After listening to the press conference, sounds like she was stabbed inside her home and staggered outside with her cell phone to her death. They declined to say if she left the wedding with anyone but said that they will be using green light (camera) technology to watch for a specific vehicle that may have followed her home.

The Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue confirmed her death in a Facebook post on Saturday, writing: “We are shocked and saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Samantha Woll, our Board President.”
White said Woll's death "was not motivated by antisemitism" and that her killer “acted alone." Woll’s death came at a time of heightened fear of antisemitic attacks following the Israel-Palestine war in the Middle East, according to information from the Department of Homeland Security, ABC News reported

Detroit police officers near where Samantha Woll, the president of a downtown synagogue, was found dead.
James E. White, the Detroit police chief, said at a news conference that he was “just short of calling one of the people a suspect, but we are working to that end.”
“We are confident we’re on the right track, but I’m not prepared to tell you the relationship between her and the suspect as of yet,” he said.
Chief White emphasized that Ms. Woll’s killing did not appear to be related to antisemitism.
“We’re confident with the information that we have right now that this is not,” he said, adding, “We do have another working theory that we’re looking at where the evidence has taken us to, and we’re going to exhaust that.”

The most common scenario for women being killed is in their home by a known person. Hate crimes are public.
Yes unfortunately it's often someone known to the victim. The way the police worded it, it sounds like they have a known connection to someone that might be upset with her or they have evidence that there was someone that had been an issue or concern.

Yeah the press conference sounded like LE isn't looking for much public help at this time - they seem to think they know just what they're looking for IMO

My hunch is they are waiting for DNA match to nail it. I think they know who it is. Not a fact, just speculating.

That makes sense, but I think it may be possible a stranger followed her home...obviously the LE has more evidence than I do but I noticed this hate crime in the news recently.
The little boy was stabbed in his own house.

That case has been established as a hate crime by his own family members who detail exactly what pushed him into such hate and violence. Its documented all around.
This case doesnt have that and LE has established it is not a hate crime.
