Again, if JC is up,against a wall and TM is swinging and missing...his daughter cannot be right in front of Jason. He could have missed and crushed her skull to.

Blood splatters in hall, if hall was where children's room was then how did they not wake this makes no sense. They were carried out to hall and down the stairs,

Where was SM at that time. Why did she go there and not to where SM was.? I would have thought after the police station her first priority would be to see the children?

Maybe police wanted to keep them separate so they could get statements without collusion (although at that stage it was too late they had plenty of time before the ambulance was called.)

One thing has been bothering me. The testimony of the paramedic saying that his hand went inside the skull when attempting intubation.... Is this something the defence lawyers may zone in on when its their turn. Is this leaving it open to question that some of the injuries to his skull were attributed to by the paramedics moving him. What I mean is can they try to minimise even if it's a miniscule amount the damage caused by the bat and the stone, by saying the paramedic made it worse when handling him? I just have a feeling that is something that will come up again. Anyone else any thoughts of this?

No. Not possible, unless the paramedics had droped him from a great height several times en route to ambulance.. a hand does not dislodge a skull bone in the movement described.. to intubate, patient's head must be held and moved back a little to provide an angle for edt tube to be inserted into trachea
then its generally connected to a ventilator whih will inflate the lungs rhythmically

The officer got pictures of him on the floor
Corporal Dagenhardt photographed with his mobile phone the scene where Mr Corbett's naked and blood-stained body was lying on the floor.
The photos were also shown of Jason on the stretcher in the court room yesterday

His skull was badly shattered and the damage was so severe that a pathologist could not determine at a post mortem examination precisely how many times he had been struck.
However, he sustained up to 12 blows.

A North Carolina District Attorney revealed during the opening of the Jason Corbett (39) murder trial that the Limerick father-of-two was struck at least 10 times over the head with the damage to his skull so severe that a post mortem couldn't even determine precisely how many times he was hit with the two implemen

However, Lt Young said he noted no injuries on the young woman's neck or throat at the scene."There was initial consent to be allowed to take photographs," he told the ninth day of the Davidson County murder trial.

"Ms (Martens) Corbett continually pulled and tugged on her neck with her hand."
"I asked her to stop doing that."

Lt Young said that: "After several requests, she did (stop)."

The police officer said he photographed the young woman's neck from all angles but said he noted no injuries."None that I noted," he said. The photos were displayed by an overhead projector to the murder trial jury of nine women and three men.

Lt Young said he did observe blood on Ms Martens-Corbett's face and hair.

Sorry, i'm struggling here, we have JC who has been brutally beaten we have blood splatter 5 ft high on walls. We have pools of blood in the property and we have testimony that there are some blood spots on TM's shirt, hands, watch and blood on MM's face and hair.

Should their clothes not have been saturated, both from the attack and from when they were 'attempting' CPR? Where is the blood on them?

All IMO

If the defence were going make any accusation about the handling of JC by the paramedic they would have done so on cross. I am struggling with the defence here, the way they are getting through witnesses makes me think the defence are really questioning nothing. It could be that they cannot refute what is being said and hope to persuade the jury with their own witnesses but at the moment it appears to be a one way street with no argument.

All IMO

My theory is that they changed their clothes and cleaned themselves up, before calling 911. The blood on TM could have been from turning the body over and the blood on MM hair could have dripped from the paving stone as she lifted it over her head to administer more blows. JMO.

David Dillard, a former deputy with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, said his responsibilities included escorting Molly Martens to his patrol vehicle. He observed she was wearing pyjama apparel and did not observe any injury.

Mr Dillard said she was “making crying noises”, but did not see any visible tears. He also commented that she was seen rubbing her neck in a “scrubbing” motion before she was escorted to the home of her neighbour, David Fritzsche.

Also, again just a theory, could the civil case citing SM , be washing or diisposing of the blood stained clothing? JMO

Just as Jason's clothing could have been removed? Scratch/cut postmortem could possibly be caused by cutting clothes off

My fiction and opinion not facts

The one with SM, could be. I am hearing very little about blood stained clothing at the moment and, given the amount of blood, we should have that. The police took the clothing which, either in person or via photos i will assume will be shown the jury. If there is little blood I do not think any reasonable person will accept that that is what they were wearing. The scene is being described as a bloody mess.

We did discuss this before with people's opinions varying. Personally, i feel it looks worse for the Martens that he was found naked, a fully dressed person would be much more likely to take part in an argument. IMO, a naked person, not so much.

All IMO
