I've been reading along, but a couple thoughts have me finally posting.

I could see Beverly moving out to the bigger home if it was easier to renovate into handicap accessible. It hasn't been said, but I was also thinking that Gregory would also move out there eventually.

They phones pinged near Anaconda. I'm wondering if there are cameras in that town that could have caught a late night car ride through town (assuming whoever they were with or had a hand in their disappearance went through town). I'm guessing that there wouldn't be too much traffic after 10pm on a weeknight. I'm basing that on the fact that my parents live in the same size town in Northern California and the town rolls up the sidewalks by 630pm.

Welcone Ceilimom! Yes I'm happy they decided to do this at night! Red light cameras and surveillance cameras on gas stations. I bet a lot of mistakes were made to.

Praying

Maybe she is renovating it because eventually it will go to her son and he will live there?

Hi Charminglane. The house is owned by her son. It was transferred to his name when his father died. The question was why would Beverly, a 79 year old woman, choose to move to a house that is far from town and its conveniences? She is currently living in a home she owns in town. We weren't questioning why she is renovating.

Except the last ping on her phone was at tower in Anaconda on 10/31. Halloween, Saturday night. It's a pretty good bet Anaconda wasn't sound asleep at that time, especially considering the town is big enough for a high school.

Found Beverly land transfer in 2010

Also at the link go to search bar and type in police blotter 2015 then click on a date and it will bring up police logs.

Great find trigger! Here is a case map that includes the properties owned by Beverly and Gregory per the Montana GIS system. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z2VLvG6QAl8U.km_CVNXGQfTE&usp=sharing

Here is a link to the Montana GIS: http://svc.mt.gov/msl/mtcadastral/ Search by their last name in Powell County.

It's still a very small town and the phone ping was at 11:30 pm. There probably wasn't many people around. Plus, just because the phone pinged at towers in Anaconda, doesn't mean they were in town at all. If they traveled down Rt 90, they would not have even passed through town. https://www.google.com/maps/place/A...8!3m1!1s0x535b90ccfb3e84ed:0x5b9d0b5bcf82d85b

I believe cell towers have a range of at least 20 miles and up to 40 or so depending on the equipment/service. That's a big area in the vast wilderness of Montana. Unfortunately, there are not many cameras around in those parts. But if there are, I sure hope LE have checked them out.

Do we have any information about the division of WG's estate? Are we allowed to discuss the Brother-respectfully of course?

ETA This family has been through an awful lot in the last couple of years.

My thoughts regarding Beverly planning to move into the big house outside the city - maybe the plan was to move there together (Bev and Greg). With her advanced age and him having sustained serious injuries in an accident a few years back (and he's also not young anymore) they might have thought living together makes more sense as they can assist each if and when needed. Maybe their two houses in town where they presently lived were to small to accommodate the both of them. just speculating

I believe as long as we are not accusing the brother of anything we can talk about him. I didn't even know there is a brother. Greg's brother?

Both the Father and Brother's obituaries are easy to find. I think I'm okay but I'm not sure so better safe than sorry. If you find one you'll find the other.

While sitting here drinking coffee early this morning, before going to work on these plans, I decided to review this case from page one. I know there were some pending questions from yesterday and a little confusion here and there, so I thought I would copy and highlight some of the information that has been published in regards to this case. I compiled this mainly to get my own facts straight and attempt to get a better overview of what might have happened.

In 1957, Bill married Beverly Giannonatti, ending in 1999. They had two sons, Gregory and Darrell. Bill was preceded in death by Darrell, and Greg is presently living in Deer Lodge.
Bill was Supervisor of Signals and Communications for the Milwaukee Railroad, and was so sad at its demise. He then moved to Billings, as a supervisor of the National Railroad Administration. After retiring from the NRA, he moved to his country home in Deer Lodge.

Bill and Beverly divorced in 1999, had two sons, Bill worked for railroad.

On Monday, Howard said he had obtained phone numbers for both Beverly and Gregory and with the help of the phone company determined the phones were dead or turned off most of the time.

However, an incoming call was received on Beverly’s phone on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11:32 p.m. and Gregory’s phone received calls on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 9:14 p.m. and at 11:39 p.m. With subpoenas, a deeper investigation of phone calls will be made, he said.

The calls we've all heard about were incoming calls, not outgoing. This would be people trying to call them. For whatever reason, those calls went through and logged, but were never answered.

Beverly was last seen at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Muriah’s restaurant in Deer Lodge, where she was having lunch with an unknown man who appeared to be about 60.

Authorities are working to identify him and would like to talk to him. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

http://helenair.com/news/local/upda...cle_f21bf134-1452-56ef-8512-5a2e6122a9f8.html

Finding this mystery man is going to be key in this case. Small little town, but apparently nobody knows this guy.
_________________________________________________________________________

Gregory was last seen by a witness on Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. leaving his residence driving a white 1995 Camry at a speed faster than normal heading east toward downtown Deer Lodge — in a direction opposite from his mother’s house.

Officers also checked Gregory’s house, one-half mile from Beverly’s house, on Sunday. They heard the dog inside and made a forced entry to do a welfare check. There was no sign of a struggle, the television was on and food was cooking in a crock pot, Howard said.

The mom and son live a simple, private life, Howard said. Both have dogs they love that require medication and it’s unusual for them to leave the dogs like that, he said.

http://helenair.com/news/local/upda...cle_f21bf134-1452-56ef-8512-5a2e6122a9f8.html

He left in a big hurry so it seems. Why ? Did he receive a phone call from someone ? If so, who was it calling ? Could the call have come from his mothers phone ? If it did, it hasn't been reported that way.
His car was later found parked at the home being remodeled, apparently with a bunch of junk on the passengers side.
______________________________________________________________________________

The vehicles for both individuals have been accounted for, including the white Camry, which was found Nov. 1 at Gregory’s late father’s house on Larkspur Road on Beck Hill. Officers also entered that home on Sunday to do a welfare check, and nothing appeared out of place, Howard said. The home is located in a subdivision in view of neighbors who have not reported anything unusual.

So the cops did interview the neighbors across the street from the remodeled home----they didn't notice anything unusual taking place. Which may or may not mean anything, they could have been in bed sleeping.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Until their divorce, Beverly lived in the Larkspur home with her husband, Bill. He died Aug. 31, and she was having remodeling done prior to returning to the residence.

Howard said that on Oct. 19 a cleaning woman at the Larkspur home found a large gold bar, and immediately called Beverly who friends said went to the house to get it. The whereabouts of that ingot is unknown at this time, he said.
http://helenair.com/news/local/upda...cle_f21bf134-1452-56ef-8512-5a2e6122a9f8.html

Apparently the home on Larkspur must have been the family home. Beverly must have liked it and wanted to move back into it. Take note, other people knew about the gold bar besides just Beverly and the maid. That widens our suspect pool considerably. Our 60 y.o. mystery man made his appearance after the gold bar was found.

Sheriff Scott Howard and Deer Lodge Police Chief Rick Johnson obtained search warrants Wednesday and are conducting searches of the individuals’ homes, bank, credit and debit card records, telephone logs and mail. The process takes time and Wednesday afternoon officials had nothing new to report.

This article was published exactly one week ago. So far nothing new in regards to the electronic breadcrumb trail.

"There’s fear in this town because this is an unknown, what's going on. This is a community where a lot of people left their doors unlocked and all of sudden they're wondering what's going on here." This mystery has the Deer Lodge community baffled and on edge, and law enforcement shares in those feelings.
Powell County Sheriff Scott Howard said, "I would comfortably say that I believe there's some sort of foul play here."
"We've both been doing this here 30 years in 60 years combined and I've never come up with something like this and I think we can easily say something strange is going on," added Rick Johnson, Deer Lodge Chief of Police.

They have some really bad people living amongst them. Another thing that hasn't been discussed, did this cleaning lady have additional staff with her, helpers so to speak ? For some reason this crime feels like young kids, maybe strung out druggies, hatching a get-rich-quick scheme at the expense of this woman. Items stolen from the sons home also indicate females may be involved. Is there a 60 year old patriarch leading the entire bunch?

Thanks Elainera, That does make the most sense. The media has been reporting that Beverly was moving into the house, which does not necessarily mean that she is the only person moving there. Thanks for pointing that out!

Does anybody know for sure if the 3 incoming calls were the ones that pinged off the tower in Anaconda ?

Are we sure this is the home Greg lived in ?? The address shows that beat up old trailer house. It looks like more of a rental rather than where I envisioned he would live. Could he have lived in the house to the left, which would be 1201 Washington ?

It was all three calls. See the note at the bottom of this article. http://www.abcfoxmontana.com/story/...o-help-find-missing-deer-lodge-mother-and-son
Deer Lodge police also said both Giannonattis cell phones have been powered off for several days. The last pings came from an Anaconda cell tower. Beverly's phone had a ping on October 31 and Gregory’s had two pings on November 1.

I'll bet this is the one. Shew !! .......glad he didn't live in that rat trap next door.

I don't see how anyone could have easily ripped him off though. He is surrounded by neighbors on all 4 sides. I don't see a window with an air conditioner in it, so I don't know exactly where the thieves made entry. Those homes are packed in there pretty tight, hard to believe nobody saw or heard anything during the break-in.

Same house, different view. Corner of Conley and Washington.
