Trial live streamed:

I'm only a minute or two behind but <modsnip - name changes aren't allowed> is really slapping down Yannetti unfairly. He can't put points on the record??

And now it's muted!!! Anyone have sound??!

My edit: I meant judge Bev. The name change is a quote from this article:

Good morning - we are in early for a hearing on the defense experts in the #karenread trial. The commonwealth asserts Dr. Marie Russell's (ER DOC) testimony should be excluded because of late notice/discovery.

Defense attorney David Yannetti seems angry as he responds he "wants to be heard." Yannetti says the state's claims are outrageous. He says "they are lying." He says his integrity has been attacked and he needs to defends himself and his client.

Yannetti is referring to a hearing in February in which dog DNA was discussed. Yannetti then says this comes on the heels of the Commonwealth passing off an inverted Canton PD security video as a regular view,

Judge Cannone pulls in the reins on Yannetti, asks him to keep his comments on point. The jury is not here for this back and forth.

Yannetti says Dr Russell is a pathologist who has ER experience in dealing with dog bites/claw scratches. Judge Cannone wants to have a voir dire to investigate more fully. She is now concerned about her statement tot he jury they would have this case by the end of the month.

The defense experts will take about two hours (barring extensive objections) to do these "voir dire" Q and A sessions - perhaps Wednesday. Yannetti says defense will start making the calls to the experts to get them in. There are 3 total.

Yannetti says besides Dr Russell, whom they found, the other two experts were hired through the federal investigation of the Norfolk DA's handling of this case.

@KristinaRex

Good morning from Norfolk Superior. Court just held a motion hearing outside of the jury's presence on the Commonwealth's motion for reciprocal discovery and to exclude a defense expert witness in the #KarenReadTrial.

The court will spend roughly 1/2 a day this week (tbd) to hold voir dires of 3 defense expert witnesses - 2 crash reconstruction and 1 doctor to testify about alleged dog bites.

Voir dires are interviews with the attorneys and judge outside of jury's presence ahead of testimony to determine scope of testimony.

Judge Cannone referenced timeline of case - and how she just told the jury last week they'd have the case by end of month, and this is now possibly delaying that. She is openly frustrated by the delay and had multiple tense interactions with defense attorney David Yannetti.

The jury is here and it's time for more testimony from Sgt. Yuriy Bukhenik. FYI -- Judge Cannone told the jury there will be a 1/2 day on June 21st instead of the previously scheduled day off.

The inverted Canton PD sally port video -- which we left off with on Thursday -- is back up on the screen again. Sgt. Bukhenik is back on the stand for cross examination by Alan Jackson.

The jury enters and we have more testimony from DET SGT YURIY BUKHENIKMASS STATE POLICEIt's day 22 of testimony in the #karenread trial. This is Trooper Bukhenik's third day on the stand.

Alan Jackson is continuing his cross examination of the homicide detective who works for the Norfolk County DA. Jackson is questioning him about the view of Karen Read's car in the Sally Port. "You did not mention this is an inverted video did you?" Not on Wednesday, no.

This really doesn't bode well for the entire day today. The CW accused the defense of lying and the defense is not allowed to rebut with PROOF?

I am already frustrated. It's really scary anyone could be in this situation.

Also...
Is Bukhenik dying his hair using shoe polish?

just got it on law and crime. He's more purple than a corpse after being pulled from a fire, isn't he? The back of his neck is telling a story.. and he's still burning.. Merciless.
Trooper Yuri B? Maybe he got some sun this weekend?
