Did we know the names of the people who Shawn listed he wanted fired in his bomb scare? I apologize for a repeat but I hadn't seen their names nor what he had written in the note. I do recall someone mentioning what if Edgar had worked with Shawn at one time.

snipped

Morgan pleaded guilty in 2004 to a misdemeanor terrorist threat. The incident occurred in 2002 when Morgan was working in an Arkansas factory. Morgan left a note in the bathroom, reading: "Notice if Eddie, Britt, Amy, & Gary B.. aren't fire soon I will leave a bomb and blow everybody up I'm not joking Take me seriosly (sic)." Two days later, another note in the restroom read, "Bomb baby boom."

His court date is coming up on the 30th. I hope they will release more info and the autopsy report prior. Where are the good reporters who should be in Senath and asking questions? Who's his lawyer?

I have not heard a thing on the local news .

I have been waiting to bump into this 1 guy I know that might have some inside information.
The results from the crime lab should be released very soon,,,I would think?

Thanks to whomever posted the Child Molesters who Abduct document. It was very informative!!!

This case went so silent, so quickly. I really thought we'd at least hear Breeann's cause of death/autopsy results. I guess the DA is the type who likes to keep everything under wraps until trial.

Rest in peace, Breeann. We're still thinking of you, sweetie.

It must be horrific,IMO
Maybe LE trying to see if this scum is responsible for other crimes that escalated to the murder of this angel.????

Is there anybody out there with any news on Breeann? I will never understand---precious child, at the wrong place at the wrong time. We have not forgotten you Breeann and we are waiting to see that justice is done.

He must not be talking at all. Thinking LE might found something different from what they have been told. Justice for Breeann.

I signed up for vinelink notifications & rec'd one this morning. Not much but his court date tomorrow is at 9 am.

I am really hoping he does not claim insanity. But I think that is precisely what he will do.

Charges against Shawn Morgan amended, State could pursue death penalty

http://www.kait8.com/story/15358904...morgan-filed-state-could-persue-death-penalty

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Sokoloff said he has filed amended charges against 43-year-old Shaw Morgan, the man accused of killing 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez.

According to Sokoloff, an additional count of child kidnapping—a class A felony—is to be added to three existing accounts filed against Morgan.

Sokoloff also said he filed a notice of statutory aggravating circumstances, which will permit the State to seek a death sentence for the first-degree murder charge against Morgan. While this does not guarantee that the State will seek the death penalty, it is a procedural step to make the penalty an option.

There's the kidnapping we were looking for.

Outside the courthouse, the Rodriguez family and friends gathered. BreeAnn's father, Edgar Rodriguez, declined to comment but his wife, Claudia Ramos, offered a short comment, "We just want him to pay. That's all we want, is justice."

"I have filed an amended affidavit charging an additional count to the original three counts previously filed," Sokoloff said. "I charged a [class A] felony child kidnapping [charge]. The other thing I filed was [a notice] of statutory aggravating circumstances. That is a procedural step that I'm required to take if at some point in the future that I may seek a death penalty in the case [and] I must give notice under the Missouri statutes [for a] first degree murder case before a jury can impose a death sentence. They have to find the existence of statutory aggravating circumstances

"There are 14 of them. They don't have to find all of them. They have to find one of them. I have to identify what ones I'm claiming exist in order to give notice to the defense. The ones I have given notice of are [that] the murder was committed while the defendant engaged in the perpetration of a kidnapping and/or the murder was outrageously or wantonly vile, horrible or inhuman, involved torture, [or depravity of mind]."

Morgan hides his face from Rodriguez' family and friends as he is escorted back to the Sheriff's Department transport vehicle.

ETA: He has NOT retained an attorney.

"Morgan has not hired an attorney, and is set to appear in court again on September 13."

From article linked in BeanE's posts above, dated today. Thanks BeanE.

In a way, puzzling.
Q. Does he have some $?
Q. Does his access to $ to pay atty depend on his wife's action to assist (releasing funds, writing check, etc.)
Q. Is the preliminary hang up, persuading his wife to use $ for atty?
Did he or he-&-she pay for atty for his criminal proceeding a few yrs. ago?
Q. Is the prob. finding an atty to take the case?

If he does not have $, has he completed forms or affidavit to estab. elegibility for a pub-def. or a ct-appointed atty?

IIReadC'ly, his arrest was Aug. 13, more than two weeks ago.

So he has two more weeks to find an attorney and he'll be in court again on Sept 13th. I would have expected him to either have hired one or applied for a PD by now.

I really don't expect this one to go to trial, but we'll see.

I cant believe he has not hired an attorney ! Maybe he does not want his family to go through the agony and embarassment of a trial and will face the court ungunned. I would not cry over it, he has already admitted to it, time to just get it done and throw away the key, moo..............................
