A retired mental health worker has died from coronavirus after returning to the front line to help the struggling NHS in the fight against Covid-19.

Glen Corbin, 59, from Brent in north-west London, worked as a healthcare assistant at the Park Royal Centre for Mental Health for many years and had recently retired.

He then returned to his role to help in the fight against coronavirus working in both acute and rehabilitation services.

May Patricia Bosworth Rest In Peace

Audrey Hepburn's onetime co-star, Patricia Bosworth has died due to the coronavirus. She was 86.


Bosworth's stepdaughter, Fia Hatsav, told The New York Times that pneumonia brought on by the virus was the cause of death. Bosworth died on Thursday in New York.

Bosworth started out as an actress before turning to writing. She wrote biographies on several stars including Marlon Brando and Montgomery Clift,

A young NHS nurse who died after treating stricken coronavirus patients had fallen ill at work but was not allowed to go home because his ward was so short-staffed
, his heartbroken mother claimed last night.

John Alagos, 23, the third nurse and the youngest British medic believed to have succumbed to the deadly Covid-19 virus, collapsed and died at home after an exhausting 12-hour shift.

His mother, Gina Gustilo, 50, told The Mail on Sunday her son had not been wearing the right protective clothing at work.

A “SPARKLY” school worker has died of coronavirus — after becoming a gran for the first time.


Learning mentor Carole Flynn, 54, a mum of three, was struck down late last month and died early on Thursday.

Colleagues called her “a truly remarkable and sparkly person who would fill a room with warmth and laughter by simply being present”.

She had worked at Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School in Coventry for 16 years.

In the UK, a nurse at Liverpool’s Aintree University Hospital died on Friday after testing positive for coronavirus

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chief nurse Dianne Brown said: “It is with great sadness that I can confirm that Liz Glanister, a long-serving staff nurse at Aintree University Hospital, sadly passed away at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital on Friday after being tested positive for Covid-19.

“All our thoughts are with Liz’s family at this time and we offer them our sincere condolences. Liz will be sadly missed by all those who knew and worked with her.”

A nurse who believed she contracted COVID-19 while treating a patient at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit was found dead alone in her Michigan home just days after she was twice denied a coronavirus test because she did not show severe symptoms.


Lisa Ewald’s body was discovered inside her living room in Dearborn, Michigan, by a friend on Wednesday – just days before her 54th birthday.

Friends and family described Ewald as a happy and optimistic person who was known to have asthma.

Despite her underlying health condition, she was willing to risk her life to help others, according to her family.
