The trail is only open dawn to dusk only, there's a sign I think saying exactly that, so I would think a regular user of the trail knows to be finished before the sun goes down.

And, not only that, but if you look at the walking trail video posted upthread, you can see that it's quite dark on the trail due to the tree canopy even in the daylight. So, if she was there at 6:30-7:00 pm by the time she walked or ran to the area where she was found, I would think it would have been dark on the trail, even if it was still light out. And, more importantly, I would think that she was well aware that this would be the case. Why did she go?

I'm not sure if she was there to walk or to jog, I think I saw previous mentions that she walked the trail usually. So if she walked, that's a long distance from where she parked to where she was found, so she would've been probably about 7pm or later around the area she was found (if where she was found was close to where she got attacked).
And I thought it was also mentioned that she usually did this trail routine at 6pm, so if she got there at 6:45, she was running late already?
So to go back the way she came to get to the parking lot (if nothing had happened), that would put her close to 8pm or later. And it would've been getting dark around that time, so the whole thing sounds bizarre, i.e., she had a regular walking routine on a trail where she would take almost 2 hours (ending close to dusk), knowing that women should be mindful of what could happen in secluded dark areas.
Anyway, all that's been confirmed is someone saw her at approx 6:45 starting out on her walk.
I don't think she was meeting up with anyone along the trail, as that would be really weird. If she was meeting up with anyone, she'd meet up with them at the parking lot.

Wait, now it's 6:45? I read 6 pm first, then 6:30 which had me concerned about the darkness by drainage tunnels now it's been said she didn't even set out on the actual trail until 6:45?

I think it had been reported to the Harford Sheriff Dept that someone called them to report that they had seen her close to the William St. parking lot, and that it looked like she was just starting out ... and that time, I think, was mentioned as 6:45.

I really really hope they’re watching somebody.

MOO I have horrible fears that law enforcement (by no fault of their own may I add) have literally no clue who actually did this.

I really hope I eat my own words and an arrest comes quickly.
I didn’t want to say it but I have this fear this case will be moved to cold cases and we’ll still be wondering in 5-10 years.

Sorry if this has already been posted

Morin's sister, Rebekah Morin, posted to Facebook on Friday to announce the remembrance walk.

"We the family of Rachel Morin, would like to invite all men, women and children (if you would like) from the community to join us on Saturday, August 19th for the #RememberingRachelMorin walk.

"Together, as a family and a community, we can grieve the tragic loss of a woman who was so full of life. Please join us as we pray and mourn for our beloved Rachel.

"We are hoping to have a "Trail of Flowers and Light" to line both sides of the trail for our walk on the Ma & Pa Trail. If you are able to, we ask that you bring flowers and a battery operated candle to lay on either side of the trail somewhere as we walk Rachel's last steps.

"We will meet at 11 am at the William Street entrance. Then at 11:30, we will begin walking. We will walk to the end of the first half of trail (Tollgate Road) and back.

"There will be a very limited amount of t-shirts available at no cost (we will release the business name in a few days). If there are any other businesses that wish to make and donate t-shirts as well, please message me. After the walk if you want to stop by FLAVOR in Bel Air, they have agreed to donate a portion of all sales that day to the fund for Rachel's children. Thank you.

Any chance that the sheriff noting that MG did not see the crime scene is a shout out to MG from the sherrif? Kind of a hey buddy why do you know all these details? This guy is still on my radar.
The stepdaughter of MG found the body. She called Police and described the location and the state of the body.
Both the man and stepdaughter went together into search mission.

It's disturbing to think that so little could be known as LE seem to imply about a crime that happened somewhere so public .... I really hope there's more info & evidence just being held close while LE circles in on the perp...
