If he was adjudicated, that is not a "conviction". Another option is "diversion", and another is "informal proceeding".

"Involved" that doesn't seem to be a clear response? 2nd deg charges would come out at trial I think too.

Release it to shut people up. Transparancy works wonders. If you got nothing to hide, don't hide it.

Wouldn't have any problem with that either. Obviously, those on the MB side won't go with it and I suspect some on DW's side won't go with it either.

The press is interested in Brown's records because they might be the basis of a story. But if this case ever goes to trial, the court will make a decision based only on the circumstances at the time when shots were fired.

It seems to me the Grand Jury might be interested it this issue:

In the courtroom Wednesday, an official said Brown had never been convicted of an A, B or C felony as a juvenile. All other information about his juvenile record was not released.

That issue is being considered in another Clayton courtroom by a grand jury that is also scheduled to meet Wednesday, for its third session since Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch referred the Brown shooting to the secret panel.

I am not sure where the 'C' is coming from... they are the only one stating that. Everyone else is saying only A & B. jmo

Records matter: Story is either #DarrenWilson gunned down an innocent choir boy or, after an altercation w/ a gang member, killed him.

Who in their right mind is still saying MB was a choir boy? I think he's missing the point that, as many here have pointed out, it's all pretty meaningless unless it involved some sort of violent crime, in which case it likely would have been discoverable. The guy has a campaign and that's cool. He'll get more hits on his website. Life goes on.

If the claim were that MB was a suspect in a 2nd degree murder, then there wouldn't be any charges filed because at that point he would have only been a suspect.

Even the victim's family of the 2nd degree murder victim would not know this until charges are filed under the victim's rights in MO.

I don't think we will actually be able to find this out.

That's what makes it all kind of silly at this point.

BBM, at MB funeral a family member said: 'the day that he was killed, he was out spreading the word of Jesus Christ,"

I dunno either. Maybe more details will come out in the next days.

@TheJusticeDept is getting ready to launch a civil investigation into the #Ferguson police department @ShimonPro @PamelaBrownCNN

Now that I support. Wonder if it will make one bit of difference to the protestors. I would think it would make them feel more heard and like any existing problem with the department will be investigated and addressed.

Somehow I feel anything short of McCullough removed, ODW charged whether GJ feels he should be or not, trial and conviction is all that will satisfy some of the driving forces behind the continued unrest and protests.

ETR the odd multiquote that appeared from something I discussed yesterday, lol

[h=1]Missouri police organization blasts Nixon for Ferguson comments[/h]
"These comments clearly do not reflect what society wants and law enforcement expects, which is a complete and thorough investigation, regardless who the victim or defendant may be. Your use of the phrase 'vigorous prosecution,' suggests guilt before due process, which results in no justice for the families, law enforcement and society," the letter says.

Just love when politics take over a case like this. Looking at Nixon as much as I am this organization.

I don't necessarily think it's important but I think it would be helpful to know if MB had a past record. Just as the phrase "a gentle teddy bear" gives a picture of his personal history, so does a juvenile record. No more, no less.

And being able to weigh the reliability of his mother/parents' words.
