I very much doubt that any man, even most Psychopaths can commit rape or paedophilia "to order", for financial gain, Tim. I'm sorry to blow your theory out of the water here, but I have never heard of this kind of psychopathology.

The motive for rape was sexual aggression, fantasy, coercion / control.

The videos of the rape and paedophilia were just a sideline for him to make money.

ie: his twisted deviant sexual pathology is present already - the realisation that money could be made from that came after.

I know the majority won’t agree but I still think there could be a chance they believe she could still be alive & hoping that if CB thinks he’s going down for murder instead of abduction that he might crack & give them info on others involved? I defo think CB is involved but feel too many acquaintances of his are coming out pointing the finger. A few examples : DF comments about hiding a small child in the Winnebago (Remember he had a small grandchild at that time in CBs company), MT saying he was convinced CB done it. CBs ex boss Restaurant owner TI saying “we all know what happened to MM”. I could go on & on lol. Why now? Why not back then? It’s my opinion that his acquaintances have only spoken out when the police came knocking.

The first point might work but I don’t think there were others/watchers/informers involved. It’s been 13 years and the more people involved with only a smaller involvement, the more likely it would have leaked to LE.

I would seem more likely that it was done by one person or a couple who all played a major role in what happened to MM.

Oddly, no other evidence/mentions of any other drug dealings/trafficking/use other than small quantities of weed/hash exists in this whole CB story, and most what there is is hearsay. I don't recall any mention of any hard drugs anywhere. CB's extensive rap sheet only has the 1 drug charge from Sylt I believe.

CB was definitely no drug lord, he sucked at it and got busted. He was trading weed for sex at the festivals and the profits from the Julia deals in Germany didn't amount to much split between 2 people.

I doubt CB ever made much money at all through selling 'drugs'. And as far as I can tell he didn't have any drug addictions.

CB was addicted to alcohol, to sex and to gambling.
He didn't "make much" money because he spent it at the casino.

The German LE have stated with almost certainty that they believe MM is dead. This is a strong statement.

This is because they either have some kind of evidence to support it - witness statement, photos/videos or something like clothing (no DNA). They could also be basing this belief on facts from other cases, he has abducted and killed several other children and they have absolute proof of this.

Of course it could be a combination of both but from the information released by German LE, I think it’s very likely he has killed people.

If this all goes to nowhere like you believe it will, the german LE will lose all respect globally. I don’t believe they are that silly to come out with bold statements and have nothing to back it up...

One thing for sure. CB is a sicko. That’s a fact. At some stage this case with CB is going to wrap up. Until then we can agree to disagree.

CB's name was on an entrance ticket to a casino in Portimao? The casino would have registered every visit by CB, I'm not sure if those records were ever checked. A single visit wouldn't prove a gambling addiction, whereas if he was a regular visitor it might.

I think there are potentially 4 reasons why we haven’t seen any evidence yet.

1. the German Le are the world on a hunch CB might have committed the crime.

2. There are potentially more victims and they are linking all the cases currently.

3. There are potentially more people involved. Releasing evidence gives these individuals time to cover their tracks. You can bet that the people of interest are being watched right now. Every move.

4. They know it is CB but need to make sure all the ducks are in a row before prosecuting.

It's quite likely there is an existing paedophile ring in Morocco and the sighting could have been another child that had been swiped.

If it was indeed CB who took the child it probably was a burglary turned into a child snatching for his own perverted reasons .... I dont recall if the parents had valuables or money in the apartment ..... if there was nothing to steal maybe he decided not to leave empty handed and took her.

Maybe Maddie was the easiest child to snatch to hand or the eye defect was not obvious to him at the time.

So yes, a frequent visitor spending his money at the casino. And having drinks.

I've worked at casinos, everyone receives a 'customer card' its a marketing ploy and also speeds up the check in process. What is needed to determine whether he had a gambling addiction is how many times CB used that card. This info would have been recorded, it is the law in the countries I worked and probably is in Portugal too

Were the families booked for a week? I thought it was 5 days, but I'm not sure why

Great post.

I think CB's criminal 'skillset' - at least as evidence and charges would indicate - lies predominantly in property crime (theft/burglary) and violent crime (sexual assault/rape).
