I read the article and it is interesting to note than an unnamed friend said the public is lynching him when in reality he has few character flaws.... Unreal.
Guess the evidence is being ignored by those who support him.
If this had been someone I knew in no way would I defend, I might let him know I care for him but in no way would I support or defend.
Seriously, this happened to me once when following a case here on WS. After following a case here, low and behold but a member of the family of someone I'd known for years, (distant relative, btw), was arrested and accused for a *capital* crime. It totally changed how I looked at the evidence, up to that time and I seriously looked at everything differently. I just stopped, took a deep breath and went over everything again and waited until further details became available. I also stopped following the case here and didn't discuss it, because I just DID NOT KNOW.
As further evidence became available, PLUS what I found out from the family, I learned, before he was even tried, that the guy DID do it,.........at least my conclusion was from what I learned in a round-about way......(second or third or even fourth hand info).....fwiw, he was found guilty and IIRC, he's now a neighbor of Scott Peterson.
Although I didn't personally know the person accused, so it was a little different, I would imagine being a friend or family member has to be the worst....that the person you THOUGHT you knew may not have been WHAT you'd always believed. That the friend or relative you liked, loved, or whatever, was actually a monster in disguise.
Of course in our country one is 'innocent until
proven guilty, but then again, that's in a court of law and not in the public at large. It should be reported by the media as 'alleged' evidence, 'alleged' perp, etc., but as far as many people discussing the case, most will feel the guy is guilty and refer to him accordingly.
I'm fairly confident that as the 'evidence' is revealed, the supporters of this guy will one by one, drop off and become silent. He will even manage to keep on his side, a handful of supporters. Even IF he's convicted, there will still be those who 'don't believe the evidence.' That's their perogative.
JMHO

PS.......yeah, I'd like to know how they explain the 'underwear' evidence as well. I saw where one said he just picked it up. "Yeah, that COULD be possible with 'one victim,' but what about TWO?????" Nah,...........his supporters will start dropping away from him as each piece of damaging evidence becomes available...............Wonder how they explain the gay man on tv that was acquainted with him?:waitasec:...............fran
