A news article posted today from The Robesonian may help in understanding why there haven't been any announced searches this week.

"LUMBERTON — Hundreds of Robeson County residents who have been without power since Monday night’s ice storm can finally warm up — until they step outside, that is. Power has been fully restored throughout the county after upwards of 17,000 homes and business were left in the dark Monday night. Most residents had the lights on again by Thursday morning —" http://www.robesonian.com/news/news/151948492/Power-restored-for-everyone

There's also this from the Sheriff Tuesday morning:

"Power lines & trees down all around Robeson. Please drive slower than posted limits if you MUST be out. County offices closed today. Stay off roads as much as possible. Be careful in your own yards. It's all SLICK!"
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Robeson-County-Sheriff-Kenneth-Sealey/233954479787

We all know they also have to think of the community's safety. I personally didn't even think to consider they may have been a part of the winter storms.

At the moment, I do not think Sara is gone willingly (though that could change if more information comes out). If she was taken randomly by someone who does not know her or her family, you have to wonder what that person is thinking now that they know her father is a police officer. That person certainly did not release her and let her go back home.

It means at the very least, when the van was parked there it was a very controlled situation, not done in panic, nothing off, no signs left, of struggle, where to from there, it seems to me, from what has been reported.
I'm inclined to agree with this.

I haven't read anyone mention this possible motive to lock the doors: I think to make it harder to identify the vehicle unless you had a key. Meaning.... passersby could not discover and report Sara missing because they couldn't access the glove box. Waiting for LE to open it up, or a parent, buys more time.

When you're committing heinous crimes, you probably need every available second you can get.

I also doubt Sara was at that location. That van was dumped.

I agree with the bolded above, but oftentimes the keys are left in the car with the doors unlocked in hopes that the car will be stolen, ransacked for valuables or anything that would throw off cops and allow for someone else's DNA/prints to end up in the car . . . or they'd leave a window down, something to at least contaminate any potential evidence. The van being locked and in the location it was in really stands out to me for those reasons.

It's pretty rural over there. Probably not a lot of traffic. Location chosen for that very reason... less chance of being seen. JMO

DOB - April 1, 1996
She'll be 19 in 40 days.

Providing a source to confirm the above date of birth. Circumstances on the NCMC poster also state she may have travelled out of state. Obviously, it doesn't mean that's the case but it is the first time I've seen it mentioned to allow for the probability. http://www.missingkids.com/missingk...iewChildDetail&orgPrefix=NCMC&caseNum=1243889

May have traveled out of state??? That's a new one.

When I read that she keeps her cell phone off at home, I wondered if Sarah didn't want her family to know who called her or how often.
Also, maybe her Dad and stepmom didn't want it on...

This is the first time they've ever said this.

The area around where Graham’s vehicle was found and her possible routes of travel — from her home on Centerville Church Road in Fairmont to her job, and from where her car was found to Interstate 95 — have been combed multiple times.

No mention has ever been made of a possible route of travel. Only that she left from home on Centerville Church Road for her job at Walmart in Pembroke. Why so vague concerning a route or possible route she took?

LATEST NEWS

Sealey said he and others involved in the search are “hoping and praying” Graham is unharmed.

“We’re hoping that she’s left with friends and just hasn’t told anybody,” he said.

May have traveled out of state.

Gosh, I hope that is true, and if it is true that she comes to no harm. I can't quiet wrap my head around the idea that she would be in touch with nobody she knew from the past since then. If she were gone of her own free will, would the "left with friends" indicate LE may know something about her contacts? This is the first outreach that has been done in a while by LE, so has it been so quiet to not spook word of Sara's well-being?

Good question. Maybe this means left with "friends" other than her regular friends.

Wouldn't you drive further away, like as far as possible before switching cars to meet up with friends? It seems too close to home to not have made the switch at home and not far enough from home to make it seem like she switched to a friend's car. And a very strange place to meet, no markers to tell someone where you are going to meet. It really doesn't make any sense. I hope it made sense for her though and she is safe someplace.

What you've just stated is almost precisely what's had me bothered about my willingly leaving theory. I can see a number of reasons why she may not want to have someone come to her home, even if it's just to pick her up. One of them could be she didn't want them to be seen by the neighbors. (I believe there are a few neighbors quite close to where she lives.) As far as the location the van was found; if she did willingly leave, I wonder if it's because she did not want any security footage showing who she left with or any cameras capturing information about whose car she left in.

I hope they are still actively searching the local area for her if they really don't have anything to go on. Too many times people are thought to have left willingly when they have not.

Everything points to the car being staged. I don't think she ever left the house. My guess is her bio mom and her did not get along so she moved to Dad's as soon as she turned 18 thinking it would be perfect. When she had to follow the rules and deal with a Step parent she may have been very disappointed. Maybe there was an altercation at home? The vehicle placement seems too convenient to me. JMO

If there were an altercation at home, wouldn't it be a lot more risqué to stage the vehicle than to simply arrive home and find a body?

I was thinking that she left the car there, locked up, to spare her Dad.
She didn't want it ripped off, torn through, or damaged when she left. To save him the expense.
Like, thanks, but I'm outta here.
