If you add this, then perhaps there's some personal reason against CB like a revenge served cold.

Yes I completely agree. I’m somewhat confused as it named Helge B as the bar witness(possibly in Spain) which we believed took place in Germany in May 2017. We have also been told Helge contacted operation grange in 2017 from prison in Greece. In another sky link I posted earlier today CB supposedly confessed to Helge at the Dragon festival in Spain in 2008....so much conflicting info from Sky & Martin Brunt imo.

We don't know where CB was in May 2017, but we know he was in Portugal in September 2016 (he fight Olivier in Foral) and he was in Algarve again in early June 2017 (he was arrested in SBM). Also, he might have been aware an Interpol warrant would be issued as he told Olivier not to call police or he would be arrested as he should know he was sentenced to jail in Germany (warrant was actually issued in August). So, I don't think it very likely he was in a German bar on May 3, 2017 commenting MM's case.

'Following the ten-year anniversary, the Met received information about a German man who was known to have been in and around Praia da Luz,' detective chief inspector Mark Cranwell said at the time.

Busching now says he was the person who provided the tip-off - having known Brueckner from when they both lived in Portugal.

Elsewhere:

Busching, 48, claims that Brueckner told him at a Spanish kite festival in 2008 that he was involved in Madeleine's abduction from Praia da Luz a year earlier.

Maybe this is more accurate information. In:

I think that we can safely assume that it suited Helge in 2017 to report CB to operation grange, if he was that disgusted when CB allegedly confessed back in 2008 he would have contacted LE back then. The rape videos he found when breaking into CB home in 2006 wasn’t enough for him to end his friendship with CB. Imo Helge has no integrity whatsoever but tbh I wouldn’t expect any from someone convicted of people trafficking. I do however think it’s highly possible they worked alongside each other with others in drug & people trafficking.

Imo if they didn’t return them to him they wouldn’t have been friends at festival in 2008 therefor confession to HB wouldn’t have happened) Imo Helge has no integrity whatsoever but tbh I wouldn’t expect any from someone convicted of people trafficking. As I understand it HB was arrested in Greece at the time. So this might be an exchange for something like a pardon. Met and Greek police are not stupid (neither HB I think), so this must have had a lawyer behind to grant the terms of exchange IMHO.

Yes Mendel, it seems the info HB had regarding CB and MM was his own grubby 'get out of jail free card' that he kept in his pocket for years just in case he should need it some day.
A nice little pardon or shortened sentence for himself instead of giving the MC's some kind of closure from years of hell and misery.

You know, I thought to myself "you are the company that you keep'. So perhaps LE are on the right track, just the wrong person! I even thought that perhaps HB feels wronged by CB for 1 reason or another, could even be bitter at getting 7yrs for human trafficking whilst others get off scot free! There is more to HB IMO X
 
I wonder what happened to create the bad blood between CB and HB ?? They must have been good mates at 1 time. Also, did HB not offer his info in exchange for leniency re himself?? I doubt very much that he contacted LE on a 'good deed' type of day! X

o_O The information is imprecise and the translation is confusing, but did HB contact SY from jail with the cell phone that belonged to a Bulgarian woman? Then he was released and met with detectives? Did I understand well?
At least it is clear that the contact with SY was in May 2017.
