Sunday I asked a cop at the gun range who was there practicing if warning shots, or shots to disable someone are ever taken, and he said absolutely not. I then asked him about the whole MB thing, and he said once an officer decided to shoot, that they shoot until the person is stopped, whatever that takes.

Eta: very nice officer btw, even helped me attach my new scope on my AR.

I feel the same way. I had to shut off the comments after the funeral, they made me so angry. I no longer care if Ferguson blows up and burns down.

A sincere question--
What kind of message is this highly attended funeral sending to kids and teens?
Do so called high officials, dignitaries and celebrities go to all funerals of those who die after committing a crime?
Have the kids in this community been told WHAT MB was doing when he was shot?

I think they have. I think they've been told he was minding his own business, walking to his gramma's house, and for no reason a white cop nearly ran him over with his car and then put him in a headlock, and then either shot him in the back 6 times as he was running for his life or shot him 6 times at close range, execution-style. is what I think

There have been so many threats made in this case that it boggles my mind and makes me wonder if I truly live in America or actually live in some third world country.

What happened to Justice For All? What has happened to IUPG? What happened to wanting to know the TRUTH no matter what it is? What has happened that some are now allowed to make terroristic threats if an indictment is not handed down? All of these people that say such things to incite should be arrested, imo.

This case IMO, has brought out the worst in people. Even government officials are putting out threats. This is so unfair to the GJs on this case. It is nothing more than coercion and intimidation. This GJ is not sequestered. Don't these people care about truth? Surely they don't want an innocent man to be imprisoned if the evidence shows this shooting was justifiable?

I just cant believe anyone of any race would be that cold hearted and vindictive. Although I realize that is pretty much what they are all saying. Threatening if things don't turnout in their favor then Ferguson hasn't seen anything yet. I guess the entire town will be looted and burned to the ground. I would hate to be of any race and live there.

I did notice that even on the most populous night of protesting only around 1,000 came out. So if the population is 69% AA not all are of the same opinion as the ones protesting. If they were they would be right there along with all the other protestors. They are probably scared to death for their own safety. In fact I heard one AA lady at one of the PC voicing her concern about not feeling safe and said innocent people have been beaten and their homes broken into.

And these very same people would be in an uproar if whites were out protesting, looting, and burning things down wanting the same thing to happen if a AA cop had killed a white man. But then most whites never protest. They let justice take its course as it should. They may show up at trial to show support for the victim but whites usually don't do this when a cop shoots a white or at least I haven't seen it.

It is one hot mess in Ferguson.

I would think either would look the same

If you weighed 110 pounds, would you think, sitting in your front seat that you would be able to pull a 300 lb 6 4 individual into your car through a window? Would you comntemplate such an activity?

I know I not would attempt such, too much disparty in size and leverage IMO

On Judge Jeanine over the weekend (previously sourced) Baden was asked about this. He said it was unlikely. Maybe if MB was grabbed around the neck, which he also thought unlikely b/c of MBs size and the fact OW was confined in his car. Also, no marks on MBs neck.

It's pretty ridiculous when you think about it, no? I mean, honestly, what would OW have had to gain by pulling MB into the vehicle? I mean...first of all, where would he put him? I really don't think he could have ever expected MB to fit into the driver's seat with him, right? Honestly, where do people even come up with this stuff? They hear it...sounds good...go with it...and then refuse to back down off of it...as if saying something ludicrous enough times will somehow eventually make it sound believable. :gaah:

IMO, race is a non issue here because no matter what the color of one's skin is, if they attack a uniformed police officer, beat him in the face, and try to take his weapon, I would expect the attacker would be shot and killed. Whether the attacker was black or white, I believe the results would be the same.

I was watching one of the news channels this weekend and they were talking about the so called story about OW grabbing MB by the neck trying to pull him in the police car. Not one detective that was on the panel believed that happened.

You are at a disadvantage anyway when someone is standing and you are in a sitting position. MB was way too huge for OW to grab by the neck.

So I don't believe for one second he tried to pull MB into his car. It has already been said that OW was trying to get out of his car. I think MB slammed the door where he couldn't exit and started pummeling him with his fist and then tussled with him to get his gun. MB knew OW would be at a disadvantage in a sitting position. MB would have much more room to move around while standing beside OWs car than OW would with being confined in his vehicle.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me. How so many smell money in the wake of a tragedy. Attorneys to set up wrongful death lawsuits way before their time. Quickly set up "fund me" site to collect money and donations. Protect the funds in a "foundation" to protect it from taxation and employ family and attorneys as officers and directors for the future. And for sure multiple attorneys to protect the "legacy" of a young man that robbed a convenience store 15 minutes prior to his death, and assaulted a police officer.

Even a film director and entertainment mogul to fly in for the funeral. After all someone is smelling a movie and song coming on. Everyone dressed to the nines, respectful, joyful and truly celebrating life. Even if lies were to be told in that MB was "spreading the word of the Lord" on the very day he died. More importantly, I have learned (so far) that if the family asked for peace and no protests or demonstrations their wishes would be respected. And Lord only knows if that had happened two weeks ago how much could have been avoided.

But the protests and destruction has been the news. And as long as that has happened the money has been rolling in.

Yeah...I don't think they really want a revolution, certainly NOT in Missouri. MO has a VERY high rate of gun ownership and is majority white.

I am thinking that Chiefs Belmer and Dotson broke the news to the NAACP that there were fingerprints of MB's on the gun, facial injuries ,and 10 witnesses who saw him shove the cop into the car and punch him. I am thinking they are asking the NAACP to start getting their people ready for a NO BILL from the GJ.

Just a few days ago, another police officer was killed in Texas. IMO, it shows how dangerous their job is. Here is an excerpt from the article:

Officials said the shooter would be charged with capital murder of a police officer. A witness said the suspect is a neighbor and has a history of mental illness. The sheriff said Lopez had an outstanding warrant for graffiti, but couldn't confirm whether that was a factor in the fatal shooting.

The incident happened near East 9th Street and South 1st Avenue at around 11:40 a.m. Elmendorf, with a population of less than 600 people, sits near the Bexar-Wilson county line, just inside S.E. Loop 1604.

The Heroes Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization that manages the Facebook page 53 Hours, asked its followers to "shine a light for police Chief Michael Pimentel" every evening through August 30 in his memory. According to HMF, a police officer is killed every 53 hours.

I have stated from the start I don't know if OW is quilty of a crime. Some posters have cited statutes giving le authority to shoot @ fleeing felons. Heres what I am having trouble with. If OW did nothing wrong in shooting at MB as he fled, was there a way for MB to surrender in a way that it would not be ok for OW to shoot him? Any thoughts?

I think Dorian HAD TO say that OW was trying to pull MB into the car window. He had to say that because in reality MB was leaning into the window assaulting OW, and DJ had to think of something to say to cover that up. jmo
