MA - Remains of 3 infants found, Erika Murray charged, Blackstone, Sept 2014

I wonder if the back of the closet in the pink room is where the dark blue wall is located? Almost as if that might'be been the original color of the room before it became pink and they didn't paint inside the closet? This must've been one of the closets where the infants were found?

As for the main floor, my "puzzle pieces" are speculating that the back right corner was part of the LR seen in this photo (note window from back of house):

And this photo is the other corner of the LR/front of the house with possible couch:

Still obsessing about the layout of these rooms. After studying the slant of the roof, plus the placement of windows in images of the pink BR and the room filled with garbage/feces covered mattresses, it appears that these BRs were on one end of the 2nd floor (each BR has one window) sharing a common wall. The "clean" BR (grayish walls) was on the other end of the 2nd floor and has 2 windows. I wonder if the kids' bedrooms were closer to the driveway (air conditioner would've been in pink BR) and the master BR was closest to the neighboring apartment house?

I wondered about that space as well - we have not seen any other dark blue walls in any other photos IIRC.

So we have established there were 3 bedrooms upstairs, but I am not sure if there was another room on the main floor - back right corner as you face the house. Unless the blue room was a closet - hard to tell since it is only illuminated with a flashlight.

The closet in the pink room looks inaccessible with what appears to be a twin bed blocking the way. That same picture you posted of the dresses in the closet also shows what appears to be a sofa or possibly an arm chair with a pillow in the armrest - far right of the pic. Could this be where one of the older children slept?

It is a 3 bedroom house. So that would indicate that all 3 bedrooms were indeed on the 2nd floor and none on the main floor. Main floor would have consisted of living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and possibly a closet.

I am thinking the blue room maybe a closet in an alcove - either in EM's bedroom (the larger cleaner one) - you can see an entrance into the eave space in pics #18 and #21 on this link.

I'm thinking that the pink room was originally meant for the 13 y/o (left rear upper room facing the home) the 2nd room meant for 10 y/o boy who may have had a really cool painted closet under the eaves (left front upper room). EM's room had opening to the eave in the right rear upper corner (seen in these pics).

ETA: (pink room appears to be in the back according to video @ 1:10)

I definitely agree that the pink room was on the left facing the home and EM's room was on the right. So, that means the pink room had an air conditioner but I don't recall seeing one in both of those windows. Can you imagine the stench downstairs in the kitchen from the rooms up above? :(

EDIT: Someone previously posted that the stairs to the 2nd floor were most likely directly across from the front door. So, based upon this and the photo taken upstairs looking across the house, the pink bedroom might actually be to the right if facing the house, the infants were in in the rear on the right, and the 'clean' BR was on the left when facing the house. This makes more sense that both the pink BR and EM's(?) BR had the alcove closets on the eaves side of the house. This also would mean the air conditioner was in the larger BR and over the kitchen. The 2 smaller BRs then would've been closer to the apartment building.

Yes, that has to be the layout. The stairs can be seen during demolition.

These pictures y'all have been linking to are worse than my worst imaginings. I simply cannot fathom human beings living in such disgusting, gross surroundings. The thought of setting foot into the place, even with boots on, almost makes me throw up.

I do not wish to upset anyone, please forgive me.

here is a really rough outline of what I am seeing in this stain (the legs aren't quite right).

OH MY GOOD LORD!..........................so so sad!!! one of the babies??? (that passed?)

Are the older 2 children still living with RR and HIS parents???
I sincerely hope they have better living conditions than RR provided.

It is purely my assumption based upon looking @ decomp stains in the Caylee thread, I outlined what I was seeing - it could be just an optical illusion.

It has been reported the older 2 kids are living with one of the paternal grandparents, attending school regularly, and were able to enjoy a swim pool in the yard where they are living. The younger 2 are still in State custoday (foster care) and are receiving intensive therapy, EM's Atty has stated the 3 y/o has made the most significant gains in therapy.

Don't ever watch any of the hoarding shows.

I found this floor plan online...While it isn't the exact floor plan for 23 St. Paul (or what was), it seems like it could be a similar layout upstairs. I believe the "bath" on the 2nd floor diagram would basically be where the pink room would be indicated in the up thread pics, yes? I HAD to find a floor plan/diagram because I can't continually look at those pics, kwim? What do you guys think?

I hope the link posts correctly. The house is an 1850 three quarter original colonial cape cod style house if that helps anyone wanting to look for more accurate floor plans.

The only difference with the 23 St. Paul house is that all 3 BRs had windows, including the pink BR. This leads me to believe the diagram listed above is a similar layout only with the pink BR sharing a wall with the "other" BR on the right side of the 2nd floor.

Raymond Rivera:

“Ninety-nine percent of my awake time was in the basement,” Rivera said.

Asked why, Rivera said he was “not allowed” to go upstairs.

“I was told to go in the basement and be in the basement ... and stay in the basement,” he said.

Rivera trembled while he spoke, and tears ran down his face at times. He has not been charged in connection with what happened to the children at the home.

REPORTER: Did you ever see those kids?

RR: I never saw the infant at all. I knew she was uh babysitting the older one and I saw her once but that was it.

REPORTER: And what was your interaction with her?

RR: unintelligible (ETA since discerned "very little" was his answer)

REPORTER: Where did the 3 year old spend most of her time?

RR: Supposedly she was in K's cleaner room (unsure about underlined portion, hard to transcribe) because she had K clean her room so that the baby could stay there.

REPORTER: And when you found out about - um - the um . . . (question is never finished)

RR: I, Honestly, I can't do (walks away from reporters) (ETA since discerned "I can't do this anymore, I'm crumbling. I'm crumbling")

The interview takes place outside and reporters around RR appear to be wearing overcoats while RR wears a sweater. He shivers so violently throughout the interview it and speaks so softly is difficult to make out what he says. I think the shivering is one part the cold and one part nerves.

ETA K referenced above is EM and RR's 13 year old daughter. He stated her name. I did not include it in the transcription to afford her some privacy.

ETAA the second video which has a volume level that is easier to understand. http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...infants-were-found-says-wasn-allowed-upstairs

I keep forgetting that we only heard about this story after RR had been busted for the pot, after LE finally returned to the hell hole based on neighbor frantic call. Seems the sequence was like this:

Pot bust.
EM and kids still living there, RR - says he wasn't at that point - who knows
EM leaves kids, son goes to neighbor for help, neighbor calls 911. EM arrested and all living children removed from home. Home secured, public health called, etc.

The state Department of Children and Families removed four children ranging in age from 6 months to 13 years from Murray's home in August after her 10-year-old son went to a neighbor's house and asked for help in quieting a crying baby. http://www.wcvb.com/news/parents-in-blackstone-house-of-squalor-case-to-be-in-court/29113918

Murray and four children were removed from the home on Aug. 28 after police responded for a well-being check. Police were called to the home after hearing reports of crying children in the house http://www.masslive.com/news/worcester/index.ssf/2014/09/blackstone_mother_of_house_of.html

House condemned.

The Department of Children and Families took custody of Murray's remaining four children on Aug. 28, when police initially responded to the home. The house was condemned at that time, police said. http://www.masslive.com/news/worcester/index.ssf/2014/09/blackstone_mother_of_house_of.html

EM goes to stay with parents claiming she is there because of RR pot bust.

After her children were taken away to foster care, Murray apparently moved in over the past two weeks with her parents in Northbridge, making up a story about the man she was living with being busted by the police for a marijuana business run from the home, according to the relative who saw her during the nursery visit. Murray also allegedly told her parents that the state had to temporarily take her two children, and she did not say anything about the two other younger children, said her relative.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, police reentered the Blackstone home with a search warrant and discovered the remains of an infant. The remains of the other two infants were discovered Thursday. It is unclear just when they were born.

Cleanup begins and deceased infants are found.
House become big crime scene
Cleanup continues and house is torn down.

Maybe? I know some of that is off. but its the best I can do for the moment.

as to foreclosure. house was still in the name of the sister at the time it was knocked down. She may or may not have owned it outright or had a mortgage on it.
