I wonder if the jury will sense the attitude of superiority in these comments by Martens. He had disdain for Jason, his Irish family, and his "rowdy" friends. It almost sounds like bigotry to me. Yet, he was more than willing to take any material benefits, vacations, etc. and insert himself intimJason's children's lives.
This disgust seems broader to me than just confined to one individual. Martens definitely believed he was a superior class of person, or so it seems to me from this testimony.
Really wonder how the jury will see this?
Yes, he spoke poorly of his son in law, but at the same time, Jason had taken the problem child off his hands. TM should have kissed the ground Jason walked upon.
