Only getting to see this now - my thinking on schooling aspect is we have somewhat free third level education in Ireland (3k per year)(you must do a minimum of 3 yrs out of 6 in secondary school to qualify for "free" fees if you are an irish citizen whether living abroad or not) Always assumed this was why JC wanted JC to go to secondary (high) school in Ireland) I don't know how much college fees are in the states but I think they are a lot higher and also university of limerick in JC's hometown is highly rated

Thanks for the link Grouchymom, don't suppose you've heard any update on the appeals? (or the court transcripts) I'm glad it's all quietened down...but suspicious also!
No news at the moment. I have been swamped in a different case but it’s time to get some more info.

The Irish Independent is doing a 2 part book on the case this weekend. You need to buy the paper Saturday Andrew Sunday to get it. Ralph Regal reporter has written it. Any word on civilcase? Would/ Could this affect it?

Just seen it advertised on TV3. How do you protect the kids from this?

i do feel it will be impossible to protect them from this, personally i dont think it is a good idea and certainly not a good idea to advertise in on tv but thats just my opinion

Molly and Tom's legal challenge relating to their allegations of juror misconduct will be heard in court.
Ooooh, I hope none of those jurors did anything stupid.

I think the case should be challenged too..
Murder 1, preplanned.. victim drugged and I think the FBI should re prosecute it with the death penalty .
Bloody nonsense,' we cant answer the civil case. all we have stolen, cos we're too busy making up new lies about the man we murdered and everybody else, and we have a fat group of trolls'
Trazadone makes that case murder 1.

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim on a Monday morning, but where does it say that the legal challenge will be heard in court? I can see they have submitted affadavits to Judge Lee requesting that the judgement be set aside and they receive a new trial outside of Davidson County but I don't see where he has granted that motion? (As in I don't think the judgement of this motion needs to go to court?)

Everything else relates to the appeal and the civil case being on hold until a decision is made...have I got that wrong? Has Judge Lee made a decision regarding the dismissal?

MM ex fiancée has been speaking to the Irish Independent about his previous relationship with MM and that 20/20 program, I believe he is also doing a TV interview later on this year with ABC. The one benefit or what adds to this man's credibility is the fact that he produced his book years before this incident even happened, it is not as if he wrote it all after that fateful day in August 2015. https://www.independent.ie/irish-ne...son-corbett-look-like-a-bad-guy-36290760.html

His comment on living with her say a lot, (in relation to what people have been accusing JC of), he has been there.
[FONT=&quot]"I think I'm a pretty laid back guy but I yelled at her too because it was infuriating and extremely stressful to be with her.

One new thing that strikes me about the first article here, is that Molly did get pregnant when she was with McGinn. She ultimately had a miscarriage which could have been caused by all the medication she was taking. One miscarriage at a young age during a precarious health situation did not mean she could never have her own children. Yet she uprooted her life in order to snare the perfect ready-made family.
There are so many ways this story is a Greek tragedy and this is just one more element of it - she could have had her own baby; she could have found a way to live a normal well-adjusted life with the right emotional and medical support. Instead, she pursued her dream in the wrong way and sabotaged what she had when she achieved it. Her parents were complicit in this - they could have supported her by telling her to wait, look after her health and build up her self esteem, and then pursue her dream of having a family. But instead, they let her fly off to Ireland, lie her way into a responsible job and a secure life, just so they could put the label of "good mother" on her. Purely destructive and self-sabotaging every step of the way.

Seems he is now cashing in.

Good for him. He had the integrity to wait until after the criminal trial. Anything he reveals can help to undo the vicious lies that the Marten family are now pushing in order to further their grifter lifestyle, free the murderous duo, and heap more slander on their victim and his family.

Let’s get everything he knows out there!

We don't know that Molly's parents didn't tell her all of the things above. Molly was an adult, she could not be forced to obey her parents.

True. But it would have been responsible for them to contact her new employer (and future husband) and tell him that she had recently had a health issue that would affect her ability to take care of two small children.

Seems TM is in a bit of a pickle, his lawyers who were representing him in the upcoming civil case. TM had intended to use two insurance policies to pay for his defence in the upcoming civil suit. However, these insurance companies have advised that the claim is not valid and will not be paying out.

https://www.independent.ie/irish-ne...rtens-for-corbetts-civil-action-36366161.html
So, he intended using insurance policies, yet his relatives did a massive fundraiser long before they knew the insurance would not pay up..
where does this leave them?
Did the funding campaigns not state he had no access to funds or something like that, when all along he had planned on paying them this way?

Article also states he will defend himself?
There is nothing he would relish more and with all the time in the world to prepare a further character assassination on the man he was convicted of murdering?
-Credible witness? Credible defense?
