, ok, but what about the gun, the underwear, the fingerprints, a live witness.....sheesh.

ITA.
Here we go AGAIN with friends/family/whoever minimizing the GLARING evidence that someone is guilty.
Someone should ask this "friend" what PM meant when he told family that there would be more to come. Doesn't sound like the ramblings of an innocent man to me!!! :cow:

If they only knew how often that is said and how often they are wrong. It always cracks me up when I hear, they didn't do this because I know them. Or they didn't do this because they are my friend. As if they possess some power that if someone knows them it's a guarantee that they aren't a criminal. We'd all like to think that none of us would have a henious criminal in our lives. But the fact is that the "Ted Bundy's" of the world live amongst us and are family members, friends and co-workers of someone! It's not like these creeps live in a cave away from society and wear a sign that says "I'm a serial Killer".

Whew. It sounds like the GF has finally faced reality and called off the wedding. The McAllister family contacted Will Forte of the B Street Band late Friday evening and basically said the wedding was off.

I read the article and it is interesting to note than an unnamed friend said the public is lynching him when in reality he has few character flaws.... Unreal.

Guess the evidence is being ignored by those who support him.

If this had been someone I knew in no way would I defend, I might let him know I care for him but in no way would I support or defend.

If you google "sexaddict53885" you'll find some stuff...

OhMyGosh! :eek:When am I going to learn, at times, to just take someone's *word for it*?:banghead:

 I'm going to go clean out my 'history' so someone doesn't come across the *stuff* I just looked at! :slap:

:blushing:

I'm kind of wondering if he was robbed by someone he met online. He advertises he's into bondage and restraint, did he get the idea because of a similar experience? I seriously doubt he would go to the police if he were robbed by a Tranny...

All of these people who thinks that Markoff is so innocent, how do they explain the victims panties in his apartment and that the police have found his fingerprints in all three hotel rooms?

Seriously, this happened to me once when following a case here on WS. After following a case here, low and behold but a member of the family of someone I'd known for years, (distant relative, btw), was arrested and accused for a *capital* crime. It totally changed how I looked at the evidence, up to that time and I seriously looked at everything differently. I just stopped, took a deep breath and went over everything again and waited until further details became available. I also stopped following the case here and didn't discuss it, because I just DID NOT KNOW.

As further evidence became available, PLUS what I found out from the family, I learned, before he was even tried, that the guy DID do it,.........at least my conclusion was from what I learned in a round-about way......(second or third or even fourth hand info).....fwiw, he was found guilty and IIRC, he's now a neighbor of Scott Peterson. ;)

Although I didn't personally know the person accused, so it was a little different, I would imagine being a friend or family member has to be the worst....that the person you THOUGHT you knew may not have been WHAT you'd always believed. That the friend or relative you liked, loved, or whatever, was actually a monster in disguise.

Of course in our country one is 'innocent until proven guilty, but then again, that's in a court of law and not in the public at large. It should be reported by the media as 'alleged' evidence, 'alleged' perp, etc., but as far as many people discussing the case, most will feel the guy is guilty and refer to him accordingly.

I'm fairly confident that as the 'evidence' is revealed, the supporters of this guy will one by one, drop off and become silent. He will even manage to keep on his side, a handful of supporters. Even IF he's convicted, there will still be those who 'don't believe the evidence.' That's their perogative.

PS.......yeah, I'd like to know how they explain the 'underwear' evidence as well. I saw where one said he just picked it up. "Yeah, that COULD be possible with 'one victim,' but what about TWO?????" Nah,...........his supporters will start dropping away from him as each piece of damaging evidence becomes available...............Wonder how they explain the gay man on tv that was acquainted with him?:waitasec:...............fran

No kidding. I'm shocked by this new stuff but I don't know why. I guess we could expect anything from this creep.

I've been following, for quite a few years, a number of 'missing and deceased' young male college students. I happened to mention to a WS friend, yesterday on the phone, BEFORE this new info came out, the POSSIBILITY that he could be connected to some of these cases. But I quickly dismissed it as too far-fetched.:waitasec:

PERHAPS I should revisit that idea and look into it further. Unfortunately, I've got pressing RL matters to see to today it'll take me a while to gather the needed info. I have come across a list of 14 young men in the state of NY, from '02 through 5/08......(haven't kept track of this years unexplained incidents),......I know there's more if you include other New England States.

See..........just because this guy was caught answering these ads and the victims were women, doesn't mean he wasn't possibly been doing this type of thing for years. He just may have been CAUGHT because of his new MO. Maybe he had victims where he used different methodology to target them, ie trolling areas where college students hang out. He does have a 'superior' type attitude. It's not really inconceivable he may have targeted males, or females, in his age range that he may have been jealous of or felt superior to, etc.....

I'll check it out when I get a chance. Until then, can't wait to see what the ADDITIONAL evidence may be alluded to by LE.

*CREEPY* case!

According to this, Philip Markoff has been declared indigent.

"Philip Markoff, a 23-year-old suspended Boston University medical school student, owes $130,000 in student loans and does not get money from his parents, leaving him to lean on a taxpayer-funded attorney for his defense, according to a court document in Boston Municipal Court that labels him indigent."

Seriously, this happened to me once when following a case here on WS.

Thanks for sharing your insight. I have to constantly remind myself that a certain amount of reasonable denial is expected in the beginning. But boy, in some cases the evidence is is so damning and solid from the get go that I just want to shake some sense into these people. IMO, the finance's statement that he was "set up" shows she knows the evidence shows his guilt but she is so desperate to believe in his innocence.
