Danielle Stislicki vanished after leaving her job at MetLife around 5 p.m. Dec. 2, police said. She had asked to leave work early with plans to meet a longtime friend but never arrived.

Until what time would she usually work if 5pm is early? I would think that Metlife would not be a place where one would have evening shifts. So perhaps she works until 6 or so?

Did she give "cooking dinner at a friend's house" as a reason for leaving work early? Is it unusual for her to ask to leave work early? Could there have been another reason why she wanted to leave work early?

If she was going to cook dinner, I wonder if she stopped at a grocery store on her way home. Is there a particular grocery store where she usually shops? One has to make sure flyers are up there.

Off topic, but I'm having trouble getting spaces between my words when I reply to something with a quote. Is anyone else having that issue or know why? Sometimes I can cancel and then try again and it works. Otherwise it just doesn't work.

Dexter, Sierah is who brought me here to websleuths as a member. I think of her and her boyfriend and family very often. I had to have my boyfriend take away my phone and drag me away from my computer for that one, and I finally told him last night I need him to do the same for Danielle. A coworker's daughter works at MetLife with her, and that's how I originally heard about her disappearance.

I've always been a little obsessive about missing children. I think the expansion to the obsession with missing adults came to life when I was separating from my abusive ex-husband and my friends and family sincerely thought they might find me in pieces in my freezer.

IIRC, DS usually worked until 5:00 but left work at @4:30 on Friday, December 2.

Mrs. Stislicki said that Danielle left work a little early due to the pre-planned dinner with a longtime friend, but Danielle was also scheduled to work the following day (Saturday) at 8:00AM.

Steelman - I think you have the location of MetLife wrong. It's off of Telegraph, not the Lodge.

Put that into a map search and tell me what shows up.

Opioids make me :puke: While not a true drug allergy, I always say that I'm allergic to Codeine (or whatever other opioid might be prescribed) because I don't want to get a stomach ache and :puke: When I've had surgery, I'm given a red drug alert bracelet so attending personnel don't inadvertently give me something that makes me :puke: before, during, or after. :notgood:
Same..I really think we're allergic.
It's what my Dr. tells me anyway.

Maybe check local stores and their camera's.
Perhaps the police have already😉

So glad you got out of such a terrible relationship.

I have buried 3 friends..all at the hands of their significant others..since 1996.

One, strangled with a phone cord a few blocks from where I live. We graduated together and worked together. I was working in the mall when my mother called with the news.

One, her husband duct taped her mouth and put her in the garage..bound, car running.

One..my closest friends..a sahm with NO SIGNS OF DV..her husband strangled her..put her in bed with her children ( 9 year old girl..and 4 year old twins ) went out to the garage and shot himself.
No one knows why..we suspect debt.

Then there was searching for Sierah, waiting outside the barn for hours, knowing something horrible happened.
Searching for the Skelton boys..

Hopefully some new news will come soon..and it will be GOOD news!❤

Still, I wonder why she asked to leave early. I believe such dinners happened regularly. Would she always ask to leave early, or was this an exception? It does not seem that there was any pressure to show up at the friends' house at a certain time. At first, the friend did not think too much of it, when Danielle did not show up.

I am just wondering. Was there something else that Danielle wanted to do before going to her friends' house. Did she stop somewhere?

I left work early that day, too. Why? Because it was Friday and I was tired of working and I wanted to go home. If she's working for an insurance company, I can't even imagine how chaotic life is in December with people trying to renegotiate for the next year. It could just be that she had dinner plans, was looking forward to them, and said, "I've had enough this week, I have to be here tomorrow, it's time to go home." But, that's the thing with this, there are so so so so many unknown variables. :(

Monsters among us. Domestic violence is real. Sorry for your losses. Studied so at least 50% of the time when someone is killed, it's by someone they know.

If Danielle DID stop somewhere on her way home, and LE knows about it, they're not telling ;) I thought she might have stopped at a market for last-minute ingredients for the dinner. If so, purchases could have been in her vehicle with a time-stamped receipt that would tell where she'd been and at what time. There could also be store surveillance video of Danielle in a store. This information would be important evidence, so I'm guessing that's why we don't know whether or not she stopped somewhere on her way home. :moo:

She could've went straight home and went back out to load the jeep when someone approached. We do not know for sure if someone napped her, taking an overnight bag as well. I know it's been speculated she didn't enter her apartment on Friday night, but with the family entering on Saturday, once she was found she was missing, it might be hard to tell.

I wonder too about Danielle stopping off to pick up food supplies before back to the apartment. Did the friend say if she was supplying all of the food for the dinner? Still Danielle could've stopped to pickup something.

Somebody said if you click (and then maybe unclick?) one of the formatting buttons that contains an A at the top of the editor, it clears the formatting bug that causes the spacing issue. Looks like there are three buttons with an A, though and I can't remember which one she said to click.

That's the wrong address. The correct address is 25330 Telegraph Rd. Southfield, MI 48033.

i ran into the same problem when using my laptop (phone seems to be ok). I found clicking on Go Advanced fixed the issue. Not a real fix, just a work around.

Yes, you said it all❤
My biggest concern was always the children. My daughter & the 9 year old have been best friends since preschool. It's how I met their mother, actually.
Anyway, they went on to graduate college together, ( university of Michigan) get married, and they each just had Their first child. ( my daughter a 3 week old girl, she, a 2 month old son)
She ( daughters bestie/9 year old ) went on to receive her masters in social work and works with troubled children❤ Her true calling😉
The twins..fabulous! He just recently married and is a heating & cooling specialist, she, a dental hygienist.

In case anyone cared what happened to the children❤

As far as Danielle goes,
Do we know if there's an active search party yet??
Is anyone looking?
If not, it leads me to believe ( as has been mentioned) the police DO indeed have a lead ( fingers crossed) and are hopefully just biding their time until the perp slips up..or more evidence is gathered..sigh..where ARE you Danielle?

I was wondering about the kids, Dexter! I'm glad they adjusted well.

For some reason I think it went down this way. Danielle wants to get off early to ensure not too late of an evening. She was to be back Saturday morning at 8 a.m. to do a training session. She drives home. Leaves her purse as she has other items to carry and only going to be a minute. Maybe she needed to grab groceries bought prior. It was mild temps then so likely would not want them sitting in her jeep all day. Something happened in the parking lot or in the building itself. Not her apt. IMO

{{{Hugs}}}
They sure did❤ ( no memory of what happened that dreadful day, either)
Thanks sweetie! Means a lot!
( we call my aunt smallfry❤)
