Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble following the point the Defense Attorney is trying to make? None of it seems cohesive or even relevant.

Defense still cross examining MBI Agent Tim Douglas. Showing clips from interview with Tellis #JessicaChambers @LocalMemphis

Speaking of Slow Talkin' Jones....

And then along came Jones
Tall thin Jones
Slow-walkin' Jones
Slow-talkin' Jones…

I could not understand the name but thought it might be "speights."
NOT SURE but could it be Eric Randy Robinson aka Eric Booker aka I’Break Bones? There is álso a Sprites(spellings?) that was friends with Tellis. He hung out at the Sandbox.

reasonable doubt, is the only thing I can think of

Finally! Objection.....Mr. Thompson was trying to get to the truth! "forgotten" BS....trying to remember lies is hard

The Defense and Douglas continue to get testy with each other. #JessicaChambers

IMO attack the Investigation (Defense tactic) it's getting old. For me.

MBI agent being nice, I would find it hard not to say QT opens his mouth and lies....

I think the defense was trying to establish that QT simply has trouble following conversations and questions and didn't actually lie...he just didn't understand the question. Um, ok.

I keep waiting for an objection as to relevancy. I am no expert, but I have never seen a trial where the Defense used this "tactic" if that's what it is. It must be extremely frustrating for the family to sit and listen to nonsense that doesn't even matter. I hope this pattern of showing 30 second clips, then basically only calling into question why the agent would use common investigation techniques isn't the only item on the defense agenda today.

I agree with you, even tough I think QT was out and out being a liar.

QT does have slow cognitive, comprehension & processing skills. But, they are not on trial. He doused a young living breathing woman with gasoline and with one flick of his lighter burned her alive. It's his souless evil burning of Jessica that is on trial.

I have seen cases where the Investigation is attacked but not what we are seeing here. Speaking to the Interrogation of Tellis. For me this isn't helpful for the Defense. It reminds me again of his lies.

Also, wasn't Roscoe Speights one the first POIs to be interviewed by detectives? RS nickname?

Just as with the Detectives, I am experiencing difficulty in recalling their birth names and matching that name to their multiple street names.

getting questioned about a murder is no ordinary day....you remember details

Note to Judge-have the pen clicker person stop! and get some WD-40 for that squeaky chair lol

Oh my.

To paraphrase:

Defense attorney implied that QT shouldn't be expected to remember the exact happenings of day 30 days prior and asks Douglas if HE would remember exactly what he did on a specific day 30 days ago. Douglas replies that yes, he would if a significant event happened on that day! If someone died, certainly. Douglas says he doesn't have an event like that in his life 30 days ago. Defense attorney says, "well people die every day.....but that doesn't mean we remember the day's events from 30 days ago just because there was a death. Maybe that death wasn't significant enough for us to remember the day by it." Douglas agree. Defense attorney says, "So Jessica's death just wasn't a significant event for QT." Douglas: "I disagree with you 100%."

Oh brother!!! What an idiotic line of thinking!

BIB: For that alone, QT should NOT have been questioned without his attorney being present. No matter how much he wanted to talk. He should have been left alone until his attorney arrived....left alone in the room. MOO

Playing the clips of QT describing how they had sex in her car is so distasteful and not necessary.
