Many of you are discussing Statement Analysis. Because of so many people who claimed they knew Statement Analysis Websleuths had to (a while back) disallow the discussion fo SA for this reason.

We would have dueling "experts" giving totally different opinions on a case. All I can hear in my brain is "Dueling Banjos" whenever I think about this issue. It would go something like this;

Member #1 - I've studies SA since 1996 and there is no way the mother is being deceptive. She has none of the classic signs of deception in her statement"

(The first cords of Dueling Banjo's start to play in my head)

Member #2 - YOU ARE WRONG. This shows classic deception She only mentions her missing daughter's name one time and by the way I've been studying Statement Analysis for over 30 years so I do know what I am talking about.

(The second of cords of Dueling Banjos play in my head)

Member #1 - REALLY BIG DEAL I WENT TO LA DE DA COLLEGE IN MAIN TO STUDY. I AM GOING FOR MY SA CERTIFICATION NEXT YEAR. WHAT TRAINING HAVE YOU HAD IN THIS FIELD?

(rather than the rest of Dueling Banjos playing in my head, my head explodes)

If someone can find me a certified Statement Analysis person please send me their name. Email me at triciastruecrimeradio@gmail.com

Maybe we can get a solid SA professional in here to help us. Maybe not but we should give it a good try right?

Thank you,
Tricia
You crack me up!

This interview with the dad clarifies that he was at the park with his girlfriend and the park worker who called 911 thought the girlfriend was the boy's mom.

This is probably the reason why some media accounts suggest that the boy's "parents" were with him. I wonder why the "girlfriend" hasn't been identified?

Just to throw a little hope out there for everyone- back in 2011 a non verbal autistic 9 year old went missing in Virginia on a Sunday while he and his dad were hiking. He was found 5 days later 3/4 of a mile from where he went missing by a volunteer search group. It can and it has happened before! Let's keep praying for Maddox' safe return!!!

Interesting interview. Ian Ritch confirms in this interview that it was his girlfriend who was with him that day. He says that LE have separated he and his girlfriend several times (including today) during the investigation.

Strange that the reports had always mentioned the “other adult” or “unidentified person” and not even said if the person was male or female.

I think many suspected that it was a female friend of the father but probably wouldn’t have been within TOS to state that opinion.

I don't like the way the father sounded in that interview with GMA. Said he feels guilty and then adds something about being able to go into his house and lie down in a bed and then says while his son MIGHT be out there in the woods. I really wonder what "it" was that he regrets happened.
I agree. If he did all that he could, trying to find him and running after him, then why would he feel guilty? I guess we could probably pick apart many statements made in these cases, some would be accurately picked apart, but once in awhile, the person is truly genuine and the child or missing adult is found ok. I won't lie, I am beyond hope that Maddox is still alive- I want to believe he is and is just waiting to be found, but I just don't feel it in my heart that he is.

Anxiously waiting for the update.

Sorry if I'm waaay off and wrong-- but I'm getting a slight DeOrr Kunz Jr. 'vibe' about this whole case.
From reading many posts here ... people keep asking the same questions I'm thinking.

But to paraphrase :
Did the search dogs get a scent ? Any scent ? If Maddox fell into the lake or a hole -- right there within the park-- dogs should've alerted at least to where he fell in --- if that's what happened to him ?

And if he was kidnapped -- SAR dogs should've been able to track him to where the vehicle took off .

And was the park employee the only one who called 911 ? Anyone else call this in ?
If the park was crowded, it would be easy to see another child and think you'd observed Maddox.

But again, the FBI says they have definitive proof of his being there. So they have spoken to people who were at the park.
So we know Maddox was there--at the time he went missing -- and nowhere else.
Imo.
