Sister interview shows guy did get her ...sadly.....but I think it stinks in the trailer because if my assumption from what is said LE told " she grabbed the keys to warm up the car so she couldn't even get a ride to school in it and had to take the bus.... but something happens so fast by some guy who whaat , knew she was gonna warm this here car up, no wait was walking by, no wait was watching her pattern........just seem s so very odd to me <modsnip - not victim friendly>.

Maybe your right but I don’t think so. Time will tell! Let’s just hope they find her soon.

Thank you! Trying to get caught up.
The alert was not issued until 3 hrs after Hania was forced into the SUV, is that correct?? 3 hrs...that is a lot of time to be able to get out of the area without anyone being aware :(
Praying for Hania’s safe return!! MOO

Yes, per the PC the delay was in ensuring that the correct information was to be released.

Hania "grabbed" .....so "she""" thats implys she was given them and told?

Tip line established amid desperate search for abducted 13-year-old girl

Hania grabbed her aunt's keys so she could turn on the car ahead of going to the bus stop for school when a family member saw a man dressed in all black with a yellow bandanna over his face approach the teen and force her into the car, police said.
I feel like you are reading a lot into the word “grabbed”. They didn’t say she stole the keys. I often use the same word when describing someone taking something (often with permission). ie: I asked my son to warm up the car. He grabbed the keys off the counter and walked outside.

Police are still canvassing the area of the Rosewood Mobile Home Park where officials say 13 year old Hania Aguilar was kidnapped from her family’s front yard Monday morning. There will be a presser at 3:30 today for an update on the investigation. #FindHania

Good news about the presser. Hope it is one that gives answers, though we should be prepared that the purpose is to ask for tips.

Replying to my own question :) ...

Since it was early morning, I'm wondering if he was staying overnight at someone's place in the trailer park. Rolled out of bed and was going on his way when he saw a running car and grabbed the opportunity. That doesn't explain the bandana, but maybe he always has one handy? That scenario doesn't quite work.

I wonder if LE learned anything going door-to-door last night....did anyone have an overnight visitor? Was this guy seen in the trailer park before grabbing Hania and the car?

Did he wander in from elsewhere? If so, why? To carjack a vehicle while people are leaving for work and Hania just happened to be something extra he took? Or was Hania the target?

The timing is what is peculiar. There was only a small window of time when Hania would be alone and the vehicle available.

Thinking aloud, jmo.

When I hear of “bandana” on face I think of classic gang MO.

Is there gang activity in the area...could he be a gang member? Just a thought based on the “bandana”.

This is horrible that we’ve passed the 24 hour mark. :(

Eta. Thinking about this more, car jacking/theft also sounds possibly gang-ish, moo.

So we can get back on topic of where to look next, as for this topic of turning on the car, unlocking the car, waiting outside is kinda mute. If they handed her keys to unlock the hatch to put her school bag inside, same scenario would have happened. There is alot of things I don't let my kids do because of all the things I see on this forum. However, the blame lies with the perpetrator and our focus is on how to help generate leads and tips. Not point blame on trivial things unless LE says something. Then, open season. I understand the frustration, but this is 20/20 hindsight and a lesson to all who have young teens. But that's another issue for another forum at another time. Hope no offense is taken, I just think we need to focus on gas stations/ camera they could have passed and clues to bring her home....

It was a child Tina. There’s an interview with her little sister a few pages back. She saw the man come out of no where. :(

“Came out of nowhere”...

Need to study the map/terrain/area here.

He had to come from somewhere.

What all is around this area? Marking to look when I can.

That seems incredibly random to me, crimes of opportunity do occur...this man, with a bandanna across his face, is randomly walking the neighborhood, at 7am, sees a girl, with a car, pushes her in, and drives away?

Terrible tragedy. The world is unsafe.

The bandana stands out to me too. I posted about a car being stolen at 6:30 that night just under 4 hours away and the man had the same description! Maybe it’s a coincidence but I found it odd! The car was also similar.. a big 4x4 with tinted back windows. Perfect for hiding someone in the back.

I posted a google maps link earlier in the thread of the home if that helps.. makes it more confusing when you see how back they are off the main road..

My first thought when I read about the bandana was gang, too. Gangs carry bandana in their color - to show that you belong to a certain gang. I know the colors of some gangs in my city (unfortunate info to know), but not sure if yellow is a color in that area.

The bandana is NOT proof that the perp is in a gang (so don't jump on me for that) or if he is that he was showing gang colors, but it is a lead worth pondering until we have more info.

I just added to my post that in addition to the banana, the MO of carjacking/theft sounds possibly gang-ish as well, moo.

I'm also hoping the nearby businesses might have video of the perp before the abduction - did he WALK into the trailer park? Was anyone seen walking in the business area early that morning? Where was this guy??

The police are obviously looking into that in connection ( I hope! ) I just can’t get the similarities out of my head. I’d hate everyone to be looking out for the green car when it could be silver now!

I grab my keys every time I head to the car. This is common rural slang around these parts.

Maybe it's the fact that she was not getting a ride to school in the car she was warming but instead had to take the school bus. Then this nightmare because of it. Or even "if" she was told to go warm the car when its 70 degrees.

Is it fair to say we don’t know specifically what her normal transportation routine is? Unless somebody knows something I don’t, there doesn’t appear to be anything weird going on at all. Certainly nothing that should end with an abduction.

No, none of that is relevant at this moment. If it is, please provide a MSM link saying LE believes it to be. IMO Victim blaming is the worst thing to do right now.
