Yes, I was thinking the same thing until I realized that the chandelier was still there, in the trash I assume, the night Rebecca died.........puts a little different twist on things doesn't it? I'm thinking about all the linear abrasions and contusions on Rebecca's back and legs......that landing would be a logical place to stand if you wanted to "talk about" Max's accident. Good place to view all the points, then exit stage right to the door to the guest bedroom.

ETA: From SW 41290, receipt and inventory:
collected July 15, 2011, 11:10 pm
chandelier - found in trash area
pieces of chandelier
black t-shirt (cut)
wire nut
chandelier chain & electrical wire
scooter/razor
scraped paint sample
wilson soccer ball

Why decide to do this two days later at 11 o'clock at night?

BBM - Great question that gave me shivers! MOO

I have no idea why they did it so late in the evening, but July 15 makes sense. It was on July 14 that the hospital called police and the doctor told them about his "suffocation" theory. So I presume after that they got a search warrant and went in to remove the "evidence."

The bottom line is we have no way to know if that impression was made on the 11th or the 12/13th, and it could have been either since the chandelier was still there until the 15th. Since Max's AR states he was found at the bottom of the stairs by EMS and LE states the chandelier was found at his left shoulder, I have to assume that that mark was made at a later date.

Why didn't the person taking these pictures see THAT and wonder what the heck it was??

Is there a fairly accurate time for WHEN the doctor told Dina and Jonah his opinion was that Max was suffocated? Seems it came up earlier but I can't really find if it did now.

I thought it was speculation that the doctor told Dinah and Jonah. I don't think we know how they found out. I do have a few theories, but they are imo only.

Oh, thank you for clearing that up. Maybe I made an assumption based on earlier thoughts here about Max getting an MRI and that Dina and Jonah would have been informed as to why ...

"The morning of her death, an MRI was scheduled for Max ..."

Sorry, that was the quickest source I could find and I may have taken comments made here by another poster as fact, when they were not about the MRI scheduling.

Bolded by me. Did I miss something? The only paint I'm aware of on the door is the writing of the cryptic message ("she saved him..."). Was there other paint, and if so, what was it hiding?

That's the paint I'm talking about. Paint that covered the 'She saved him, Can he save her' message.

Click on the link to photo #2 and zoom in on the landing between the two sets of stairs. Focus on the carpet between the small rug and the lower set of stairs.

1. What is that impression in the carpet on the landing?

2. Why is that small rectangular rug on that landing? Is it covering something? [Strange and potentially dangerous place for a small rug – tripping hazard.]

MOO & TIA

Duh, I just realized something. If you look at this image:

and your above image of the landing between 1st and 2nd floor. You can see there's new carpet. How soon was that done? Boy, Jonah didn't waste anytime, did he?

I don't think there is new carpet. I just think the color looks different in the photos, that's it. It looks like an old carpet to me. I do see the markings on the carpet in one of the photos next to the little rug. They look very symmetrical to me-as if there was something standing there, like some sort of lamp or clothes hanger, or something of that nature, to leave these marks.

Ronald McDonald House is located within the multi-level parking lot of the hospital, it's part of the parking lot. So JS most likely parked his car there, and they would have video of that.

I don't know that anything has been painted. The differences in color could be due whether the photo was taking during day time in natural light or using artificial light. The carpet doesn't look new at all.

Even if we assume police did that, that would only prove his car stayed there.

I only remember in the PC that LE confirmed the parents whereabouts as being at Max's bedside. Or am I incorrect? They never said they asked for parking lot information or RMcDH video or sign in/out guest sheets.

It is said interviews of volunteer staff at RMcDH are being conducted, and have occurred. I will look forward to any information about this.

During the press-conference LE has repeatedly said that JS was at the children's hospital. Later while they were still talking to radar online (they don't anymore) they did say to radar online that the parents were either at the hospital or RMDH so LE clearly knows the difference between the hospital and RMDH. I don't believe LE ever explained how they verified this.

Thank you, that's what I thought. The fact that LE had to amend statements, tends to give me great pause in their ability to be fair and impartial in regards to Rebecca's death. Justice should be for all.

Today the sister said LE told them this was a suicide as soon as family arrived in San Diego. We know the phone was not turned on for a month. Some of the search warrants are dated Aug 24, which is more than a month. It sure looks like LE decided this was a suicide right from the start and were not in any hurry to investigate anything. Because the phone was not turned on for more than a month there was no hope of recovering the supposed voice mail, which LE is using as a whole basis for suicide. So even if this was a suicide LE's slow actions didn't help trying to figure out what had happened.
