I was just trying to clarify that Kansas City itself is technically separate, but natives refer to the entire metro as KC, generally speaking. But I'm not trying to get off topic either. This might be useful to people who don't know this info.

Agreed. And my sister lives closer to Blue Springs and I still say she lives up in KC.

You pay after you leave at most airports since they have no way of knowing how long you'll actually be parked there until you leave. It can be cheaper to park in long term or short term than hourly if your car will be there for a while, but anyone can say they'll be parked for fewer days than they're actually there - hence the pay on departure practice. Also, I'm pretty sure that when a possible missing car is involved LE has airport security check their lots for the vehicle.

Toni was a lifeguard in Wichita for several years and was a swim coach to all 4 of my kiddos. She was a great lifeguard and the group of people she guarded with are amazing kids. She was so sweet and very polite. I think when she went to college, she did it because that's what kids are supposed to do. She wanted to live her life, and obviously got in with the club girls. That talk about how much money they make in a short period of time, I believe, is why she got in to all that. I can see how it can spiral out of control, and when you primarily hang out with that group, it all seems NORMAL and o.k. She is a 20 year old trying to find her way. She had a good childhood. Every 20 year old wants to break free from parents- her relationship with her parents was not unusual. The drug issue isn't even abnormal - when I was that age Everyone I knew was smoking pot- some even doing mushrooms. And these were college kids. College Athletes. I think the allure of money, and a free lifestyle led to her choices. I hope to God she is alive. I've laid out what I think happened in prior posts putting myself in her shoes. I do not have a media source, but I was told by family friend that a detective called the father to inform him of Toni missing. I was also told that her roommate called her in missing. I hope I didn't break a rule by posting that info as it was not first hand from parents. Why wouldn't her roommate call her parents if that is true? If he is used to her being out all night, why would he upon waking call her friend and then call the club, and then call her in missing? I am assuming the parents have an altered relationship with him and maybe that's why. JMO. Thanks

Welcome! I'm sorry that someone who was so kind to your kids is now missing. Thanks for giving an insight into her life prior to adulthood. I have seen in other places that she was a great lifeguard that was well-liked.

Yes, her phone has not been found but was last pinged in Parkville (much more north than the QT but everything we know about her plans that night was SOUTH of QT).

Sort off OT but every time I into into this case the words "lacking self confidence" come to me very strongly. I do not know Toni, but I feel these words very strongly which may or may not relate to her disappearance. Just mentioning this intuition I sense when thinking about Toni.
I got that vibe too.

Yeah. I would like to know how good a night she had.

Yep. Plus strip clubs have cameras to make sure that the bar and waitresses and dancers and patrons are not stealing.

So I would love to see who left when the dancers left jmo.

Btw. Her place of employment is not offering a reward?

Sheeet.

Them dancers need to quit now and go work for McDonald's or something. Jmo.

Why would her employers offer a reward?

If everyone here had the opportunity to search an area or place where would it be? This case is losing steam with all of the unknown information. Give me your GUT feeling.

I suspect this was misreported. The traffic stop was across an intersection from the QuikTrip. Some reports are that he directed her to the station. That could easily get misreported as escorted. There was no reason to escort her, as they were already right there.

The reports never said escorted, someone here has made that up. The reports were the officer directed her to the gas station and he watched from across the street she drove to QT and got gas and left. These exact words came from the chief of police. From a distance you can only assume someone got gas, I haven't seen any report from QuikTrip stating what she purchased or didn't purchase. So either the LE is holding this evidence or they haven't looked into it.

Idk. Maybe to let the public know that they care about their workers.

Especially if its possible that a unknown patron may have been obsessed and followed her.

Idk.
Your comment just gave off the vibe that you thought the employers are in the wrong for not offering a reward, but there isn't a reason they should. Its not a chain that I know of, they probably don't have a bunch of money to throw around, just for one employee who went missing

Parkville where her last cell phone ping is needs to be searched thoroughly.

Thanks for the information! One thing I noticed on her SM during her life guard years, she was always traveling out of town for music shows. This would have been during high school, and at that age I don't think I would allow a child to go out of town on their own or with friends to random music shows with no adult presence. She's kept that tradition of traveling up until going missing.

One thing you mention a few times in your post is about the roommate. Is it just a roommate or was that her boyfriend?

I don't think companies or apartment associations offer up a reward unless there is potential negligence or evidence suggesting the disappearance occurred on their property. Of course there are exceptions to this like if the person missing is a long time employee, proven to be stable, hardworking, etc...

If Toni's last known whereabouts was at Chrome with no one seeing her leaving or driving away... there may be different response from Chrome. But since she was last seeing far away from work... there is less of a connection to her employer.

All JMO.

I think the employer reward varies with the employer. I have seen many cases where an employer has offered a reward. However, there many, many more cases where an employer doesn't offer a reward.

I was just at the QuikTrip at 26th and Burlington and I noticed that they have cameras around the whole building including the backside of the building. I've got to think the police department have reviewed those videos and if they haven't then why didn't they.

She had multiple jobs at once based on SM and news reporting. Chrome was the actual employer to see her last. I would highly doubt a shady strip would offer anything up.

Needless to say this entire missing persons case has too much speculation and not enough evidence released to the public to help find her or even give an exact tip of "hey, I think I saw here here..." to go off of. There have been other local to the KC metro area cases that did have actual video released of the person that went missing to show what they were wearing - we haven't even seen that with this case, even though I am assuming it exists both at Chrome and the QuikTrip. So far everything is speculation, times keep changing, etc.

I agree as well. I went through alot of her twitter history and you can get a bit of a storyline. I don't profess to knowing her life, but my impression is that she was a typical kid in so many ways.

Unsure of herself.
Unsure of what her career would be.
A longing to be accepted, yet feeling unaccepted.
Felt good about helping kids at her job.

I got the impression that she was accepting others.

She made some mistakes, which is common with all kids. It didn't seems as if she aspired to be a stripper, but her physical appearance was something that she likely realized was a currency of sorts in her life. She could be accepted in her occupation almost completely based on physical beauty. She seemed to get more comfortable with herself over time, not placing as much weight on what others thought of her choices. She struck me as a positive person, with a tendency to get get depressed. So lacking self confidence did seem to be something she struggled with. But that's not uncommon at all.

I do fear that she just happened to get caught up in a few elements that are commonly surrounding her occupation and unfortunately there are risks that come with such things.

I don't doubt for a moment that her boyfriend and some of her friends know quite a bit more about what might have happened to her. They might not know exactly, but I believe they know more about the risks she was taking than is being divulged.

I believe the police know some of that as well.

We don't, so we are left with a whole lot of sketchiness that is by design meant to hide truth. I don't believe it's nearly as probable that it's an accident anymore. just my opinion.

If she danced that night. Then why use her card for gas and not the cash.

Was the cash for something else?

It's possible she was at the ATM trying to get a stash of cash for some reason, like an extended road trip.

Or it was at the pump and simply for the sake of convenience. If she wanted a fill, then that's hard to pay for in cash, assuming that you have to prepay.
