Didn't TM retire from the FBI? If so, why would he need $80,000? You would think a person who retired from that kind of occupation was set up with retirement accounts and would not have to worry about money at all. Unless he is a gambler or made poor decisions with a property he blew his money on. That part of the "loan" or a financial gift baffles me!

I'm not so sure this $80k figure is significant in this case at all. There are many reasons that seem logical to me that there would have been a transfer of money, down payment of new house in NC, wedding costs, other moving expenses on the US side. I myself have moved across the Atlantic and it is no cheap venture and also got married in US while living in Ireland. There were several transfers made both when I moved and when I got married. I don't think this is an avenue of relevance in this trial. But of course, if it is, we'll hear it in the next few weeks.

Yes. I've done the move too. And with 2 kids it's even more expensive and complicated.

But for the bat to be completely clean of prints is very questionable. Also, the bat was made for a child, I would highly doubt that the grip area was large enough for a full size mans hands.
The grip of the baseball bat would be larger enough for a grown man. Or at least all children's bats we have owned were large enough for my husband to play ball with our kids.

The room sas saturated in Jasons blood. They wipe the bat and put it down on the floor. It picks up blood and hair from the floor. Remember TM told the 911 operator that the bat was beside him. She told him not to touch it again. There were pools of blood drips of blood, pieces of scalp. After they wiped it, they laid in down in that mess.
The bat is photographed leaning against the dresser. I don't think remember it being were most of the blood was located blood splatter was

I also viewed these photos some time ago. I found the link elsewhere but not on SMs page. It was the entire wedding album with family photos with the corbetts, lunches, the martens and the children. It featured the ceremony itself and dancing etc. These all have been removed I expect at the request of the corbett family as the children featured in them. All that remains are the pics of molly on her own.
I know many brides who have done the photo's similar to Molly. I believe it's a southern thing.

Were you in court today? The expert testimony seems to have baffled all of the reporters...I'm hoping the jury will have had better luck following it!

Carson also testified that out of 25 samples of hair taken from a concrete paving brick that prosecutors allege was also used to beat Jason Corbett, 12 hairs belonged to Jason Corbett. The others did not appear to match either Jason's wife Molly Martens or her father, Thomas Martens.

Both attorneys have also noted during their cross-examinations that there are pictures of what appears to be blood splatter on the bottom of Jason Corbett's feet, which they argue would indicate that Jason Corbett was still moving after he was struck.

would this not suggest he was running away from whoever was beating him to death with the weapon?

Just a thought, if the paving brick is put down on a carpeted floor and it's wet from blood it could pick up additional hair to Jason's, such as from a pet...

Dog hair perhaps. If their dog had run if the house, it's hair would be around the place even if not too visable

The reporting is so shoddy...it is hard to understand what went on today. I agree one hair which showed similarities to Molly's but wasn't hers and multiple grey hairs. Why weren't these sent for further analysis?

I believe dog hair is very different to human hair microscopically, they would be able to identify animal hair and eliminate it quite quickly. I believe they would only mention hair that is of relevance to the crime during the trial, therefore I would assume they are referring to 25 human hairs IMO.
