Nope. That's not at all what the Brown family attorneys and the family spokesmen and the protestors have been saying and DOING. They march with both hands up in the air and say DONT SHOOT and they claim that is exactly what MB did right before he was 'executed.'

Look at the front covers of both Time and Newsweek. Huge images of a black man, with his arms in the air, surrounded by flames. Look at the t-shirts, arms up in the air, on the front.

Listen to the cousin and the uncle at the funeral service. The cousin put his own hands in the air, and mimiced what he said happened to MB. Hands straight up in the air.

But in the FIRST interview with witness Crenshaw, she said he never quite got his arms up in the air, never went up past his chest. Which would be consistent with how his body fell too.

in this interview she says he NEVER actually got his hands up before he was shot:

Ummm, I wouldn't be concerned with what protesters and marchers, or even the family, say. That is all for effect. The more prudent thing to do is see what the witnesses say. Maybe they say way above the head. I don't know. Not sure I've seen it explained before beyond just hands up, DJ's lawyer's description and the witness' hand gestures, though she wasn't specifically saying it was like this.

piaget crenshaw: aug 18 2014

go to around 2:10---

Cooper anderson: u say his arms were up…

''they were just slowly going up, probably did't get a chance to get all the way up there…[ showed her mimicking the hands stopping mid chest..]

No, in no way did he rush the officer, …he may have taken one centimeter of a step forward before he was gunned down…
========================================================================================

So according to her initial interview, MB turned, slowly began to raise his hands chest level, took one step towards the officer, who according to Brady was only 3 or so feet away from him..SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD WITNESS FOR OW

Ok, now I'm confused. She's a credible witness or not a credible witness? Like I said, can't watch that video, but that description you included sounds like what I recall hearing. Like I said, could just as easily be used to support DW as it could MB, if it wasn't a clear sign of surrender. JMHO.

An interesting thing I just discovered is the very first interview given by Piaget Crenshaw to local TV station KDSK has been scrubbed from their website.

I went to the media page to find the link but when I click on it I get a "404" message. A search of the KDSK website brings up zero results . Does anyone have another link to this first interview?

There IS some stuff about Dacia the Black Panther leader, and we see them together and Crenshaw is being coached by her in her first interview.

KMOV has a story on Dacia Polk about her encounter with police. This whole thing is really getting to be much.

Woman accused of biting officer claims police mistreated her

Dacia Polk was in the parking lot of Maplewood Commons with another man when police responded to a complaint that a man flourished a gun at a couple with a baby over a parking spot. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Polk in the car, and asked her to get out.

Washington post article on the concerns with FPD (not necessarily Wilson). According to them, 13% of their force have been involved in investigations of using excessive force. Again according to them, nationally, 1% of officers are cited or charged with misconduct, 1/2 of those being for excessive force. Not saying this has as much to do with the MB shooting, but I suspect it is stuff like this that the DOJ is looking at just as strongly as they are looking at the facts of this incident.

What I am saying is that Piaget told one story at the start, and it evolved into something else.

She CLEARLY tells Cooper on CNN, and even SHOWS HIM, with her own arms, that MB did NOT raise his arms up in surrender. And yet in later interviews, when asked if she saw him surrender with arms raised, she says YES.

Also, another discrepancy. In this interview on CNN:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImffBt6tyzY

She tells Mikayla, about seeing Mikes family crying and asking what happened. So Piaget said that she herself went and told them : "me and my boss we were sitting up on top of my balcony and we saw everything…"

But her boss tells a totally different version. Her boss in interviews said that she herself was down in her car, watching the events unfold immediately AFTER the shooting. And she texted Piaget to say she was there to pick her up. SO THEY WERE NEVER SITTING UP ON THE BALCONY WATCHING IT HAPPEN.

And now I see what happened to get this rolling. She went and told the family that she and her boss watched it ALL from the balcony. So from then on, there were lots and lots of media interviews, even though she only began rolling video of it after the crime scene tape was already in place.

I also love how everyone keeps describing the 'scuffle' as the officer trying to pull Big Mike INTO the car window. That makes no sense at all. It would look exactly the same though, if Big Mike was already leaning into the window himself, and the officer was trying to push him back away from him. And that fits the facts much better, imo. jmo

interesting admission in this interview. She says that she knew Michael and hung out with him several times in his place.

Didnt she say in other interviews that she didnt know him?

SOMEONE PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS BEFORE IT GOES POOF TOO.

I already did...:)

Canada has a different history than the USA. The USA has always had a violent history through revolutions, civil wars, the wild west and I could go on and on. Additionally, Canada didn't have the history of issues that has angered a subset of the population like the USA.

My dad is from Canada and I've been up there to visit family. I was shocked when I heard what my Canadian cousins had to say about Native Americans.

It was extremely racist and left me confused as to why they would talk like that. JMO.

I heard her say she knew him from the get go. She said she didn't realize who he was until someone told her and then she remembered hanging out with him and another guy (a mutual friend) one time. It sounds to me like she really only met him the one time and didn't make the connection until someone reminded her about it...like...you don't remember Big Mike? Remember when we were hanging out that day playing video games with so and so...? Then it clicked.

ETA-Oh...I didn't hear her say they hang out "several" times. Did she really say that?
