This makes me sad. That evaluation was a catalyst for LA's demise. Info in it showed it headed that way yet" lets throw LA and GH together MORE". I remember how angry this made me last trial.

I think her focus was what was best for the children in a custody situation, not what was best given the various selfish nutjobs involved. She obviously didn't realize what Grant would do and then did. Had she written that Laura should get full custody that would have pushed Grant that much faster.

Rather than a "super parent mentor" what Laura really needed (and immediately) was an armed escort each time she had to interact with that sociopathic jerk & his codependent wifey.

Calloway referred to G as attractive? :notgood:

Listening to that list of drug abuse by Grant, I'm stunned that the psychologist recommended joint custody.

So she knew that Grant, Amanda and his parents wanted to "erase" Laura from the children's lives. Knowing that, how could she recommend joint custody?

I think that was her original position but she came to understand that the kids would be better off with Laura, if I remember correctly.

This trial is so much about Grant. I just don't know how this jury will view Amanda. At least there is the acid dumping picture. But as bumbling as this DT is and as focused as Boz is I am still worried that the jury could possibly believe Amanda was abused by Grant.

I see what this is all about. It's in the context of stating that Amanda is just like Laura, that Amanda was an abused spouse and that she had no choice about helping commit murder.

Gahhh I missed his joke and only heard the laughter.

WhatDidHeSay?

Yes, her recommendation was eff'd up considering that GH and AH (and the grandparents even!) wanted Laura out of the picture.

I don't completely buy that about the grandparents. Patsy took Laura in, she loved those children and I think she knew she had to love their mother. That is why I'm really hoping that Patsy DOES testify. She saw the good in Laura. And every mother, no matter how much they don't want to admit it, knows when their kid is no good... I just wrapped up my life with a psychopath, and his mother, though she LOVES him, was one of the first to warn me.

Fact: Grant knew right from wrong, he was convicted of murder.

Fact: Amanda went along with whatever Grant wanted, like a good Stepford Wife. She knows right from wrong.

Good, she knows about the DSM 5, I'm thinking a whole lot more of her at this point. I had a few moments of doubt.

I like this Judge!

Judge Stephens is one of the truly best judges we have here... he will be retiring soon and will be dearly missed. He pulls no punches, he is straight forward and also funny as heck!!!!

No, she isn't an expert, but she should be able to recognize a mentally disordered person such as Grand and/or Laura, if they indeed are.

In this case, I think Gaskins is implying a diagnosis for Grant, to take the heat off Amanda.

She called his a sociopath in her report, so I'd say she at least got that right LOL

I think Fact 2 you mean Amanda... Laura was no Stepford Wife. She was a truly good person who put on no heirs, unlike Amanda :(

Laura told this 'expert' about two movies and how Grant claimed he was the main character in them. Did the lady say she didn't know what the movies were about?

If that is true about the grandparents then they got their wish :(

Grant told the psychologist that he thinks of himself as the talented Mr Ripley (lying impersonator). The psychologist was asked if she'd seen the movie, she said no. The judge said no one seems to have see the talented Mr Ripley and that everyone is still looking for him.
