I used to ride atv's near the north east corner of broomfield and leaton there used to be trails and a pond back there surronded by hills or mounds of dirt. now this was many years ago and things my have changed. But it is in the area .. especially for an atv...

My bad...it wad the corner of E.Remus and S.Loomis rd.. I looked at the sattellite image of the area and the woods ,trails ,and pond with an island is still there. If you have an atv you would know of that place.....just saying...

Last Man to See Carnel Chamberlain Lawyered Up, Won’t Talk Yahoo! Contributor Network - Tue, 26th Jun 2012 11:15 PM

The last man known to have see 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain before he was reported missing Thursday has lawyered-up and won't talk to authorities, according to local news reports.

It's been five days since Carnel disappeared from his home on the Saginaw-Chippewa Indian Reservation, and an intense search to find him is continuing, WNEM reports. The search is concentrated in a 10-mile radius around the little boy's home.

Missing Persons of America said Bennett has refused to talk further with authorities without a lawyer present. Jaimee Chamberlain confirmed Bennett's hiring of a lawyer and refusal to talk to authorities Tuesday in an interview with WNEM. She told reporters Carnel called Bennett 'stepdad" and Bennett professed to love the little boy. She explained to the station her surprise that Bennett is not cooperating in the investigation.

Police and volunteers have been searching for the Carnel, but there has been no trace of him. Now it seems the focus is on Bennett. He has not been arrested but he has been detained for questioning several times.

So he's claiming that he was out looking for Carnel when Mom got home?

My best guess is AB is giving lots of different stories. None of which make sense, which is why we don't have a time line.

He was in the pool, then the yard, etc. etc. ALL of this is coming from bits and pieces of partial truths or bs from AB, who KNOWS what happened to this little boy.

Come on LE, interrogate the bejeebies out of AB so he TELLS THE TRUTH with regards to what happened to Carnel and where he put him!

I hope there isn't a place AB feels safe right now without telling the truth. I hope Carnel haunts AB non stop until AB tells the truth.

This is good to know. Hopefully they will recall what they remember about what AB was doing, or not doing. If Carnell was supervised and by whom...

AB should keep in mind what is being made public in the news is only a tiny fraction of the case LE is building here. It's only a matter of time. :jail:

Carnel deserves to be brought home. He deserves justice.

I hate to say this but I'm wondering if AB's confidence is do to that he knows where CC is and search crews and volenteers have "walked over it"or just over looked it. Mabey the house or really close to it.Just a thought. There is just too many possibilities with no real clear timeline. A detailed press confrence is overdue!

Were there any ATV tracks in the yard?

When was the last time the ATV was fueled? Was it fueled at a gas station? Jerry cans?

How much fuel was in the ATV when LE took it?

How far could the ATV go, both in geography with the trails/terrain, and in relation to the fuel levels?

Was the ATV parked as usual?

All very good questions. Additonally, anyone who saw AB on the ATV anytime Thursday should contact LE and tell them what they saw. Was he riding alone, with anyone? What time, etc.

Even the smallest thing could break this case wide open. Let LE make the decision on what is important or not. Don't hesitate, make the call for Carnel! Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police at 989-775-4700.

Are they back at the WWTP Ponds today? Thought they used the sonar devices and said they found nothing?

I want to know why they can't or aren't draining these two ponds. Is the search of these two ponds still ongoing or complete?

So AB refuses to take a poly. Why doesn't that surprise me?
If he wasn't responsible he'd be beating down the doors at LE INSISTING on taking a poly, so LE could rule him out and look in other area's.

Refusing a poly is telling. very very telling.

He knows EXACTLY what happened to little Carnel. And sadly this 20 yr old man appears to not give a rats arse about a little 4 yr old, concerned only for himself. :furious:

Cubby asked a question about draining the wastewater treatment plant. If that's waste water, it's possible that they cannot pump it out of there. It's probably a violation of federal and state law to pump that water out of the ponds to nearby soil or into another lake or stream. That water is basically there to filter out sewage and dangerous contaminants. There may be a liner around those ponds that keeps the water from leaking into the water table. It would take lots and lots of tanker trucks equipped with septic vacuums to empty the lakes. By lots, I'm talking about possibly a few hundred trucks. Was someone aware of that snafu? It's tough to say.

I believe they are using sonar to search the ponds.

They can't dredge it, it would tear the liner of the pond then causing ground contamination. Dogs aren't effective due to the high concentration of ammonia and other decomposing waste. So sonar is really the best option.

Ok, is this the vehicle mom, JC, mentioned an aunt/family member seeing near the casino? and LE was going to view survelliance video?

Who exactly reported seeing this light green Astro van near Carnel's home? Did a neighbor report seeing this? Is this something LE discovered via routine canvassing of the area? Or did this info come from the last person to see Carnel who refuses to cooperate with police?

Would really like to hear more about this light green astro van. Not sure what to think of it at this point.
