Let's talk about the planned dinner again. Was dinner being made at the friend's and by DS? Did the friend already buy all the food? Did DS need to stop at a grocery store or maybe a party store? Are there cameras available at these locations?

I feel so bad for her beautiful friend. I can't imagine how she must be feeling. I wish I understood how alarm bells didn't ring until the next day, though. I have a lot of close friends like this, and if I was a no-show for even an hour, phone calls would be flying around. So, was this something Danielle did frequently and that's why alarm bells were not going off? Is she somewhat forgetful and/or frequently dozes off and is a no-show?

I'm under the impression that Dani was buying and bringing the food with her to her friends house. Although, I'm not sure if she had this food ready to pick up at her apartment or weather she had to buy it on the way from work to her friends.

I've been wondering this myself. If she stopped on the way home, the most likely locations are the Kroger at 12 Mile and Halstead or the Kroger at 11 Mile and Middlebelt. There is also a somewhat seedy grocery store right across Telegraph Rd. from her office (I work just north of there on Telegraph).

She's into health so perhaps if she stopped at a store, it would be more of a fruit market/whole food type. I could be wrong but that's the types of place I would stop and both my daughters who are all into nutrition.

I thought about that a little bit. Kroger really has a decent healthy food section - especially the store at 12 Mile and Halsted.

Danielle's Parents have stated this was not typical for Danielle to break a commitment. How ever we don't know what exchanges the two may have had lately. Something benign her friend was passing the no show off too. Meaning maybe Danielle was extra busy at work, had a cold, holiday prep etc. etc. Something that didn't raise alarm bells right away. I am sure her friend is feeling horrible over this. IMO

Thank you for posting this link. I'm outraged that the courts are more concerned about protecting this guy's 1st amendment rights than they are saving thousands of others from being trafficked and murdered. JMO Shutting down Backpage would be a huge step in curbing the reach of trafficking. So sad :(

But for LE looping in DEA/SONIC, this would be my leader in the clubhouse. But--pure speculation--I don't see LE involving multiple drug enforcement/interdiction agencies absent LE having some solid lead that connects DS's disappearance to drug activity.

Would the smoking-related key-chain fob and DS liking paraphernalia related items on her etsy account be enough for LE to call in the drug squads? I don't know. Given the prevalence of smoking among DS's generation, it seems the drug guys would end up involved in most every disappearance; if having those items on her CV were enough.

But anything's possible, especially with the limited information we have.

So sorry ... :blushing:: What does "CV" stand for in this instance?

couldn't find anything on their page about DS... ?? date, time? Would that be City of Berkley-Government page?

Berkley, Michigan - no comments there either...

:welcome6: :newbie: s :greetings:

It's a group, not a page. If you type in the city without the state you should be able to find it under the correct tab.

Thank you Bravo. [emoji4]

Her friend thought Danielle fell asleep. Simple as that. Maybe DS complained of being exhausted, which would explain why she may have chosen to spend the night. The friend may have fallen asleep herself, then slept most of the day because she had to work that coming night. She too may have been exhausted.

The only thing I see in the length of time between expecting a guest and going to look for her is nothing more than an unfortunate choice. I see zero actions that would damn or discredit her choices. I'm sure in a bazillion years the idea that DS would be abducted would never cross her mind. What are the odds?...

Generally speaking..

We don't know anything except that DS is missing, and speculation about loved ones making mistakes is both hurtful and against TOS here in WS. Coldpizza JUST warned us not to go there, yet it still goes there. *slaps forehead*.

I keep coming back to the total silence by LE. Yes I get the whole keeping things under wraps. But this early and this much push by family to get this heavily out on SM, I would think we would get something from LE. Just a "hey we are working it, keep the tips coming in, but we have to keep facts of case silent".

I totally agree...it's maddening

JDJ, it isn't my theory. I wouldn't rule anything out. The goal is to find DS. I really don't care if any feelings are hurt along the way.

Take it easy. We DO care about people's feelings, particularly our verified insiders. I believe you may be relatively new to this board/site and we don't slam our VI by saying we don't care who gets hurt.
They are already hurting more than you'll ever know unless you've been there.

Holocene...Don't stay off board..we need you and are praying for you and yours EVERYDAY.

Hi, everyone! I just joined but have been reading Websleuths for a while. I grew up in the Detroit area and now live out of state.

Someone said something upthread that really struck a chord with me, something to the effect of "she's been here all along and nobody knew." I think the simplest explanation is that someone else living or working in the apartment complex had something to do with it. By all accounts, Danielle is a trusting person, and someone shady could have recognized that and used it to their advantage. They could have used something as simple as asking her to help them carry groceries into their apartment.

As a side note, if she does smoke weed, I really don't think that has anything to do with it. Many professional types smoke and buy from friends of friends or even online. I think the involvement of the drug agencies is that LE asked for additional help on the case in whatever capacity they could get.

I'm beginning to think she's in the apartment complex somewhere.
