New drone video shows Dallas County property where Cassidy Rainwater was kept in a cage

"OzarksFirst also learned Wednesday various court documents provide more details about the history of the property on Moon Valley Road. Court documents say James Phelps listed the property as his home address as early as 2011. Timothy Norton listed the property as his address in 1992 and 1993.

However, court documents say Norton lived in Wright City in 2020. A man claiming he owns the property the cabin sits on also listed his mailing address as being on Moon Valley in 1997."

At about 1:33 in the video at the above link, you can see a small beat-up looking shack or shed with windows, etc. Was someone living there? It's back in the trees a little way beyond the burned out building.

I really hope LE is looking into all the people who claim that address as their home. I'm surprised LE doesn't have anyone out there searching the property with dogs, etc. to see if there's sign of any more human remains.

ETA: The shack is on the left as you come down the driveway. It's beyond the spot with the old freezer and blue barrel. It also looks like there's a trash dump back there, too. Some parts of the trash look like they've been burned. I hope LE searched that dump.

Very interesting video...I especially like the idea that everything in that dump burned except the neatly-stacked firewood.

Wonder why someone like Bailey Strohl (reporter) doesn't put her reporting on a PUBLIC page ?!?

The link at the top of the post (#461) links to OzarksFirst.com, and it looks like Bailey co-wrote the article. I think she just also has a fan FB page where she posts her info, too. Sometimes, I really like reading the comments on FB posts, so I'm happy about reporters having personal FB pages. You learn a lot. ;)

Yes, I am too. Maybe they did bring in cadaver dogs in the week long search, it just wasn't shared with the public?

Thank you @swedeheart.

I'm sure LE searched that building Betty P pointed out. At first I thought it was a chicken coop or animal shed of some sort, but it looks to large for that? We have large windows in our coop for cross ventilation.

Yes, I thought the same thing - just a storage shed or something. But if you look closer, it has windows and

The roof is in poor shape as is most of the rest of it, so if it was used by people, its probably been a while. That said, the news reports indicate there's been very shady people living there since the 90's.

I have such a bad feeling about this place. How can one guy own it, but another person claims to own it, but doesn't, but builds the house on the property? Then all the criminals and registered sex offenders who use it as an address for 20 or 30 yrs?

If anyone has the time, its worth reading the main thread at Websleuth's 3 Missing Women sub. The threads are locked now, but you can still read comments. For a very long time, people talked of shady people and places in this area, between Springfield and Lebanon, north of I-44. Not saying that's where the 3 missing women are, but locals have always been aware of suspicious people and illegal activities in that area.

It could be several weeks before more information is released in the case of Cassidy Rainwater, the Missouri woman who was allegedly kidnapped in the Ozarks and held in a cage.

Dallas County Sheriff Scott Rice told The Star Wednesday afternoon that he was told that it could be 30 to 90 days before forensic tests come back.

“We’re waiting for lab results to pursue possible other charges,” said Rice, whose department is leading the investigation.

Forensic tests on what? I have a real bad feeling about this case.

This is where I am. It’s a struggle to separate rumour from MSM reporting at present. But, reviewing the article below, there has been no official reporting of the discovery of any remains, etc. though this could be the reason for tests (and the ‘why’ simply hasn’t been reported yet, supported by no upgrade on the official status of CR nor charges against the accused). Again, I’m supposing here; this isn’t presented as fact.

My knowledge of forensic testing is lay, but other possible reasons for testing may include the cause of the fire (ie, arson, somebody connected to the accused, accidental, etc.) - the same article below suggests tests on this are being carried out.

Similarly, they might be testing the ingredients in the explosive devices recovered, to see if the accused had any involvement in their creation, as this may mean additional charges, etc.

IMO, IMO, IMO. I'm afraid this is not only about the kidnapping of Cassidy anymore. There are very disturbed people on this world who want to buy this kind of pictures/footage, where women are suppressed, sexual assaulted and hurt (maybe even killed on camera, snuff movies). It's all out there and there is an unimaginable large market of buyers. There are big networks where this kind of stuff is shared...or networks where you have to "do and submit" something yourself, before you can become a member. If I have it right the pictures of Cassidy in a cage were on Phelps' phone.....he must have shared it with other's and one of them reported it, but why? Or did this person get a hold of Phelp's phone? I think somehow there was one of Phelps' "buddies" who wanted to protect himself or a group, by destroying any kind of (pornographic?) material or evidence in Cassidy's case and maybe others. This whole situation brings shivers to my spine.....

Looking for CR updates, so far this morning I have found THREE other (no obvious tie to CR) stories regarding some form of sexual/violence perversion involving the Springfield/Lebanon area. And I can't shake the idea that tiny Lebanon has THREE "lingerie" shops (as discussed here).

This may sound silly, but it reminds me of a clothing (yes, just normal clothing) shop, ran by an older man, in a city I once lived in, who, under the guise of seeing if something fits well, was touching people in an inappropriate way. I had this very "nice" experience once. Imagine this....in a lingerie shop. W...and some other words.

Yes, its disturbing. I keep emphasizing that Lebanon is not a big town.

This area is also the "buckle of the Bible Belt", so there's an emphasis on sweeping these problems under the rug.

I checked them all out. Online I mean. Run of the mill I guess, but looking at sites connected to them? Ummmmm a tad sketchy.

Three is alot for such a tiny place. We actually don't have a ton.

Sad, and real scary.

The last time I passed through there, several years ago, it was to stop for a visit to what used to be the walnut bowl factory (it's called something else now). In the checkout line, my cousin and I watched as the guy ahead of us in the checkout line bought about 10 or 15 "burner phones", paying in cash. The transaction took a while and we just looked at each other in amazement. Later, I told her some people buy those for illegal purposes, sometimes because they can't afford a monthly cell phone plan. It was weird. It gave me an unsettling feeling, as did seeing some people hanging around that part of town who looked appeared to be meth users.
