It would also explain how she ran off the road at what appears to be an impossible angle. If you were suddenly unexpectedly engulfed in flames that is exactly what you would do.

I agree that explains why the car went UP the incline to the gate and she jumped out and headed to the road.

I have gone over, and over, and over this in my mind as well. The gas can man said he was buying gas for the generator for his trailer, as that's the way they generate electricity for their trailer. My thoughts were, this is such a perplexing scenario. We had an ice storm a few years back, and lost power in our home for 4 days, 3 nights. We spent hundreds of dollars on gas to run that generator, and our house was tiny. I mean really, really tiny. I am just curious as to why a person would use this as an everyday method to generate electricity in their home. It would be so expensive!
I thought it was a little strange. And yes...it would seem to be costly to get electricity that way.

But why were the seats reportedly reclined?

I have no idea but I also haven't seen anything that indicates the driver's seat was reclined.

Could the fire have caused the seats to recline? I have to admit I haven't seen any photos of the car after the fire. High heat could cause things to change inside the car. JMO.

But why were the seats reportedly reclined?

ATOH , it sure was reported earlier that both front seats were reclined. We had a lonnggg convo about that a couple threads back.

IIRC at least one fireman and one auto specialist explained the seat situation. There are pics of the inside of the car here somewhere.

But why were the seats reportedly reclined?

When someone sits on the passenger side and reclines the seat, do you put it back upright if they leave it that way? Wasn't the driver's side more upright?

This is the first time I've read this and I find it beyond interesting.

""Some people are saying she stopped by a party after that," said Chambers. "We think whoever called her over to them was asking her to go to that party, because where she was found and where the party was aren't very far apart."

Body language does not lie.

i agree about that...which caused me to watch the video of JC walking to the other side of the station over and over again.

And wasnt it verified who she spoke to? I know i read that somewhere.

A judge is not going to go off of someone 'saying' it was attended to or supervised. There would have to be said person testifying that they were in fact there, at that time, colaborating all other witness statements. LE would be asked to testify to this as well.

I've driven wreckers before. 99% of the time you ride alone. The only person you're usually allowed to have as a passenger is the owner(s) of the vehicle on the hook. We know Jessica wasn't riding in the wrecker, so if he went into the M&M store you can safely assume the vehicle was left unattended. I know the defense attorneys will.

Courtney Village Dr intersects with Main Street. Jessica's car was found further west after the street becomes Herron Rd. I don't know how to post maps but it's not the same location. Tons of trees would muffle sounds.

JMO

I accepted your thought that trees would muffle sounds, but then it occurred to me to do a little sleuthing to verify.

I visited some undeveloped land somewhat near this area almost two weeks ago. I was standing outside my car at one point and heard muffled voices talking at normal volumes. I realized that they had to have been coming from beside a little country church that Google Maps tells me is about 900 feet away through about 75% thick woods (25% open pasture).

To compare, Google tells me that the dwelling nearest the burn site on Courtney Village Dr (the one within city limits) is about 1,000 feet away through low-density woods.

This tells me that a person standing outside a dwelling on Courtney Village Dr (within city limits) just 1,000 feet from the burn site would be able to hear normal talking. Any yelling, screaming, explosions, etc. would be even easier to hear.

I'm not implying anyone heard anything, but I do happen to take a contrary position, ie, that the low-density woods there wouldn't have muffled much noise at that distance.

Of course, I'm not sure how much good this does anyone. It was a cold night, so most everyone was likely inside (unless they were crappie fishing or whatever).

All IMO

I think that wind would play a bigger factor in how far noise would travel that night. Was there any wind blowing that night and if so how much? JMO.

i imagine using a generator 24/7 is very expensive. Did you see the video of gasoline guy being interviewed by a local news station? He showed a generator beside his trailer.

Do we know if the tow truck was outside of the view of surveillance cameras from the store? Maybe LE has video of the truck and Jessica's car the whole time it was stopped at the store. JMO.

I think everyone was inside and windows closed in those homes on Courtney Dr. the evening of Nov. 6. I live in a home that is one mile south of a state highway with considerable semi-traffic. If we are outside, we can hear the sounds of traffic because our home is at a higher elevation than the highway. We can hear trucks shift gears as they navigate the hill. However, if our windows are closed and we are inside, there is silence.

poke to the gal who wanted a cig

answering my own post, lol
it was verified JC spoke to cig gal who wanted a cig.

But what hasn't been verified is whether the cig gal's story is what was actually said to Jessica.

Maybe on cctv from M&M...wasn't it a few days until LE got custody of the surveillance system? JMO
