BREAKING: New details in the Moorer murder trial as it relates to the Heather Elvis case, including a new lead... http://fb.me/2jaOftAO4

Can someone help me, I can't read the link. It says you need an account.

Subscription is required but here's what was visible:

A new attorney is taking over the legal reigns in the trial of Sidney and Tammy Moorer.
Jimmy Richardson, solicitor for the 15th Judicial Circuit, confirmed Monday that assistant solicitor Nancy Livesay is now the lead prosecutor in the Moorer murder trial.

----

Hope this helps (and I hope other WSers will chime in with more info :) )

I was able to read that much also. I have never had trouble reading their site before now. Must of exceeded my limit.

I've never had a problem before today either and I'm local. I thought that news sites usually only require a subscription for locals but allow non-locals access. What's strange is that I pulled up their full website & can read other articles... just not that particular one. And apparently they are the only ones reporting on it at this time. Odd.

I cannot WAIT for this trial! It says by winter so I'm assuming it'll begin mid winter and we'll all be hunkered up under our blankets at our computers.

Soooo :waiting:

Has TM delivered that baby yet?

Hmm, good question, although I imagine an imaginary baby can be born at whatever imaginary time the mother chooses.
Watch her fake labor pains of the fake baby on the first day of the trial to get out of it (the first day, not the whole thing).

I can't find any other article, the one Jewels linked has 'paid content' in the link so I guess only subscribers can see it. I checked the SC Public Index and all of the Bond stuff has been cleared off both TM and SM's pages, only the Pending for General Sessions is up now. No new dates or info though.

I remember this same scenario vividly from last Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Everyone else was celebrating the holiday, and I was planted right here sleuthing for hours with a few of you extra committed folks. It did not feel right celebrating when her family was frantically missing their loved one.

I wonder if Heather's body will ever be found. I still think SM's job somehow played a role in the disposal process. jmo

Reset your cache. Might work however, we've been notified that beginning mid August they would be requiring memberships. Our free paper stopped as well.....

Paraphrased is that it happened two weeks ago, is a routine scheduling change because each of the state’s 16 judicial circuits were awarded with $100,000 grants and the money in this circuit was used to hire a violent crimes prosecutor, which was Livesay. Elder will still help, but this is to help reduce Elder's caseload.

It opened at this link for me ..

Livesay named lead prosecutor in Heather Elvis case, trial possible by wintertime

(Nancy) Livesay graduated from Campbell University law school in 2005, and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar on June 6, 2006, according to the S.C. Supreme Court website. Most recently, she was the prosecuting attorney in the murder trial of Joshua Blake Griffith, who in January 2014 was convicted of murder in connection with a 2009 stabbing death at a Myrtle Beach area nightclub.

Sidney Moorer defense attorney files new motion to compel in Heather Elvis case

A new motion filed in the prosecution of Sidney and Tammy Moorer seeking evidence from the state could trigger another hearing in the case, according to legal experts.
But the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, which is prosecuting, says it intends to share all the evidence it can and thinks the defense's requests can be met without the need for a hearing.

I saw this today.

http://www.thestate.com/2014/09/05/3661413_motion-for-evidence-filed-in-case.html?rh=1

An attorney for a Myrtle Beach man charged in connection with the disappearance of 20-year-old Heather Elvis has filed a motion to compel prosecutors to hand over evidence, according to court records filed Tuesday in Conway.

Kirk Truslow, who represents Sidney Moorer, filed the motion for a judge “compelling the state to produce certain evidence,” according to the court record. It was unclear what evidence was being sought by the defense attorney...

Jimmy Richardson, 15th Circuit Solicitor, said Friday that no upcoming hearings were scheduled in the cases or regarding the motion.

Oh my mind is in overdrive on that evidence they want....it went straight to the remains that were found. Dangle a Mickey sheet and see what happens. jmo

Horry County police would not necessarily have any of that evidence in their hands as the evidence belongs to FL authorities, unless it was determined those remains were Heather. The detectives in Horry County might have been shown pictures of what was found, but those wouldn't become part of the Moorer case file until or unless they linked the remains to being Heather or unless they were trying to get Sidney to tell them if those sheets and curtains belonged to them. However, that would be the state going to SM & his attorney to get SM to cough up some info maybe in exchange for some kind of deal, not SM's attorney having to file a motion seeking discovery.

Sorry for having to ask this, but I am behind in this thread.
There was a body found wrapped in Mickey Mouse sheets?

Yes, homemade Mickey Mouse sheets.
