Please...I am on TV lent, and don't want to scroll through all so-called "news" of NN. Is there anything new with RM?

No, it was not the bombshell Brian Entin made it out to be. Police spoke to the man whose hand is in the video of the suspect leaving the house in the LA assault case. I can't believe it took them this long to identify and speak to the guy who opened the door for the suspect when he left. Oh, and they learned nothing from the guy.

Thank you! Brevity is the sister of talent, as Chekhov once wrote.

Rachel Morin reward information doubled to $20K | Banfield

  • LE has identified and spoken to the man that the "arm" belongs to.
  • The reason detectives went to Chicago was to interview a person connected to the home invasion in LA.
  • They are not saying that the person who was interviewed is a suspect and they are not saying that the person is the man whose arm appears in the video.

Rachel Morin’s family seeks answers nearly 2 months after murder | Banfield

It’s been nearly two months since authorities say Rachel Morin was murdered on a popular Maryland nature trail. With the suspect still on the run, Morin’s family has launched a digital campaign with hopes of tracking down her killer. Matt McMahon, the father of Morin's oldest child, Morin's sister Rebekah and attorney Randolph Rice join "Banfield" exclusively to discuss the search.

New developments in the Rachel Morin case -- the sheriff tells me they have identified whose arm is seen closing the door in the video of the suspect. Also -- he says they went to Chicago to interview someone. Morin's family tells us the reward for information has now doubled.

In this video clip with the Sheriff, he says the person whose arm is seen in the video "is not in any way tied to the case as a suspect at all."
  • The Sheriff also says, "the people in the residence did not know the person who had committed the home invasion and assault."
  • There were more people in the home than just the two - 1) the young girl who was assaulted, and 2) arm man.
  • MD Investigators interviewed many people in Los Angeles. One of those interviews led them to an individual in Chicago.
  • The person interviewed in Chicago is also not a suspect and was also not able to help identify the suspect in the video.
  • They are far from exhausting leads that they are working.

So, the small, tiny little hand is a man's hand? I don't know what to say.

The Sheriff also thought it was a female's hand and arm closing the door. I still think it was a female's hand and arm. JMO, wish we could see the man who claims it was his arm and hand.

The Sheriff admitted that he misspoke, that he thought it was a female's arm, but it is actually a male's arm. Additionally, they have interviewed that male. MOO

So, a man was at the house where a female was assaulted and it appears he escorted the suspect to the door, spoke to him and then shut the door? I just can't digest this.
The sherrif stated that the other people in the residence were not aware of what had occurred. Though the totality sounds strange, there maybe a context that could explain it:

- A certain number of immigrants (and non immigrants in ubber expensive cities of NYC, LA, SF, BOS, etc) live in arrangements featuring sub rented rooms.

- Residents of the house may not be fully familiar with all the occupants ie- a temporary room mate of somebody sub renting a room.

The totality then leads to:

Suspect: "Hey, I was staying with Enrique and I need to get my tools, X box, steel toed boots etc."
Female resident: Dont know him, but he sounds plausible. "Ok, come in and look for it". Female then gets assaulted.

Male resident: Sees suspect in living room: "What are you doing here?" Suspect: "Oh, I was uhmm.... looking for my steel toed boots. Enrique knows where they are".

Male Resident: Is not hostile, but not welcoming: "Enrique is not here, and I dont see any boots lying around. Need to come back when Enrique is here- bye".

Is it common for LAPD to take DNA evidence and fingerprints in every Home Invasion case? I mean they should but I hear stories about how the LAPD refuses to take blood samples even after a car theft or home invasion it's extremely difficult for them to do so.
My husband lived in LA for 16 years and as recently as 2018. He had the back window of his car smashed in while he was attending some event downtown. They stole a backpack he'd hidden under his driver's seat that contained an iPad, all of his credit cards, and even his passport. Passport theft is a pretty big deal that is often treated more seriously than a stolen wallet, but LAPD didn't even come out to him when he called to report the break-in. They told him to go to the nearest police station to file a report. They didn't fingerprint his car and they certainly didn't swab anything for possible DNA.

and that's EXACTLY what I keep hearing about. My car was broken into and the thief left a pool of blood in my car from smashing the window. The cop said it's NOT worth our time to take a DNA sample for smashing your car window in an attempted car theft.
So what happened for LAPD to take a DNA sample? It must have been pretty serious.

Could be a friend of the guy and he is protecting him. I hope not.
