Does "stable condition" indicate some harm had come to her, self inflicted, accidental or outside force, or is that a standard way of saying her vitals are "normal?"
A word about the hospital -- It sounds like a good place:

It is. I've been hospitalized there for asthma issues and have always felt well cared for. Sentara is huge down here. They run most of the hospitals, plus they have many urgent care facilities, specialists and other medical services in this area. They offer financial assistance to patients who can't afford to pay. I know a friend whose entire bill for a weekend stay was forgiven by Sentara because she was unemployed and struggling at the time.
I did not know. Just my thoughts, as post states. Sorry for any confusion. How did you know about this? I
don't remember anything re this.
Wow.

An OT question. English is not my first language so I wonder what is meant by the above? (I totally get snark though).

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2009/11Undetermined: Patient awaiting physician and assessment.
Good: Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious and comfortable. Indicators are excellent.
Fair: Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious, but may be uncomfortable. Indicators are favorable.
Serious: Vital signs may be unstable and not within normal limits. Patient is acutely ill. Indicators are questionable.
Critical: Vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits. Patient may be unconscious. Indicators are unfavorable.
The term "vital signs" means indicators such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. The one-word descriptions are not medical terms, and they are more art than science. They're based on a doctor's best judgment of a patient's condition, as relayed to hospital spokespersons.
Sounds like shes she's doing ok. Hallelujah!![]()
