I had, well actually I still catch myself doing it when I'm fidigety, a number/spelling 'game'...it's an OCD thing, & it's unexplainable, lol. I just tried and gave up. Also, I had a neighbor who used to paint random words on the front of his white house in bright red paint. After a couple of days he would go over it with white paint, and then start the process over. There was so much paint on the front of his house that I thought it would one day, literally topple over from the extra weight. OCD can be a terrible thing. When I look at this code, certain words seem to jump out, but I doubt they mean much... too bad his family doesn't know more.

Ok folks If you are dedicated to this thread and solving these notes please read this post. I recieved this in an email from someone who seems to be on the right track. I want to make it clear that this is not my idea, but I feel like I should share it. This is long and will take a few minutes to read but I want to know what you all think, check it out
Do you want to know why this "puzzle" has not been solved by law enforcement or the FBI? Simple. Because it takes actually learning about African American rap culture/gang culture/african pride culture/and many things that most disregard or never even consider worth learning. Its really that simple. Go look at the FBI website or any local state website which might list gangs or crime threats in the correctional faciilties of major cities, and you will find a HUGE lack of knowledge concerning African American organizations and street talk/life. There is a serious gap between law enforcement and economically empoverished black neighborhoods, plus you have the fact that many residents of these "bad" neighborhoods are raised to never "snitch" or talk to law enforcement about "hood" life.
In order to understand this note, and stop thinking that its a super genius computer science cipher/algorithm...which most people want to believe and therefore continue to hit a brick wall and say its just an unsolvable mystery, instead you need to understand the man who wrote it. A black man living in one of the highest crime rate area's in America, areas also affected by years of racism and KKK influence, racial struggles, poverty, drugs, crime, etc...Ricky lived in the streets and knew this world well at the age of 41.
In order to "see" the McCormick notes for what they really are...you need some background info first about the man and the people this man would have affiliated himself with or at least have known well as part of his world/culture/music.
The (NOI) Nation of Islam is an African-American movement started in Detroit, Michigan in 1930 by Wallace D Fard Muhammad. It was lead by Elijah Muhammad from the 1930's-1975. The teachings included the belief that Elijah Muhammad was to be treated as a living God (Allah), but several members, specifically Clarence 13X (this is during the time of Malcolm X around the 60's-65)...(Clarence 13X means he was the 13th Clarence to join the NOI) separated from the NOI (after the assassination of Malcolm X, which C13X was initially implicated in being a part of but later exonerated). Clarence 13X started teaching his ideas around Harlem, New York, that all black men were gods, thus the name for his organization; the Nation of Gods and Earths (thus the expression "what up G?" which most people think means "what up gangsta?"), or the NGE (the Nation of African (or Black) Men and Women [Black Women being Earths]). [*Note: Just wanted to mention that Clarence 13X was institutionalized as a paranoid schizophrenic after being accused of being a part of the plot to assassinate Malcolm X]. C13X's teachings spread and his membership grew rapidly. A part of his teaching was focused on the principle that - 85% of the world is blind, deaf and dumb, 10% has knowledge but keeps it a secret to manipulate the masses, and only 5% have the knowledge and freely share it with other black men and women [ the knowledge is called the 'Supreme Wisdom']....thus the name "Five Percenters" was developed. These "5%'rs" spread their ideologies quickly, mostly through the prison system and rap music, which explains the rapid spread from the east coast to other major cities to the west, mainly Chicago and St. Louis, initiating members with the idea that all black men were gods and should learn the supreme wisdom (this includes 'the supreme mathematics' and the 'supreme alphabet').
The symbols and numbers used for these groups (both the NGE and the 5%rs) are taken from the writings of the NOI, which in turn borrow concepts from the Koran, Egyptian mysticism, and Hebrew/Jewish mysticism (the Kabalah); this was common practice with a lot of groups starting up at the time period in the 20's/30's; concepts found within groups such as the Freemasons/Masonic traditions (including the Moorish Science Temple of America which started in 1928 which used 'secret' symbols/numbers similar to freemasonry/mysticism/astrology,etc.). *When I say secret, I am merely implying that you would not know what it means unless you learned about the organization, which of course is the very problem here with the McCormick notes.
With all this in mind, now realize that in order to become a member of the NGE/FivePercenters, black men were expected to learn the "Problem Book" verbatim; word for word, exactly and without mistake, every single word. This was the only way to continue initiation and learn more (this including paying dues and fees).
So let's get to the point. Let's first establish Ricky McCormick's profile: African-American male, age 41, high school dropout, "street smart" (meaning life in the streets which would indicate being familiar with "street life"; the homeless, street gangs, drugs and prostitution, illegal activities) unemployed, history of drug/alcohol abuse, history of mental illness (ADHD, bi-polar, obsessive, impulsive, manic depressive, addiction problems and possibly paranoid schizophrenic), incarcerated for aggrevated sexual assault on a minor under 14, kicked out of multiple housing developments/apartments, domestic violence with both his girlfriend Sandra and sister-in-law Vickie (who later married brother Charles, but now they divorced, I think in 2009 or around that time), writing bad checks, and having a very volatile, unstable life pattern. This is the man we are talking about. A man without direction. A man without focus.
*Note: Most likely the "codes" referred to in news articles, which state that his family was aware of his "code writing" but never could read them, were in fact pnemonics, which are used by many children & adults with ADHD/ADD who tend to forget things, or are not able to focus well enough to memorize specific details, and therefore write themselves notes in their own pnemonic style without having to share to the world every single thought or failure to remember things. This is why Ricky McCormick's notes are perceived "unsolvable", HOWEVER...it is possible to solve a personalized pnemonic by establishing a subject matter. If for instance, you find my pnemonic grocery list, and you can establish a random set of words such as milk, juice, bread, etc...then you can start decoding the message based on that observation and prove your theory by showing that every word is another produce usually purchased at a grocery store. The same happens with Ricky McCormick's notes....the letters/numbers CAN mean anything, yes...because it contains pnemonic abbreviations for so many words, it could be a fairy tale story or a poem or rap lyric. The key is to find a subject matter that BEST fits the rythm of the order of the words. Once you find anything that matches this order, and can then prove it by going over both pages and following the rythm of the order of words to the source material, then you have your "decoding" of the pnemonic. In this case, Ricky McCormick's words/letters and numbers, follow exactly to the "t" (so to speak), the order of the teachings found in Lesson C1 of the Book of Problems for the Nation of Islam. Word for word. Number for number. This cannot be a coincidence and it is obviously not an attempt to fit a theory into a puzzle, but the opposite; the theory was developed by the puzzle itself and the information contained, in the order in which it was contained, matching a source material, in this case this NOI teachings book. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Ricky may not have even written these notes originally himself, but copied them from someone else, into his own style, which is why you have a combination of both Ricky's pnemonics, plus the use of NOI influenced "supreme" writing style, where words and phrases are joined together by numbers (see videos and sources to understand). Example: ALSM also equals 1-12-19-13, which then using the ideas of supreme math, you would add 1+1+2+1+9+1+3 = 18, then 1+8=9, and 9=Born (in the supreme alphabet); so the ALSM can be, not only "And Islam iS Math", but also "I-Lord-Self-Master", or the phrase "I was Born in Islam". Initially, one would have to conclude that this random use of pseudo-science could create an unlimited amount of results, and therefore would be completely undecipherable, but thankfully, the Ricky McCormick notes follow exactly the rythm of the Lessons Problem No.13 and C1 (II. Actual Facts).

Ricky's personality indicates a person easily susceptible to joining groups/gangs/religious organizations/etc. in order to feel better about himself, or having a sense of accomplishment and order in his life; a personality led by past failures, regrets, and an inferiority complex (obsessive thinking) which would push a person like this to find a great deal of relief in finally being accepted into something greater than himself, such as a gang or cult or even any legitimate organization he might find attractive.
Ricky's time in prison would have exposed him to life long members of the prison system, which is well documented as having a racial divide (whites/blacks/latinos) and therefore Ricky would have been exposed to African American gangs, but also possibly African American ideologies of peace and brotherhood, or in the case of the NGE, the idea that he was himself a god and a part of a nation of "gods" and "earths". We cannot know this for sure, but it would explain his notes. Another important factor to keep in mind is that Five Pecenter ideologies, words, phrases, numbers, and symbols are HUGE in the rap music community, and therefore even a rap music lover would need to learn and understand NGE "talk" in order to understand popular rap music lyrics, including rap groups like the Wu-Tang Clan and even Jay-Z; example: "I Self Lord Am Master", which you hear a lot in 90's rap, was a quote from Malcolm X, and a perfect example of the use of the supreme alphabet; all first letters spell: I-S-L-A-M and each letter amounts to numbers which correspond with other words, etc. (see **source link for explanation).
I am positive that there is a very high probability that at some point or another Ricky McCormick became familiar with the NGE or FivePercenters (having a large membership in both St Louis and Chicago) and the headquarters of the NOI (and the NGE has a main center here as well) are located in Chicago.
Ricky McCormick was found dead exactly halfway between Chicago and his home (or even his brother Charle's house) on June 30 1999.
The NGE (and again I'm including the NOI and FivePercenters because all 3 use the same teachings & books) holds an annual "show and prove" every June, and it may not be a mere coincidence that it was June 30 1999 when Ricky's body was found.

Ricky was probably coming back from a show and prove, he may have either been hitchhiking and was struck by a vehicle and left for dead (that area has a lot of racism and I have found news articles of African American men, women and children being intentionally run over or "hit and run" by KKK/white supremecists/racist individuals) *note: oddly enough there is a case of a man on December 1999 of doing this exact same thing in Missouri to a little black girl and the local police even called the FBI to help catch the guy (Google it), and even more strange, this same guy was later driving a van for the u.s. extradition service company with black prisoners, and he "fell asleep at the wheel" and 2 prisoners died...just weird coincidences i found.
Another theory is that coming back from the show and prove, and possibly being involved in illegal activity, Ricky may have been robbed for his travel money or drugs, or maybe he was a part of a crime and was killed (that area of West Alton has a lot of murders and even a known motorcycle gang is known to dump bodies around those woods)...anyway, I am inclined to believe Ricky was killed by a hit and run driver and left to die.
Now see for yourself how members and people who study these things talk and write down information (I mean this with all due respect and actually find it all very fascinating. My purpose is simply to demonstrate that any person uninformed of this culture/sub-culture, should educate and familiarize themselves in order to look at the Ricky McCormick in a new light, here is a link where this person actually shows a whole LOT of notes displaying supreme math/alphabets and you will see it start to make sense, or at least perhaps give you a different perspective on how someone might write down notes/"codes" using supreme math/letters

Finally, and I did not have time to photoshop this part, but the "NOTES" page then follows from the Book of Problems "Actual Facts", which are 'facts' about the universe members would learn, and you will see words such as "planet" "earth" "distance" "circumference" "area" etc....that follow the rythm of the NOTES paper and also the numbers will coincide with the numbers of the distances, etc....for example: "the diameter of the sun...853..." you can see at the bottom page "d-w-m 1 4 MiL"...if you look for letters next to 8...5...3...above (starting with the 99.84 number) diagonally to the left you see ...8...5...3....Here is a copy/past of the Actual Facts from the Book of Problems (by the way, it should all start coming together for you now, and see how on the top of NOTES page it starts with the word "planet"? "ALPNTE' ....clearly it starts these facts, "Planet Earth has a total area-diameter-circumference-weight of:" and you start to get the numbers below...then you'll find lines for Pacific-Atlantic-Indian Oceans, and also Hills and Mountains, even Mt Everest....its all there...look at the next to last 2 lines, "n rose nrse" is the beginning of "Sound ravels at the rate of 1120 feet per second". Do you see it now? Once you know the subject matter, it all follows the same rythm of information.

Conclusion: It is my firm belief that the FBI was very much aware of the words and random numbers, but were simply looking for a) specific source materials, or b) people from the area's of Missouri and Chicago with specific knowledge of the source material, who would have been in those areas back in 1999. The FBI knows more than they will ever admit, but you always have to ask yourself "why?", and to me, this is part of their investigation, to find people who may have been there and involved in the same culture. Why now? 12 years later? Look up his brother Charles in the Missouri court system public records online. Charles was a plaintiff in most lawsuits and civil cases, with MULTIPLE attorneys and co-counsels (sometimes up to FIVE!). Who has that many lawyers and so many businesses and contracts? Besides that, both Charles and Vickie, before their divorce, they were BOTH investigated and brought to court by the Department of Revenue (or internal revenue service), and with the FBI involved in the "murder" of Charles' brother? To me this is a clear case of the FBI pressing on Charles or people affiliated with Charles, and other matters which you and I, the general public, will probably never get to really know about; private investigations, etc.
Either that or the Zodiac killer is back or someone who kills people on the 28th of June every year, since the lunar calendar for June 1999 is 7-13-20-28, which is the cycles of the moon; crescent, dark, opposite crescent, and full moon, plus these numbers in the lunar calendar make a trapezoid, and the "P1" circled can also be made into the Mercury symbol, but that's a whole other theory, so never mind I said anything.

A black man living in one of the highest crime rate area's in America, areas also affected by years of racism and KKK influence, racial struggles, poverty, drugs, crime, etc...Ricky lived in the streets and knew this world well at the age of 41.
In order to "see" the McCormick notes for what they really are...you need some background info first about the man and the people this man would have affiliated himself with or at least have known well as part of his world/culture/music.
The (NOI) Nation of Islam is an African-American movement started in Detroit, Michigan in 1930 by Wallace D Fard Muhammad. It was lead by Elijah Muhammad from the 1930's-1975. The teachings included the belief that Elijah Muhammad was to be treated as a living God (Allah), but several members, specifically Clarence 13X (this is during the time of Malcolm X around the 60's-65)...(Clarence 13X means he was the 13th Clarence to join the NOI) separated from the NOI (after the assassination of Malcolm X, which C13X was initially implicated in being a part of but later exonerated). Clarence 13X started teaching his ideas around Harlem, New York, that all black men were gods, thus the name for his organization; the Nation of Gods and Earths (thus the expression "what up G?" which most people think means "what up gangsta?"), or the NGE (the Nation of African (or Black) Men and Women [Black Women being Earths]). [*Note: Just wanted to mention that Clarence 13X was institutionalized as a paranoid schizophrenic after being accused of being a part of the plot to assassinate Malcolm X]. C13X's teachings spread and his membership grew rapidly. A part of his teaching was focused on the principle that - 85% of the world is blind, deaf and dumb, 10% has knowledge but keeps it a secret to manipulate the masses, and only 5% have the knowledge and freely share it with other black men and women [ the knowledge is called the 'Supreme Wisdom']....thus the name "Five Percenters" was developed. These "5%'rs" spread their ideologies quickly, mostly through the prison system and rap music, which explains the rapid spread from the east coast to other major cities to the west, mainly Chicago and St. Louis, initiating members with the idea that all black men were gods and should learn the supreme wisdom (this includes 'the supreme mathematics' and the 'supreme alphabet').
The symbols and numbers used for these groups (both the NGE and the 5%rs) are taken from the writings of the NOI, which in turn borrow concepts from the Koran, Egyptian mysticism, and Hebrew/Jewish mysticism (the Kabalah); this was common practice with a lot of groups starting up at the time period in the 20's/30's; concepts found within groups such as the Freemasons/Masonic traditions (including the Moorish Science Temple of America which started in 1928 which used 'secret' symbols/numbers similar to freemasonry/mysticism/astrology,etc.). *When I say secret, I am merely implying that you would not know what it means unless you learned about the organization, which of course is the very problem here with the McCormick notes.
With all this in mind, now realize that in order to become a member of the NGE/FivePercenters, black men were expected to learn the "Problem Book" verbatim; word for word, exactly and without mistake, every single word. This was the only way to continue initiation and learn more (this including paying dues and fees).
So let's get to the point. Let's first establish Ricky McCormick's profile: African-American male, age 41, high school dropout, "street smart" (meaning life in the streets which would indicate being familiar with "street life"; the homeless, street gangs, drugs and prostitution, illegal activities) unemployed, history of drug/alcohol abuse, history of mental illness (ADHD, bi-polar, obsessive, impulsive, manic depressive, addiction problems and possibly paranoid schizophrenic), incarcerated for aggrevated sexual assault on a minor under 14, kicked out of multiple housing developments/apartments, domestic violence with both his girlfriend Sandra and sister-in-law Vickie (who later married brother Charles, but now they divorced, I think in 2009 or around that time), writing bad checks, and having a very volatile, unstable life pattern. This is the man we are talking about. A man without direction. A man without focus.
*Note: Most likely the "codes" referred to in news articles, which state that his family was aware of his "code writing" but never could read them, were in fact pnemonics, which are used by many children & adults with ADHD/ADD who tend to forget things, or are not able to focus well enough to memorize specific details, and therefore write themselves notes in their own pnemonic style without having to share to the world every single thought or failure to remember things. This is why Ricky McCormick's notes are perceived "unsolvable", HOWEVER...it is possible to solve a personalized pnemonic by establishing a subject matter. If for instance, you find my pnemonic grocery list, and you can establish a random set of words such as milk, juice, bread, etc...then you can start decoding the message based on that observation and prove your theory by showing that every word is another produce usually purchased at a grocery store. The same happens with Ricky McCormick's notes....the letters/numbers CAN mean anything, yes...because it contains pnemonic abbreviations for so many words, it could be a fairy tale story or a poem or rap lyric. The key is to find a subject matter that BEST fits the rythm of the order of the words. Once you find anything that matches this order, and can then prove it by going over both pages and following the rythm of the order of words to the source material, then you have your "decoding" of the pnemonic. In this case, Ricky McCormick's words/letters and numbers, follow exactly to the "t" (so to speak), the order of the teachings found in Lesson C1 of the Book of Problems for the Nation of Islam. Word for word. Number for number. This cannot be a coincidence and it is obviously not an attempt to fit a theory into a puzzle, but the opposite; the theory was developed by the puzzle itself and the information contained, in the order in which it was contained, matching a source material, in this case this NOI teachings book. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Ricky may not have even written these notes originally himself, but copied them from someone else, into his own style, which is why you have a combination of both Ricky's pnemonics, plus the use of NOI influenced "supreme" writing style, where words and phrases are joined together by numbers (see videos and sources to understand). Example: ALSM also equals 1-12-19-13, which then using the ideas of supreme math, you would add 1+1+2+1+9+1+3 = 18, then 1+8=9, and 9=Born (in the supreme alphabet); so the ALSM can be, not only "And Islam iS Math", but also "I-Lord-Self-Master", or the phrase "I was Born in Islam". Initially, one would have to conclude that this random use of pseudo-science could create an unlimited amount of results, and therefore would be completely undecipherable, but thankfully, the Ricky McCormick notes follow exactly the rythm of the Lessons Problem No.13 and C1 (II. Actual Facts).

Ricky's personality indicates a person easily susceptible to joining groups/gangs/religious organizations/etc. in order to feel better about himself, or having a sense of accomplishment and order in his life; a personality led by past failures, regrets, and an inferiority complex (obsessive thinking) which would push a person like this to find a great deal of relief in finally being accepted into something greater than himself, such as a gang or cult or even any legitimate organization he might find attractive.
Ricky's time in prison would have exposed him to life long members of the prison system, which is well documented as having a racial divide (whites/blacks/latinos) and therefore Ricky would have been exposed to African American gangs, but also possibly African American ideologies of peace and brotherhood, or in the case of the NGE, the idea that he was himself a god and a part of a nation of "gods" and "earths". We cannot know this for sure, but it would explain his notes. Another important factor to keep in mind is that Five Pecenter ideologies, words, phrases, numbers, and symbols are HUGE in the rap music community, and therefore even a rap music lover would need to learn and understand NGE "talk" in order to understand popular rap music lyrics, including rap groups like the Wu-Tang Clan and even Jay-Z; example: "I Self Lord Am Master", which you hear a lot in 90's rap, was a quote from Malcolm X, and a perfect example of the use of the supreme alphabet; all first letters spell: I-S-L-A-M and each letter amounts to numbers which correspond with other words, etc. (see **source link for explanation).
I am positive that there is a very high probability that at some point or another Ricky McCormick became familiar with the NGE or FivePercenters (having a large membership in both St Louis and Chicago) and the headquarters of the NOI (and the NGE has a main center here as well) are located in Chicago.
Ricky McCormick was found dead exactly halfway between Chicago and his home (or even his brother Charle's house) on June 30 1999.
The NGE (and again I'm including the NOI and FivePercenters because all 3 use the same teachings & books) holds an annual "show and prove" every June, and it may not be a mere coincidence that it was June 30 1999 when Ricky's body was found.

Ricky was probably coming back from a show and prove, he may have either been hitchhiking and was struck by a vehicle and left for dead (that area has a lot of racism and I have found news articles of African American men, women and children being intentionally run over or "hit and run" by KKK/white supremecists/racist individuals) *note: oddly enough there is a case of a man on December 1999 of doing this exact same thing in Missouri to a little black girl and the local police even called the FBI to help catch the guy (Google it), and even more strange, this same guy was later driving a van for the u.s. extradition service company with black prisoners, and he "fell asleep at the wheel" and 2 prisoners died...just weird coincidences i found.
Another theory is that coming back from the show and prove, and possibly being involved in illegal activity, Ricky may have been robbed for his travel money or drugs, or maybe he was a part of a crime and was killed (that area of West Alton has a lot of murders and even a known motorcycle gang is known to dump bodies around those woods)...anyway, I am inclined to believe Ricky was killed by a hit and run driver and left to die.
Now see for yourself how members and people who study these things talk and write down information (I mean this with all due respect and actually find it all very fascinating. My purpose is simply to demonstrate that any person uninformed of this culture/sub-culture, should educate and familiarize themselves in order to look at the Ricky McCormick in a new light, here is a link where this person actually shows a whole LOT of notes displaying supreme math/alphabets and you will see it start to make sense, or at least perhaps give you a different perspective on how someone might write down notes/"codes" using supreme math/letters

Finally, and I did not have time to photoshop this part, but the "NOTES" page then follows from the Book of Problems "Actual Facts", which are 'facts' about the universe members would learn, and you will see words such as "planet" "earth" "distance" "circumference" "area" etc....that follow the rythm of the NOTES paper and also the numbers will coincide with the numbers of the distances, etc....for example: "the diameter of the sun...853..." you can see at the bottom page "d-w-m 1 4 MiL"...if you look for letters next to 8...5...3...above (starting with the 99.84 number) diagonally to the left you see ...8...5...3....Here is a copy/past of the Actual Facts from the Book of Problems (by the way, it should all start coming together for you now, and see how on the top of NOTES page it starts with the word "planet"? "ALPNTE' ....clearly it starts these facts, "Planet Earth has a total area-diameter-circumference-weight of:" and you start to get the numbers below...then you'll find lines for Pacific-Atlantic-Indian Oceans, and also Hills and Mountains, even Mt Everest....its all there...look at the next to last 2 lines, "n rose nrse" is the beginning of "Sound ravels at the rate of 1120 feet per second". Do you see it now? Once you know the subject matter, it all follows the same rythm of information.

Conclusion: It is my firm belief that the FBI was very much aware of the words and random numbers, but were simply looking for a) specific source materials, or b) people from the area's of Missouri and Chicago with specific knowledge of the source material, who would have been in those areas back in 1999. The FBI knows more than they will ever admit, but you always have to ask yourself "why?", and to me, this is part of their investigation, to find people who may have been there and involved in the same culture. Why now? 12 years later? Look up his brother Charles in the Missouri court system public records online. Charles was a plaintiff in most lawsuits and civil cases, with MULTIPLE attorneys and co-counsels (sometimes up to FIVE!). Who has that many lawyers and so many businesses and contracts? Besides that, both Charles and Vickie, before their divorce, they were BOTH investigated and brought to court by the Department of Revenue (or internal revenue service), and with the FBI involved in the "murder" of Charles' brother? To me this is a clear case of the FBI pressing on Charles or people affiliated with Charles, and other matters which you and I, the general public, will probably never get to really know about; private investigations, etc.
Either that or the Zodiac killer is back or someone who kills people on the 28th of June every year, since the lunar calendar for June 1999 is 7-13-20-28, which is the cycles of the moon; crescent, dark, opposite crescent, and full moon, plus these numbers in the lunar calendar make a trapezoid, and the "P1" circled can also be made into the Mercury symbol, but that's a whole other theory, so never mind I said anything.

Thank you so much for posting this, Sammy. It might be just the key I've been searching for. The frequency of the number 44 has been driving me crazy. Looking at the video, a comment at the bottom of the N page jumped out at me. It begins, "A cipher can be what you make it now..." followed by the number 44. I've also noted the number 14 seems to figure into the scheme. I posted about it awhile back. Thought it might refer to his birth date at the time.

When I zoomed in very closely I noticed the M is set apart from the the first three letters. Changing C to L and letting the M stand alone, I got this result:

Here are all lines from P1 with their numeric values, as calculated using the method I've described previously. This time I've inserted three 0's. The double P's in the fourth line equal 0. They are too close together to interpret them as separate. The 0's are meant to be part of the cipher. In the line that begins "WLD RCB", he's inserted what looks like a small "o" followed by a 6. I've included it as "06"
The result is 196 numbers which I placed in a grid of 14 lines by 14 columns. Look how beautifully those 0's line up.
More work to do, but for now, I'm off to Jazz Fest.

Is it impossible to look at it from a cryptogram type view? i.e. NSE is AND and every E in the puzzle is actually a D?

I don't think so. It's all about numbers. I've been convinced of that for about four weeks now. If I had the slightest doubt, it was washed away when I laid eyes on the 3, 0, 4 grouping that repeats three times. And by the way, I've used a very simple, straight forward methodology that can be applied easily by anyone. I didn't cheat or change the method to achieve a desired result because I didn't have any expectations of what the result would be. While I can't be certain RM used the same method, the results are a strong indication that I'm on the right track.
If SammySheep hadn't shared the post downthread, I'd probably still be in the dark about the relationship of the numbers to the Nation of Islam. After reading at the links posted, plus a couple I found on my own, I'd like to suggest the following interpretation of the 304 combination according to the Supreme Mathematics.
3 = Understanding
0 = Cipher
4 = Culture/Freedom
7 = Allah
3)Understanding-
is that which shows and proves the completion of Knowledge and Wisdom(Man, Woman, Child). Understanding is a clear mental comprehension. It is the Original child which is the star. It's really very simple and beautiful, but I think it's only the tip of the iceberg. While I'm a neophyte in this particular discipline, I'm no stranger to metaphysical cosmology and the concepts of the divine significance of numbers, and their use to construct a patterned order in the universe which reveals truth and understanding, e.g., Hebrew gematria. What I'm seeing in RM's numbers suggests Pythagorean ideas and symbols. I'm not sure how strongly geometry plays a part in the Nation of Islam teachings, but it's an essential component of Free Masonry. So I wonder if RM had an association with a Masonic Lodge at some point. Influences from different disciplines combined with an inherent aptitude for numbers might've led RM to devise a code incorporating different concepts.

I believe it is a simple cryptogram. That is why you are seeing repeats of letters, like E S N T. E and S seem to be the most common ones so I believe they would stand for one of the most common alphabetical letters, S T L E N R, probably T E or S. SE must be a very common word like IT,IS, AN,OR. Thats what I think.
edit-also the numbers appear to be street numbers and names (adresses) on the one page and years on the other. One thing that stands out is I can actually make words out of some of it, making my first idea null. for example 99.845 2une plse ncrse , looks like June please increase. Also, KLSE-LRSTE-TR looks like release lester or close lester. Maybe Im wrong on all acounts but these are my thoughts.

I saw another new person posted earlier asking if anyone had tried using it like a word search...or word trace. I am clueless, but thought maybe I would bring it up again because I thought the same thing when I first saw it. Like, start at one letter and try to follow in any direction(s) trying to make a word(s) or complete sentence(s)? I honestly don't know about this stuff, just lurking.

I dont think he is lo IQ, mentally ill, etc. I also dont think he's a genius. This is some code he picked up somewhere as a child or a form of shorthand. Someone else from his childhood (friend) probably knows this stuff if they passed notes in school or if he wrote them letters.
The capitalization gets me too. This means something just like in the anthrax letters.
BTW, there is no reward according to the fbi's website, just recognition. Good luck with that, I sent them info along long time ago about the anthrax letters, including that the zipcode for the town the letters where from has a school with a simular name. So they raided the school 2 days after my fax to a specific contact and said that "they" came up with this info to the press. SO good luck with any recognition. I have my proof I sent it before but dont care. what ever

a new year fortune cookie I received at the end of 2010 saying: "A stranger will become important to you" - I never thought it would be Ricky McCormick.
This is my first post on websleuths, so I want to introduce myself first.
I am 40 years old, live in Europe and since childhood I love to solve riddles (sudoku, crosswords) I have no degree, but like sciences such as physics and astrophysics. Years ago, I was hooked by adventure games named "myst", "riven" and others, where you have to combine and use your brain to find hidden secrets. I guess this explains my unbreakable interest in these two notes.
I am not native english speaking, so please forgive me if I misuse your language by accident
I admire the dedication and quality of all your brainwork here since day one. There is no other board I know, that is more analytic and yet so open-minded to so many different ideas and points of view as you are - you are all doing such great work! You helped me so much with what you worked out during the past weeks, so I want to share this with you and dedicate it to the McCormicks.
A few weeks ago, after a long period of reconsideration and hesitation, I finally sent my theory to the FBI - it's unanswered until today.
The theory about the code is ridiculously simple (that's why I was hesitating) and I guess it works with almost every language, using letters. To write with this code it does not require a degree in rocket science nor authism and I have no doubt, it could have been invented by a smart kid. With a little practice you all can use it in real time.
So here are the rules for what I call THE MAGIC INK code.:woohoo:
for a better understanding, I take the word "HELLO" as an example.
Rule 1
Spaces between letters are the main part of this code. Just imagine, you are using a pen with an ink that only writes every second letter.
writing: using this rule, HELLO is written as "H L O" or as " E L "
Rule 2
"E"s we use as an "End"-sign of a word - indicating that the last written, visible letter is the last of the word so "E" can be deleted most of the time. Some words we write may end with an "E" - so, sometimes an "E" remains an "E".
writing: using this rule, HELLO is written as H L O E
reading: as "O" is the last Letter of the word and "E" as "End-Point" can be deleted
Rule 3
"SE"s are also a signal for "End" but with the difference that "SE" indicates the last visible letter is the "S"econd last of a word. Sometimes, like in the rule for "E"s the "S" can remain, but mostly it can be deleted while reading.
writing: using this rule, HELLO is written as E L S E
reading: as "L" is the second last letter of the word
in this case neither "S" nor "E" will be used, so we can delete them both
while reading.
Rule 4
"-" means, there is NO invisible letter in this place. It also closes the space between two letters and combines the letter in front and after "-"
writing: with this rule added, HELLO is written as H L-L S E
reading: as there is no letter between "L"s"E" & "S" can be deleted in this case
also, a combination of "-SE" says that "S" has to be replaced by a letter - in this case it is very easy as "a" is the only word in english that contains only one letter - in slang there are some more as "u" for you or "o'" as short for "of"... but I want to keep it as simple as possible so let's say it just means "a".
Rule 5
I am not that sure about this last rule, but want to post it anyway. As we write most letters as capital, we could also use lower case letters for indication of start or end points of words in some way.
I know these rules may sound silly, but take a look at the following I coded, by using these rules:

To give you some hints - it's in english, it's the title of a song for kids and it starts with an invisible letter before "L". Maybe I wrote a few words into one segment, as it would be too obvious to finish each word with "E" or "SE".
Try to crack this by math, statistics or shifts in the alphabet - I would not be surprised if I will be retired before it's been cracked this way :crazy:
Applying these rules to the notes from Ricky McCormick you will find a very big amount of words as there are many possibilities. Some make more sense, others less. The hardest part will be, to find out what words match best to find out what Ricky McCormick wrote. At this point it will be helpful to know as much as possible about the author.
I have no complete transcription of these two notes yet; it takes so much time and I have to use online translations like a bot. I am sure you native speakers will see much more, much faster than I ever could.
So now it's up to all of you brainiacs out there. Do not hesitate to prove my theory wrong and double-check every rule.
