As Kara is laid to rest, the families of Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions hope for justice

Whenever K crosses Rhonda's mind you can see her swallowing down all the rage. I hope she gets her chance to face him.

Kylr Yust, 5 other inmates attempt to file lawsuit against Jackson County Detention Center

http://www.kshb.com/news/local-news...wsuit-against-jackson-county-detention-center

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed in part by Kylr Yust and five other inmates against the Jackson County Detention Center.

The lawsuit claimed that the detention center failed to provide the inmates with clean sheets for a period of at least six months and did not properly address the matter when inmates tried filing complaints.

Now, I don't like Kylr and think he is a psycho killer, but the above complaint is concerning when considering these men are awaiting trial and haven't been convicted of a crime. I would hate to see any issues with this facility allowing Kylr to hedge his trial.

Since the judge overseeing the lawsuit has dismissed all of the plaintiffs' complaints aside from the filer of the suit, I don't personally see this being an issue down the road in a trial for the burning of the vehicle or the murders.

I also honestly think that Kylr was just throwing his name in the hat to keep himself in the news. I think he loves the attention and the idea that people see this as a major headline case. And yes, maybe he's also trying to bait a judge or a jury down the road into feeling sorry for him. But the crime speaks for itself. So does Kylr's lack of forthcoming and emotional deficit that won't (or shouldn't) play well in a courtroom.

I think Kylr really thought he would never get caught and that the girls would never be found. That's why Jessica was with Kara. Now that he's between a rock and hard place, he seems to be trying to build something up - make people feel sorry for him while also keeping his name out there. First it was the letter to the radio station and now this, and who knows what other shenanigans he's been up to that haven't been publicized or that his lawyer has circumvented. He knows bigger charges than "knowingly burning" are coming at some point.

Kylr's attorney should also know this far into it that Kylr's mitigating factors are few and far between. It's possible that he was advised to do this.

a writ wont have anything to do w laundry issues in the facility.

when I worked in the jail, they conducted laundry exchange twice a week at which time they got new sheets. I wonder why they would not get sheets. I do know that some inmates "didn't want other sheets" especially if they were lucky enough to get a new set at some point. some inmates somehow got on laundry crew to ensure this or made friends w the laundry worker. but that is a privilege for only a few.

It is really surprising to me too, it sounds more like an internal conflict rather than a problem with the jail's management but there are some truly horrible jails out there I dunno. Either way I hope he itches like crazy and it keeps him up at night.

Jackson County Jail has continual problems. From what I understand, there are internal management problems and the jail has had issues recently keeping staff due to deteriorating conditions. There are also concerns for violence in the jail and for the health of the staff and inmates due to the filthy conditions.

I am so glad Kara and Jessica were found and given a proper memorial. Now the pursuit of justice for these 2 girls, taken way too soon, begins

I saw this tweet before I saw he was charged with murder. Kara I am sorry it took so long to find you and charge your murderer!

I pray he pays to the fullest!

Not sure if I already added this one or not, but this link contains the full court documents.

Per the documents, on page 7, a witness whose name is abbreviated as "J.C." contacted Belton Police on 9/10/2016 and informed them that he was with KY, and that KY had murdered JR and asked for help burning her vehicle. He said that KY was inadvertently burned on the hands and face. "J.C." then said that he took KY to his residence in Edwards to allow him time to heal from the burns.
