Hania Aguilar's family preparing to spend Thanksgiving with the teen missing
Hania Aguilar's family heads into the holiday season with a heavy heart -- the 13-year-old remains missing more than two weeks after being kidnapped from her yard. There are still no signs of her or her abductor.

On Wednesday, Hania's mother and loved ones attended a private service at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Red Springs.

"I wish I had information," Jones said. The FBI said it desperately needs information right now.

Although detectives say tips from the community are coming in, they want surveillance video. Authorities are expanding that request for video to all of Robeson County, including hunters with deer cameras.

Authorities want images in the area of Rosewood Mobile Home Park off Elizabethtown Road and Quincey Drive between Nov. 5 and 8, where Hania was snatched and the stolen getaway vehicle was found.

The community is keeping Hania's return home top of mind.

"That's my Thanksgiving prayer," said Jones. "I pray that she'll be all right."
Authorities have a number of leads that they are following.

The agency said in a statement last week that they needed "every piece of video," including surveillance video from deer hunters or from households along that route.

Agents are now attempting to narrow down the details of how the SUV was taken from Rosewood Mobile Home Park, Aguilar's neighborhood, to Quincey Drive.

Law enforcement officials have followed over 800 leads and conducted over 400 in person interviews in an attempt to find her.

Search for Hania Aguilar nears week 3
FBI officials are asking the public to be on the lookout for a distinctive pair of shoes belonging to Hania that were recently purchased by her family.

They are Adidas white sneakers with black stripes and have a colorful stitching on the back heel of the shoe.

"Think through what you've seen since November 5th, have you seen a discarded pair of shoes, did someone try to sell you shoes, did they show up in a donation bin? We want to make sure we draw attention to the shoes because they are distinctive and the kidnapper could try and get rid of them for that reason," said FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Andy De la Rocha.

FBI, police look for colorfully stitched sneakers as hunt for Hania Aguilar continues - WCCG 104.5 FM
The FBI and Lumberton Police Department said the person who kidnapped 13-year-old Hania Aguilar could try to get rid of a distinctive pair of sneakers.

Before she was kidnapped Nov. 5, Aguilar’s family bought her a pair of white Adidas brand sneakers with black stripes and colorful stitching on the heel of the shoe.

The law enforcement agencies asked members of the public to try to remember if they saw such a pair of shoes that were discarded or in a donation bin or if someone tried to sell those shoes.

The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI are asking the public to be on the lookout for a pair of shoes that belong to 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar. Hania’s family recently purchased a new and very distinctive pair of sneakers for her. They are Adidas brand, white sneakers with black stripes, and colorful stitching on the back heel of the shoe. “Think through what you’ve seen since November 5th, have you seen a discarded pair of shoes, did someone try to sell you shoes, did they show up in a donation bin? We want to make sure we draw attention to the shoes because they are distinctive and the kidnapper could try and get rid of them for that reason,” said FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Andy De la Rocha.

Investigators have run down dozens of leads over the last few weeks related to the shoes, now is the appropriate time to ask for additional help from the community as a precautionary measure to make sure we've exhausted all options with the shoes.

'No One Knows the Pain I Have in my Heart' | The Desperate Search to Find Hania Aguilar
"We've conducted hundreds of interviews, some people we've talked to several times as we get new information and hope to get more details to help us find our Hania," the FBI wrote in a press release.

Hania's mother asks whoever took her daughter to please bring her back home.

"I trust in God that my daughter will return. No one knows the pain I have in my heart. Despite all the criticism and speculation against me, I would never use my daughter’s name in order to take advantage of this situation.

I thank all those people who have provided me help. Please, if you know something, call. I ask everyone not to make absurd comments. For the love of God respect my pain. I only want Hania, my princess, back. I miss her."

"Our approach is that she is alive," said an FBI spokesman. "We have no evidence that indicates otherwise. We are pursuing all logical leads."
