I think the multiple times given for when they left the party is what's confusing the situation. Add in two different statements in MSM about who was driving who just confuses it more.
IMHO, I think it was the later time of midnight and I believe JR was driving. It would be nice though if LE would have a presser and clarify, it might bring in more tips.

There are so many questions about it I don't know where to start....I hope the Police have a much clearer picture.

The first thing I would check is the phone records to see what time and place it was last used/pinged and compare to claimed last sightings. I assume her phone hasn't been recovered?

Question: Are the Police not doing/planning any press conferences about this case?

YES! I don't know how much research there is on perpetrators who go after younger victims, but I wonder, in maturity, they get stuck in the past and don't have a mirror in relationships that helps them age successfully. He could be 60 and still be after young girls. He is caught now, arrested, and hopefully some charges will stick.

From what I understand, many addicts become emotionally stunted to the age at which they first started abusing. For example, if an alcoholic really begins drinking heavily at 16, that individual will generally possess the emotional maturity of a struggling 16 year old even well into his/her 40s, etc.

As far as KY is concerned, this seems to line up with his attraction to late teens/early 20s women, juvenile responses to uncomfortable situations (reporter tossing questions while he's escorted to squad car -- most adults would just stay mum), lack of impulse control (not that all teens can't control themselves, but many without proper social/familial foundations show this behavior), and an inability to think or process beyond the current moment (YOLO syndrome).

This is, of course, mainly observational with a smidge of research on my part. As such, feel free to dismiss.

Great job! It's troubling he had so much time to destroy evidence. I wonder what time he had to go to work, where work was and if he was spotted in Edwards before that time. LE is being very closed lipped.

at Grandpa Y's home on September 8 which would have been the afternoon right BEFORE the party both JR and Yust attended together? (that would make sense). That doesn't raise too many alarms as we know that later that day she was still alive and willingly in the presence of Yust at the party in Grandview.
It's after midnight of the early a.m. of the 9th that things get murky.

I still want to know why Yust was arrested for torching her car. What evidence did LE have to arrest Yust for torching her car?
That's important. How do we know a ticked off boyfriend didn't do it?!

No, it aired on 8th Sept but the video was originally posted on the 2nd June. We don't know the exact date the reporter went to gpa's house to try and talk to KY, that was when the equinox was in the driveway. The reporter should know and it would nice if they could clarify.

I realize the location where the car was found was a bit remote, but looking at maps, it's not far from what looks to be a subdivision, an interstate, federal buildings, etc. And it was on a weekend, where I would assume there would be traffic running all hours of the night.

According to this Jessica and Kylr went to this Tattoo parlour days before she went missing as Kylr was hoping to get an apprenticeship there. Were they just good friends that had a mutual like of tattoos/piercings or something more?

That is a very good friend that goes with you to a job interview. Or am I reading too much into this?

Kahclamat was killed following an argument in a Benton County bar in 2014.

I'm really surprised no one reported the car burning. I've seen cars burn before and they make big fires and the tires blowing can be incredibly loud. I realize the location where the car was found was a bit remote, but looking at maps, it's not far from what looks to be a subdivision, an interstate, federal buildings, etc. And it was on a weekend, where I would assume there would be traffic running all hours of the night.

But he wasn't taken in for questioning. He was arrested for torching the vehicle. And police would not have seen the burns until they arrested him.

In the seven days since Runions vanished, information given to police eventually led to 28-year-old Kylr Yust’s arrest for burning the 21-year-old's vehicle, as well as raids at both the home where police found Yust, and his grandfather’s house.

Days before police arrested Yust, a Kansas City, Kansas tattoo parlor considered hiring him for a piercing apprenticeship. However, red flags caused some of the owners to rethink the decision.


“I didn’t resonate with this guy. I did not like his presence, I felt uncomfortable,” said Jeff Ollerich, a co-owner of Tried and True Tattoo.


Ollerich told 41 Action News he and other owners sat down and decided not to hire Yust. The next day, he was arrested in Benton County in connection to burning Runions’ car.


“I didn’t want to believe this was going on. I thought I was dreaming or something,” said Cordis Woods, another co-owner of Tried and True Tattoo.

I'm a little surprised it took so long to be reported too. I know the area. It's back in there and not well traveled since the IRS building shut down but people and kids still pass by and go there to park. I really hope they find her and nail his @&&.

I still need to add all of the statements by the grandfather, and figure out if both grandfathers made statements which could be contributing to the confusion. Also, his court hearing and not guilty plea.

I need to look at the maps (thanks Skibadoo!), but I am wondering if we know what areas police have searched? The only thing I could find was that they were near the vehicle.

I think maybe his phone could have pinged in this area? But he was staying nearby, so that might not be good enough. The burns are also pretty circumstantial.

Maybe he was the one who called in the tip? Or they could have found something at the scene that linked him, but they won't disclose.

I really hope that whatever evidence they have it is strong enough for a conviction.
