We should also remember that the "Trust no one" tweet came just a few days after the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving was the 22nd, the tweet on the 26th if I am reflecting correctly.

Where did Julia spend Thanksgiving, and was it an uneventful holiday? Who did she spend it with?

From this article, it sounds as though she was home for that last Thanksgiving:

"We're thankful we had our last Thanksgiving with Julia, not knowing it would be our last," Kim said.

The one who called LE was AG, who also spoke at Julia's service I believe. I would guess that to be the one who called to say she hadn't been seen for a few days. I would think she is the one who was in and out, and a good friend. Not absolutely positive, though.

AG was not the roommate that was "in & out". That was KM who was there only to pick-up a few things to spend the night at her boyfriend's place. AG spent the whole weekend at her boyfriend's or her family home. I could check that out, but suffice to say she was away for the weekend.

Anyone know if this quote comes after problems with the roommate? This would make sense to me. Also was that person a follower on her twitter?

Julia Niswender case: Few new details emerge

A day after police confirmed that Eastern Michigan University student Julia Niswender was drowned in the bathtub in her apartment in December, few new details emerged in the investigation Wednesday.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesman Khaalid Walls Wednesday confirmed Niswender family statements that Homeland Security Investigations is assisting in the case.

I recall previous conversation about the FBI working on the case upthread, so were both the FBI and ICE assisting local LE?

Computer crimes fall under the jurisdiction of ICE (Homeland Security) as they are Federal charges when they occur on the internet. This includes distribution of child sexually abusive content IIRC

It appears she worked at Walmart on Thanksgiving day and Black Friday, then she went back home to Monroe and spent time with family. They went to Ohio to watch the UofM vs Ohio State game with extended family, on the 25th she posted a snowy photo from her drive to work, the 26th is when she posted trust no one and 2 instagram photos.

When you scroll down instagram photos it will show the date as day/month/year, if you click on an individual photo it will show the date in months. Therefore, I decided to take screen shots and add the individual dates as month/day/year.

November 26, 2012 was a Monday. Is it possible that returning back to school after a weekend at home Julia discovered something wrong in her room/apartment causing her to post the Trust No One comment?

It is reasonable to assume that LE enlisted the help of any/all agencies to help with the Cyber investigation from the moment they found out Julia had multiple internet accounts for no other reason than that. Julia's beautiful face, daily thoughts and activities were posted for all the world to see for eternity. We could assume at least a 1000 people were exposed when combining Facebook, Twitter and Intsagram and probably more when friends of friends are accounted for. Even had Julia not had these accounts, we are in the age of email. Those would have had to be checked as well.

I need some help filling in some fact gaps.

The last contact we can determine that Julia had with anyone (except the Perp), was when she sent Jennifer a txt/app at approx 10:30pm on Sunday eve. We now know she was enjoying watching one of her favorite movies. All was well

Questions: where were the roomates that evening, and when did they return to the apartment?

What time did Julia normally go to bed? What did she normally sleep in; pajamas or sweats, or? She was found partially clad. Was she found in pajamas or her normal sleep wear? Was her hair fashioned for sleep time? (Many girls wear their hair in a knot on top of their heads for bedtime)
Or was she found in clothing that suggests she was expecting company? Was she gussied up for a guy, or looking like an evening home alone?

Was there 1/2 eaten food in her living quarters? What type?
Was there freshly laundered clothes needing to be folded or put away?
Was there evidence of a recent stop at a convenience store for a beverage or a snack?

Had Julia been on campus that evening for any reason; to use sports facilities or the library?

What items were found in her car that might have shown where she had recently been?

Did Julia have a weapon in her apartment or car for protection? If so, when did she obtain it?

Have all maintainence people with master keys at that building been thoroughly interviewed?

What is the theory amongst the other people that lived in that building? Did anyone male move out within a month of the incident?

Would anyone/ buildings have a clear view of Julia's bedroom window, perhaps with binoculars?

More questions to follow....

This isn't exactly on topic to your post but ....yesterday I was looking at Jennifer and her mothers Facebook pages, along with the youngest daughter. Her mother has three videos from January 2012 posted of the twins getting matching tattoos. It sounds like the whole family went to watch bc I can hear them and mom is taping it. Definitely tore at my heart watching them in the video.
Buttttt... Then I was on Chelsea's sister (Megan) page and she recently posted a picture of a quote saying she was thinking of getting it as a tattoo but wanted to go back to the place that she got her previous tattoo of her sisters Initials. (This is also posted in HFCB).
So I guess my thinking was .... And I know it may be far fetched but we're looking for connections.
Where was this tattoo place and was there any way both group of sisters went to the same one? Megan mentions where hers (off M50) is but the twins video does not have a name in it. Unless someone can identify it by the inside look. When did Bruck(s) get their tattoos and when? Just my own mind wandering. I'm not saying the tattoo artist did anything or their cases are related...just forming a statement on a common place they may have shared.

Thanks for clarification. Do I have this right..... AG must have called after returning from her weekend away and not seeing /talking to Julia all weekend.

Also. I was under the impression "in and out" meant several times. Your post made me realize she (KM) was "in " to get some things and then "out" for the night. One time in and out. Which night was that (Sunday night?) .... do you know when she actually returned to the apartment for any length of time

Make sure you have the corrected info from Trojan for that (see the quote above here). AG is the friend who was away for the weekend. KM picked up some things, then spent night with boyfriend.

I think that may indeed be what the quote was referring to. I'd like to line up her problems with the roommate in relation to other happenings. Maybe this will give us a clearer picture of what a normal day was like for Julia.

So there are two references to "trust no one" on two accounts on the same day (November 26th). One is on twitter and the other is on Instagram.

There seems to be only one Tattoo parlor that is off M50, namely Cold Steel Tattoos (http://www.coldsteeltattoos.com)
This is just down the road (4 min walk) from the Turnquist house. However, I looked at the video and the flooring, tattoo artist, etc. don't seem to match.

On Nov.26 Julia tweets a picture with text (also about trust). Did she make this picture herself using some app, or is this something that she retweeted or downloaded it from somewhere? It states that she only chooses a few that she trusts. So this is probably about friends (not family) because family you do not select. But it really could be about anything, something big, something trivial. Who knows? But I think it could be related to the roommate.

By the way, the roommate KM did follow Julia on twitter and instagram.

I am not sure what this means, but in one screenshot of the Nov.26 posts there is 1 more "like" than in the other screenshot.

Thank you b_s for that information. Since there are so many tweets it will take PB awhile to run through. Probably (likely) to reveal nothing, but you never know. Note for family or friends PB works best for those who were friends or already following the person. IIRC

The tweet / instagram could be nothing or it could be a passive aggressive posting to someone on her feed. The roommate following these accounts lends a little support to that theory. (supposing we could put dates to when they started having problems and the tweet). I'm not putting too much stock in it, but as she was a communicator, I'm going to look for possible connections / relevancy.

The Reed case was a little closer to home. Turnquist, who works at Meijer in Pittsfield Township, interviewed Demarius for a job a few weeks before he was killed.

For some reason I thought Kim worked at the Meijer in Monroe, according to this article, Kim worked at the Meijer in Pittsfield Township. Is that the Meijer on Carpenter Road, was she working at this location during the time of Julia's murder or did she transfer locations? TIA
