Larry Nassar has done a lot of damage to USA Gymnastics, United States Olympic Committee, Michigan State, and State Of Michigan. This on top of the Flint Water Crisis since it happened in Michigan.

Damaged reputations are long lasting.
 
Not gymnastics or Nassar related, but there are accusations out now against a former USA Swim coach;

According to reports, former USA Swimming team coach Sean Hutchison is under investigation for allegedly taking nude photographs of one of his swimmers when she was a teen. She was a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic swim team and was the 2009 world champion in the 200-meter individual medley who placed fifth in that event in the 2012 games. She claims that Hutchison, 46, started grooming her at the King Aquatics swim club in Seattle when she was just 13. According to a statement she gave on Wednesday, the assaults took place on trips and during training sessions at the pool.

Larry Nassar now housed in Milan prison

Larry Nassar, one of the most notorious and prolific child molesters, is currently housed in the Federal Correctional Institution in Milan, the Bureau of Prisons website showed Friday.

The former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor will be processed through Milan, a low security prison in Washtenaw County, and then transferred to another facility, said Matt Newburg, one of Nassar’s attorneys.

It is not uncommon for people convicted of federal charges to start in the Milan prison, the only federal prison in Michigan, located 45 miles southwest of Detroit. Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his cohort, Bobby Ferguson, initially were sent to Milan before they were transferred to other federal prisons...

Larry Nassar sent to maximum-security federal prison in Tucson

Larry Nassar, the former gymnastics doctor accused of molesting 265 women and girls, has been transferred to a maximum-security federal prison that offers a sex-offender program, the Bureau of Prisons website shows.

Nassar, 54, started serving a 60-year federal sentence for possession of child *advertiser censored* at the U.S. penitentiary in Tucson, Arizona. In the unlikely event he outlasts that sentence, he would be transferred to Michigan to begin serving two 40-year state sentences for the sexual abuse of 10 girls.

USP Tucson is part of the system's Sex Offender Management Program, which means it has a higher proportion of sex-offenders on site and also offers treatment...

They were little girls with dreams of Olympic gold when they started in gymnastics. Now they’re women with lifelong injuries, suffocating anxiety and debilitating eating disorders.

They are the other victims of USA Gymnastics.

Thirteen former U.S. gymnasts and three coaches interviewed by The Associated Press described a win-at-all-cost culture rife with verbal and emotional abuse in which girls were forced to train on broken bones and other injuries. That culture was tacitly endorsed by the sport’s governing body and institutionalized by Bela and Martha Karolyi, the husband-and-wife duo who coached America’s top female gymnasts for three decades.

The gymnasts agreed to speak to AP, some for the first time, after the recent courtroom revelations about USA Gymnastics’ former team doctor, Larry Nassar, who recently was sentenced to decades in prison for sexually assaulting young athletes for years under the guise of medical treatment...

Aly Raisman files suit against USOC, USA Gymnastics

Six-time Olympic medalist Aly Raisman is suing the U.S. Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics, claiming both organizations “knew or should have known” about abusive patterns by a disgraced former national team doctor now in prison for sexually abusing young athletes.

Raisman filed the lawsuit in California on Wednesday. The filing alleges negligence by the USOC and USA Gymnastics for failing to make sure appropriate protocols were followed in regards to monitoring Larry Nassar. Nassar, who is named as a co-defendant in the lawsuit, is serving decades in prison for molesting some of the sport’s top athletes and others as well as child *advertiser censored* crimes...

Jordyn Wieber: Engler ‘lobbied against’ Nassar victims

Former Olympic gymnast Jordyn Wieber said Michigan State University interim President John Engler “personally lobbied against” Larry Nassar’s victims when he spoke out against a package of sexual assault reforms in the Legislature.

“If his actions are intended to promote healing and restore confidence in MSU, they’re doing just the opposite,” Wieber told an audience of students and faculty at the university’s Wharton Center on Thursday.

Engler had said during his appointment that he would treat students on campus “as if they were my own daughters.” His recent comments, Wieber said, meant “that promise has not been kept.” ...

Michigan State dean faces 4 charges in Nassar case


EAST LANSING, Mich. - A Michigan State University official is facing four charges in an investigation into the handling of complaints against the former sports doctor Larry Nassar, who was convicted of molesting women and girls in his care.

William Strampel, who was dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine until late last year, was charged Tuesday with a felony, a high court misdemeanor and two misdemeanors. After a judge authorized the charges, a state police detective declined to tell reporters what charges Strampel is facing, saying a news conference is scheduled for later.

Strampel is due to be arraigned in the afternoon...

Complaint details allegations against Larry Nassar's former boss at MSU

...According to the complaint, a search warrant was executed in February and 50 photos were uncovered of female genitalia, nude and semi-nude women, sex toys and *advertiser censored*.

“Many of these photos are of what appear to be ‘selfies’ of female MSU students, as evidence by the MSU clothing and piercings featured in multiple photos,” according to the complaint.

The collection included a video Nassar performing “treatment” on a young female patient, the complaint said...
