The more I read, the more convinced I am of the possibility of Christina being the murder. The comments about Maria not warding off the blow to her head. What's the possibility that she came home, caught them together and lost it?

Also consider this...Maria's Mom said she never had a boyfriend, so I suspect that she had also never had sex. How many of us women fall deeply for the first man we had sex with? It's an emotional issue for us, and I tend to believe it was the same for Maria.

I do think it is CL's child, and he was afraid of Christina. We all know the stories of what transpires when a woman is scorn!

My gut tells me that Christina was the dominate one in the relationship, and very controlling.

I watched the progam on Dateline the other night, and had an odd feeling about her mother also. Just can't put my finger on exactly what bothered me.

Being raised Catholic myself, I know how the old school Catholics think, and I feel the mother felt shame regarding the baby. So sad, because the baby was innocent and wasn't acknowledged by Maria's mother in the interview at all!

I feel Maria's mother was the reason Maria went to the authorities and filed rape charges. God love her, the hormones were changing and she probably felt very alone and confused. Especially because so many people on base were treating her so terribly, which I feel Christina instigated.

I am as anxious as all of you to find out the real truth, and my female intuition tells me what we have heard so far is way far from being factual!

Excellent post, Tsunami, and I am also thinking the same thing. In the end I think Maria believed the only person she could turn to was Cesar, and on the second trip to his house that night, she didn't find him home alone.

Actually, I would have been surprised if he was here by now...............it's only been a little over two months ago that he was taken in custody.

I read another story about a guy that absconded to Mexico from the USA and it took about 6 months to extradite him back.

Now what I would like to know though.......is he fighting extradition or waiving it.

He is probably awaiting a guarantee from the Marine Corps that he won't get court martialed as well as charged by the local LE. Although the LE will go to court and have said they will not seek the DP, the Marine Corps will probably end up with the case since it involved two soldiers. Plus he went AWOL and left the country. They could also get him for desertion which can also be a DP charge because we are currently at war. There are many, many things being discussed between the US and Mexico with this f@@@@ng murderer just sitting there thinking he will get by with this. Uh, uh not gonna happen.

From what Hudson has publicly said...the Marine Corps has to file all charges 60 days before extradition starts. They have not done so because if they had Mexico is very hard nosed about not wanting to return suspects that will go before any military tribunal so there will be no surprises here. All of this has to be above board. There are more suspects than Laurean at stake here when they absconded to Mexico. We must be open and honest if we want to continue to see they are sent back.

Rarely ever does the military intervene in a State capitol case. IMO they will not with this one either.

Just to note lol........A Marine is never a "soldier".......they are always called a Marine and never a soldier. The vast amount of them are very good, dedicated and honorable Marines who serve with pride. There will be bad apples from all walks of life in our society, unfortunately.

Hi ocean! I've read too where it's taken a few months to get someone back from Mexico if they're fighting extradition but I remember with Darren Mack's case he was back almost overnight from when he was arrested because he didn't fight. I too am thinking Cesar isn't wanting to come back here because of the Marine Corps.

Yes I know and he probably didn't want to spend much time in Mexican jail either! I agree with Marstan's post, Cesar's biggest fear is the Marine Corps court martial. He indicated that in his email to Sheriff Brown.

Those who do not respect innocent human life should be accorded the due reward of their foul deed, execution by the State in the country where the murder was committed. Why play "holier than thou" with a justice system (such as Mexico's) which is known for its many injustices? And Mexico kills countless Americans via its daily drug trade across borders. Mexican & U.S. authorities should resolve this heinous discrepancy with all due haste. Both sides must agree to return alleged killers for the serving of justice, ie, re America, a fair trial by a jury of peers, one appeal and if turned down, execution hesto presto. I love it, I love it whereby capital punishment is still in existence throughout both Mexico & America, but it's the mad-dog killers who are executing innocent people without much hesitation at all. I earnestly propose that we reverse the procedure with all due haste in the interests, quite correctly, of social progress.

I think the PP was talking about how the Mexican govt. will not allow extradition of their citizens unless no death penalty is applied, and how that is hypocritical.
