My point is that the link with the knife that you've posted several times has the biologist claiming that LNC DNA analysis is completely transparent in the US, but according to the prestigious Nature magazine, the methods for analysis are not made available and are proprietary. I'm wondering whether the biologist knows what he's talking about since he contradicts respected published information.

Really?

Lets look at this again shall we

Oh and I am sure you know that metric is the WORLDWIDE accepted measurement standard not imperial

Oops, now Amanda met Rudy a few times (later in the transcript):

GB: Miss Knox, you are accused together with Raffaele Sollecito of murdering Meredith together with Rudy Guede. I would like you to tell me exactly what kind of relations you had with Rudy Guede. You already said that you saw each other few times, but I would like to ask for more information about this aspect.

AK: I didn't have any relations with Rudy Guede. I knew him in the sense that someone said "Look, this is Rudy, this is Amanda." I saw him around a few times. But I didn't have any relations with him.

GB: Can you tell me if you frequented each other, if you went out together? Because you said that once you saw him at a party.

And a little later in the transcript:

CP: Rudy asserts that he saw you in VIA DELLA PERGOLA-- [raising voice to speak over further objections]:

When asked if she knew Rudy, we go from "not much", to they'd met "a few times" (keeping in mind that she'd only been in the country a couple of weeks), to partied together, to Rudy placing Knox at the scene of the crime.

so much easier if the entire context is included :)

It is my belief that you know about DIALECTS

Let's see. We have, for example, high German and low German. High German is what is spoken by educated people and in professional situations, low German is a dialect and is not used in academic and formal situations (more commonly found in smaller towns and villages). A written example in English is where people write definite as "definate" or definitely as "definately". High German would look at the root word "finite" and expand on the concept or make compound words (Germans are notorious for their compound words). A spoken example in English is when people get their past/present/future tenses all screwed up like "I have came". That would be an example of how high German and low German is different. It's comparible to proper English and slang English. Should we assume that the interpreter was uneducated and using slang when speaking with Knox? Would that explain why the statements given by Knox at 1:45, 5:45 and a few hours later were all 100% written in English and consistent with each other? Would it have been better if it had been written in slang with the F-bomb interspersed in the same way that Knox spoke while describing Meredith immediately after her body was discovered?

Maybe that would be true if the article was not discussing LCN DNA which is in fact what they are discussing

Is the biologist not discussing the DNA on the knife?

You may want to research the viral nature of cold sores in the same way as researching coerced statement ... they aren't caused by eating seafood.

There were two prosecutors, and they were officers of the court ... representing the judicial system.

Don't mix Douglas Preston's crazy theories with the murder of Meredith Kercher.

The only crazy theories regarding that case came from GM himself

Even though all the Monster's victims were shot with the same gun, Mignini told a court that it wasn't the

work of a single serial killer. Rather, Mignini described an elaborate conspiracy of 20 people, including

government officials and law enforcement officers, who made up a secret society behind the Monster

killings.

Mignini indicted the 20 people and charged them with the concealment of Narducci's murder, and laid out a

hard-to-follow plot that included body doubles and featured Narducci's body being swapped - not once, but twice!

If all of this sounds hard to believe, it is. Tuesday, in a preliminary hearing, Perugia Judge Paolo Micheli threw out the case against the 20. The judge found there was no solid evidence to back up Mignini's claim that Narducci was murdered, let alone the victim of a satanic sect

Late Tuesday evening, when the 20 defendants were freed of all charges, they celebrated in front of the courthouse, opening bottles of champagne

According to the Italian newsmagazine Panorama, investigators discovered that Mignini maintained computer lists entitled "Attacks to Remember" and "Orgy of Attacks." The lists contained names of journalists, government officials, and members of the Italian Parliament.

Mignini was convicted of launching investigations into his critics in the media, the police, and the government. The prosecutor illegally wiretapped phones and cell phones in his ambition to end the "orgy of attacks."

Because he violated the public trust, the Florence court banned Mignini from holding public office for the rest of his life. But, during his appeal, the prosecutor gets to remain in office. Mignini has not been called on to resign either

He was convicted of:

1.) Illegally investigating journalists who had criticized him with the "intent to harass or deter them from pursuing their legitimate profession". Specifically the court found that Mignini had targeted Italian journalists Vincenzo Tessandori, Gennaro De Stefano, and Roberto Fiasconaro, because they had criticized his investigations into the death of Narducci.

2.) Ordering an illegal investigation of the Florentine ex police chief Giuseppe De Donno.

3.) Ordering illegal investigations of two officials of the Viminale, the Ministry of the Interior in Rome, including an illegal investigation of the Roberto Sgalla, ex-director of the office of external affairs

Actually Otto seafood and sunlight can trigger them

There is a distinction between LCN DNA and DNA

It usually has to do with the numbers of picograms

There are varying types of dialects of many languages of which I am certain most know about :)

The biologist is talking about the two pieces of DNA evidence (as the interviewer has claimed this is the only evidence keeping Knox in jail). The biologist dismissed the bra clasp because of contamination, and dismissed the LNC DNA on the knife because the test methods were not transparent. He claims that test methods are always transparent and, keeping in mind that he's talking about the LND DNA on the knife, he basically contradicts published documentation stating that test methods are proprietary and are never released.

Raffaele and Amanda claimed they were doing drugs and drinking alcohol on the night of the murder, but there seems to be some effort to make this fact disappear. Either they were twisted out of shape, or they were not. If they were twisted out of shape, it could account for the alleged memory loss, weak or dishonest answers given to police and ever changing alibis. If they were not, the it really leaves me wondering why Knox lied to police and implicated an innocent man after 2 hours of questioning, alleging "physical and mental abuse for 14 hours. No food, water, no official interpreter." Someone with clear, honest memories doesn't get their facts completely turned around in two hours, especially when there's a language barrier for the first hour.

The dialogue went more like.....

someone thought that because a number turned up on her phone that happened to be a person accused of trafficking heroin that she must now of been doing cocaine or something similar

IIRC someone even went so far as to suggest that she slept with this person which we all know is not true

They can trigger them in those that already have the virus. You can contract the virus through contact with those with an open sore and some research has come out recently that it can be passed through saliva and bodily fluids.

so very true it does not have to be sexual contact

you can simply KISS someone or as virus's tend to be they travel those little devils

and dont go on a cruise and get them as they advise no sunlight, which truly can turn a cruise upside down not that i am talking from experience or anything :giggle:

Thanks. That was my understanding as well. It is a contagious virus that remains dormant most of the time, but which can be triggered due to various external factors.

Amanda and Raffaele became fast friends ... and we know that Amanda became fast friends with others. She and Rudy had spent time socially prior to the murder; socializing in a private home and enjoying some illegal drugs. For someone from Seattle, where drug use is looked upon far more seriously, Amanda would have viewed her shared illegal activities as a type of bonding experience ... not as something she would do with someone she couldn't trust.

as per her OWN testimony

they were introduced but not friends i am sure we are all well aware of what her testimony is :)

It is my opinion ... not based on documentation ... that if Amanda and Raffaele were so screwed up that night that they couldn't remember what they did, and claimed flashbacks and erased memories, then there's a good possibility they took something a little harder than hashish. I do not know anything about drug testing, and did not pursue any information about it because Knox and Raffaele admitted that they were high on drugs and alcohol on the night of the murder. I do not know if meth stays in the system for any length of time, or cocaine, or anything about it.

So Rudy's sentence was reduced because he cut a deal with the prosecutor, even though that's not allowed, and even though Rudy was entitled to a reduced sentence because of opting for the fast-track option?

No drugs except marijuana ... and we all know that doesn't make people lose their memories or falsely confess ... although they could have had the munchies and eaten dinner three or four times on the night of the murder.

well that would so explain why so many of us were perplexed on how his sentence was determined but such strange numbers :)

Anything to distance Amanda from Rudy ... I guess. Knox admitted that she met Rudy a few times during trial testimony. We can't stick those words back in her mouth.
