UPDATE 10: MISSING MH370: Chinese relatives refuse to abandon hope

BEIJING: The families of Chinese passengers aboard a missing Malaysia Airlines flight insisted that their loved ones could still be alive Thursday, as Beijing said it was following developments closely.
Australian officials said that two objects possibly related to the search had been spotted by satellite in the remote southern Indian Ocean.
But Wen Wancheng refused to accept the announcement meant he had lost his son, who was a passenger on the flight.

So sad. I keep thinking of the picture youngest passenger, that little boy shown on AC360. So terribly sad.

Re any survivors, MLO I second what you said about the sharks....did not want to put that on here, but I thought Of how cold it would be and the sharks!! how awful...

For those outside Australia, at the moment there is a bit of debate on over here, because there have been quite a few shark attacks and now they want to cull them....a lot of the attacks are of the south western Australia coast....south of Perth...

Now that I am pretty certain that this is the plane, I am back to the why!

Would Hijackers crash into the sea without telling why they crashed into the sea, or making demands etc....doesn't seem likely to me.

Australia Ch 10 has a reporter on board the RAAF aircraft, so we should get a decent report when they land back in a few hours.

It sounds from reports that reporters from all media outlets were on board this particular plane, we don't hide information here Malaysia.

All right well I am off for now. Looks like it will be a while before they confirm anything. I am praying for all the families, and still praying for survivors.

The flight to Beijing was supposed to be 2,692 miles.

The flight DIRECTLY to Perth Australia would have been 2,586 miles.

The debris are another 1,500 miles past Perth, Australia.

Plus you add in the distance they flew before they turned... it's well past 4,000 miles.
If I'm not mistaken that would take it beyond the fuel that they had.
But it would have gotten then close enough to drift there. :twocents:

Someone on CNN just said that it's two hours flying time from Perth to the debris scene, so yeah, it had to have drifted with the currents all this time. If it is 370, that is.

Oh god, saying some of the families are talking of suicide...

Sky News just reported on this saying that the P8 is getting radar hits underneath the water:

Crew on @USNavy P-8 spotter tell @WrightUps "significant radar returns" coming from site where possible #MH370 objects spotted.

:loveyou: Thank you Australia

So surface temp is about 60deg F (15.5c) that's pretty cool for surface temp - much colder underneath.

I am puzzled.

Radar hits , Why didnt aussie radar hit it going in?

I mean it is in their airspace?

Willing to take concideration for any link contaning information explaining anything to me other then it drifted on the bottom of the ocean floor.

They just said on Sky News that it could have moved another 1,000 Kilometers by now...
So the satellite must be a few days old... :please:

I thought I would post this I just saw it on twitter it may not be accurate.

It looks like a wing, imo; of course, I tagged whales and waves for days on Tomnod

They diverted another ship on Monday... so they must have known about this for a while.

I am puzzled.

It's under the water... we have the equipment, (the P8) I don't know if they do?
Maybe Aussie radar DID hit it as it flew by... and that is why they are searching there.

Reporter at hotel said some parents whose only children were on flight were the ones distressed to the point of contemplating suicide if this is the plane...

My heart breaks for these families no one should have to endure this. I actually hope the passengers had a quick death, rather than surviving the crash only to drown in the lonely freezing sea. Morbid I know but I wouldn't want to think my loved ones survived the crash only to not be found in time.
