There's a case to sleuth. <respectfully snipped> There's a lot of stuff to discuss.

And little that LE has provided to us to sleuth . . . at this time.

Check local StL media. Actually, KMOX 1120 AM had an update (nothing new) at the top of the hour (midnight) about Tyler & searching at the body's location point.

I am waiting up to see when my neighbor returns home in his black Yukon!

Here's a satellite photo of the area... A is the house, the red circle is where Tyler was found (watched the news footage over & over to determine where he was and I believe this to be accurate) and the red line is the direct route from the house to where he was found. He was so very close to home!

The pjs/blankets might have been gifts from two different people. Mom/grandma might have found them on sale and bought two sets because she liked the print or they were the only boy print the store had. Someone could have given her a second used set like the set she had purchased.

There's really nothing sinister about a baby having two sets of the same clothes.

Also websites don't always have the same clothes available that they do in the stores.

BBM When one of my grandsons was about that age he had a pair of Buzz Lightyear jammies that he would NOT take off. My daughter would have to undress him while he was sleeping, wsh them and get them back on after they were dry. I'm sure she wished she had 2 pair of them.

I've seen a few posts about the mom possibly working nights and that is why she slept so late-has that been confirmed, or was it just a suggestion?

I'm not really understand the lack of checking on small babies in these recent cases...JMO. My kitty is sleeping in another room this evening and I have checked on him at least three times...but anyway, maybe I am the weird one.

My opinion of why the police had an exact set of the pajamas and blanket is simple. The mother told them where she bought them and they went there and found them so they could have something to show the public to look out for. I don't think she had 2 of them.

My grandson has some duplicates PJ'S.Nothing weird about it to me.

excellent example of the terrain . . . it's where the body was found.

I read here a page or so back that Shelby the mom had a bf. Could he have spent the night at the house last night? Could this baby have died at home and the bf be the one carrying the baby wrapped in a blue blanket down the street?

Nothing more than me theorizing.

krimekat... while i was following it on facebook on fox2 & kmov they posted the jammies several times and I along with a bunch of others kept begging them to post a photo of Tyler. They replied to all of us that the family didn't have one available, which sent people into a rampage of why the family didn't have a photo of baby Tyler. I know it took them almost 2 hours on facebook to post a picture, and the first one I saw was a friend holding up a cellphone photo of him.

I didn't have the television on as I ran out for a bit after they first broke the story right before noon, and when I returned to the neighborhood I found my neighbor sprawled in the middle of the street. He had fallen off his bike, we called the EMT's they think he had a stroke, couldn't find his wife to inform her, so I called church to have them call her because I knew she'd answer from that number... she did... when I finally got back home they had just posted his picture on facebook and that was almost at 2! They could have had it on tv, I don't know since I didn't turn it on until then... but I know social media was all up in arms about not having a picture of his sweet little face.

Anyway, I think we're both right since we're referring to different things... and I think the media stirred the pot and the publics emotions saying the family had no pictures of him. I know I found that hinky to begin with... now I'm seeing all kinds of pictures of his beautiful little face.

JMO, but 2 things I will not be critical of that were mentioned prior:

1. Bedtime and Mom sleeping late: When my oldest was that age, she would sleep 12 hours from the time I put her to bed. So if we were doing something that might be late, I would give her a nap early evening, then keep her up til we went to bed. She would sleep and we could sleep late. So I will not bash the mother for not waking up at the crack of dawn.

2. It was asked why the grandma did not check on Shelby and Tyler before she went to work: My 25 yo daughter and 5 mo. granddaughter stayed with me for 4 days when they lost power from the snow storm we had recently. I did not check on them when I woke up. My daughter is not an infant and had one to take care of. It would be invasive of me to open the door to check on her.

I have no opinion yet as to what happened, but I think the above 2 points are moot in the investigation.

JMO only, Tyler had his own room, I'm sure Grandma did as she probably paid the rent, and maybe Mom slept on the couch?

The cousin we've been seeing today is in the video Toddler found is Tyler. She said that there's nothing they can ever do to get him to possibly take his medication. The only one who's involved from his side of the family is his Mom.There's not anything else that he'll have anything to do with him.Shelby would go over to see his Mom and he would randomly be there and he would just say, whatever I'm leaving.

Stella - what a day! Hope your neighbor is okay . . .

What I cannot explain is how a TV/radio station has a picture but cannot plaster it every where possible? Isn't that what Social Media is for, duh? I have mixed feelings about the media exposing this crime, but we'll see as things progress.

Today it was Tyler getting 20+ pages of attention here at WS, but kids go missing or are killed in StL every day, not kidding! Some WS threads I've started have no more than a page worth of posts. The first month I moved to this neighborhood an 18 month old was found in the dumpster; I started a thread & no one came. So, what is it that captures our attention: the actual crime or the exposure to the crime?

And what is your definition of sleuthing (to no one in particular & please don't flood this thread with your thoughts about my thought)? Just food for thought . . . this is about Tyler Dasher!

Oh my goodness,I had no idea.I'll usually see it on the news,or someone will mention it on twitter or another case we're posting on.I think the cases usually stay on the news when there's people like JT and BS to come along and sensationalize it.Usually drama material that the media can play off of,isn't that so sad?The focus goes completely off the child.

The cousin also said Shelby and Tyler's father had a -and I quote-
" tumultuous relationship".

I'm concerned about the babies dad not taking his meds.

As we begin a new day, I hope the person that harmed Tyler is found and arrested.

There's some customs a body is placed face down, might be no signifigance here. But still,it's unusual,no marks on him, nothing on him and face down. Like the person didn't want to see his face, guess the only way to know is the person gets caught.I didn't really want to think about that tonight, but it just keeps coming in my mind.

I remember on one of the many crime shows I watch, they said that usually if the perp knows the victim, they will conceal the body and or hide the face. I'm not sure if this includes hiding the face by putting the victim face down though.

It is also said that perps hide the body if they are known to have a connection because the longer it takes to find the body the better their chances of getting away or creating an alibi. Likewise, someone with no other connection to the victim doesn't really care if the body is found as there is no known link between them. Just food for thought is all.

So if his pjs or blanket weren't there, they've been disposed of somewhere else.I guess anywhere in the surrounding area they're probably burnt,so far we've not heard anything about a dumpster fire.

I thought I read early, upthread, that his clothes and blanket were found in a nearby yard? I could be mistaken, but I'm quite sure I read that. not sure if it was confirmed though. the way my PC is acting up tonight on here, I'm not even sure I can locate it. Sorry.
