This is all so odd...was this the only time that mom slept in so late? Had she told anyone she was going to sleep late today? Did Grandma sleep in too? I just can't put together no one poking their head in the baby's room until 11am, if that is the timeline...JMO

I guess whoever did this, just left his little body laying here. They found him so quickly.

My understanding is that she overslept, BECAUSE the baby didn't wake her. I have a little one who doesn't sleep well, so on weekends he is my alarm clock and I could easily sleep that late. In fact a couple weekends ago I did sleep that late because my husband got up with the kids.

So very, very sad. A woman & man walking their dogs found his little body. The reporter asked if he was wearing his pajamas or covered in a blanket and they said no.

Bless little Tyler. May you rest in peace and may we find whoever did this to you and bring them to justice.

well, I just saw the bike path . . . so I am almost convinced I know where this is. Thinking about hopping on my bike & going down there. Naw, I have too much respect to get in the way !

Is it normal for a 1-year-old baby to be put down to sleep at 10:30 at night? Was this his normal sleeping schedule? Was this sleeping schedule put into place so that mom could sleep in on a regular basis?

So many questions. I hate that I become so suspicious of the mother's and/or father's everytime one of these stories break... It just happens so often now. I pray little Tyler is okay and that it is some sort of custodial dispute and mom is in no way involved.

Do we know how old Mom is? Or even grandma? Most people think of grandma's being elderly and all... but that is not the case anymore. Grandmother's are getting younger and younger.

It may not be normal, but it's not unheard of. If a baby takes naps during the day, they may not be ready to go to sleep for the night until 10:00 or later, so could therefore sleep late the next morning. My youngest son was NEVER put down early.... he would stay awake till late, and a couple times he was awake until midnight. But he rarely slept late in the morning... was always up by 7:00. His nap in the afternoon consisted of MAYBE 30 minutes. Needless to say, I was usually exhausted! He is a nightowl to this day, and he's 26.

I know we can't talk about scanner chatter, but did we have anyone on the scanners earlier? It's rumoured (RUMOR) that someone called 911 about a baby crying in the woods behind his house. This led police to where they are now.

Again - just a rumour (I'm sure loads of them are going round right now). Just curious if anyone was on chatter.

Thx.

Mel

I cannot believe that police are not keeping people away from the home?? That whole street should be a crimescene! At least in the direction this "man" was seen carrying the baby?? This is reminding me so much about what happened in the JonBenet Ramsey case. :banghead::banghead:

There should be officers keeping people away!!

Looks like they might be getting ready to remove the childs body...or blocking the body?

The sheet, with screens put up...

This is a world gone mad. Every day it seems another very young child is reported missing. On and On and On. When will this stop.

Just awful. Prayers for those who love this little man.

Someone's baby has been found dead. If the child is not Tyler, prayers for those who did love and miss the poor youngster found.

Reporter said he had his pjs on,wonder if she got that info from the officer.

OMG - the local media here is just plain AWFUL! Right in the faces of these grieving people . . .

Kris is the gramma's name

Not too far away from his house on Clevedon Street - but not sure where the body was found. If you Google Affton, MO, and check the Google map, you can see the River, the cemetery & the parks along the River's banks. I heard something about Olde English Road which is just west of the big cemetery . . . Fox2News said not a mile away from the house

Man, family saw this on the TV before LE could talk with them . . . NASTY media!

From what I've heard about local's in LI case, this is my suspicion as to why they are only talking to networks and not local media.

I feel so bad for the family having to deal with all of that.

All of this is.just.so.sad.

Saying that LE has said there is only one child missing that they are aware of...

I heard that too winterrose. She also said that he was covered with his blankie. Hmm wonder where she got all that from?

I have the StL City & Fire scanner on at my house all the time. However, about 1120a it went offline! I was not listening, of course, as it is just noise in the background. That was just about the time when I saw my neighbor, a StL Detective, fly out of his house & jump into his black Yukon & speed off. But then the Amber Alert went out & I turned on KMOX (AM radio). My neighborhood is up Gravois Ave a few miles north of the County Line.

I see the "King of Beers" building all the time!
