On March 27 RCSO announced that Sara G. stepmother, Connie G., was fired on March 18.

  • WRAL reported the same and added some sources very close to the case said FBI is considering her stepmother as a suspect in the case.

RCSO had declined to elaborate, calling the firing a personnel decision. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office also said the move was unrelated to Sara Graham's disappearance.

Sheriff Sealey added "I know citizens are eager to know more about our investigation. Please understand that publicly sharing specific details of our case could be harmful to the integrity of our investigation and would not be in the best interest of our efforts to find Sara,

  • WRAL added that an arrest may be made and charges filed soon saying "We have some calls in to try to get more information."

Two weeks have passed and there's been no further news from RCSO or WRAL. The sheriffs department did not leave us with an expectation of further news as did WRAL. Seems that WRAL owes it's viewers an explanation.

Arrrrggghhhhh. Frustrating!!!

If an arrest is imminent, RCSO certainly does not want to alert the suspect or anyone else anywhere. That's the way it should be. They need enuff to put a solid probable cause argument before a judge or magistrate so that they can obtain an arrest warrant (or more than one), and to obtain search warrants as well.

We all just wonder what they've got & how strong it is & we want to see something happen. That's all. So we wait...

We've all gone thru this before here on WS -- and we know that every day that passes makes her survival less & less likely. I do hope she is safe and not hurt or frightened... Still hoping for good news about Sara...

My guess would be that they're waiting on lab results of some kind, and don't know when they'll get it.

Maybe an effort is being undertaken to get a plea agreement.

Hmmmmm, now there's a thought. Hmmmm. Defense attorneys don't like to do anything too quickly, either, it seems.

After waking up superbly frustrated about this case I decided to contact the reporter at WRAL who wrote the article with the "sources". I was told basically, that they stand by their article and no new information has been brought to their attention. Does anyone else feel that this case is going to have the bare minimum info divulged when an arrest is made? I feel as though the RSCO is going to make as little ruckus as possible after their scandal a few years ago. Though, honestly, as long as whomever is responsible is held accountable I don't care what they tell us. Sara deserves justice, a voice, and closure for her family who are hurting right now.

I think it's going to be quiet, too. This whole thing probably will be.

I thought it was weird that the shared facebook of Sara's dad and her stepmom had photos of a bunch of other children/grandchildren, but no Sara, that spoke volumes. The fact that there was no missing poster on it after she disappeared, nor even a photo to remember her/make people aware, seemed even stranger. And sadder, honestly.

Actually, I had the same thought about the facebook page today. There have been no posts on that page regarding Sara (that I can see at least). So that leads me to believe that whoever runs that page is leaving it up to LE or they don't care as much as others. It seems everyone else in Sara's family are trying to get the word out. Its rather odd.

Another thought I had today...Is it not normal to mention tattoos on a missing person alert? Isn't that something usually given to help with identification? Sorry , I'm still a bit of a neophyte to sleuthing...

In response to your question read this link; https://www.ncdps.gov/Index2.cfm?a=000003,000014,000081,000253 especially this reference point
Write a detailed description of clothing and any personal belongings the person may have. Note any birthmarks, scars, tattoos, or mannerisms, and supply any photo that may show the marks. Give this information to the investigator.

Do we know if her farther is still with her step mother Tia.

That's a great question, leep. It was speculated that he not been living at home after Sara disappeared, according to one of the neighbors. It's in one of the MSM articles, but I don't know which one.

Thanks for this! I thought it was common place for something like that to be mentioned. Though with no description of any clothing except for a "blue Walmart vest", perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. But alas, I am not going to rehash that subject as you guys have done a great job discussing it already.

Sara, I hope they don't forget about you . Wonder where those arrests are, somewhere in a file cabinet? I'm so sad for you tonite. You didn't deserve any of this, even if you just had to go away, but, I don't think this is the case, someone took you away and they need to be locked up forever!! It's been long enough!!

Sara's father, Deputy Hubert Graham [a 16-year veteran of the Robeson County (NC) Sheriff's Office], had not been living at the home with his wife, Connie (Sara's stepmother), since she was fired (on Wed., 03/18/2015) from her job with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office. MSM reported that her termination was a "personnel matter," and not related to Sara's case.

When the investigation into Sara's "disappearance" was begun, Hubert Graham was placed on administrative leave. I do not know what his status is to date, but assume that nothing has changed since the investigation is ongoing (or, so we are led to believe judging from the stale MSM reports that are periodically "updated" with no new information added).

We have been waiting for the arrest of the only suspect thus far, Connie Graham. What's the holdup, I wonder? I guess they are looking for a body. (Good luck with that.)

I have combed through the news articles on the previous thread, and now it seems the information we initially read has been wiped out (by MSM) in recent updates. It was reported early on, in MSM, that "they" (the Grahams) left together on the morning that Sara was last seen (Wed., 02/04/2015). Then, that information was replaced with a statement that Connie Graham was the last to see Sara as she left that morning. Now, it is "family members" who were the last to see Sara. I'd like to know which "family members" last saw Sara leaving for work, clad in her Walmart vest.

It would not surprise me, at all, if Hubert Graham has now moved back into the home with Connie. (JMO)
Please forgive my bitter tone, but I CANNOT STAND IT!!! Given the unfavorable history of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, the thought of a cover-up in Sara's case has crossed my mind (a lot).

I hope the FBI (Charlotte) is still involved in the investigation as to WTH happened to Sara. In the meantime, I'm hoping, and praying, for a confession.

I completely missed that Sara's father was placed on administrative leave?!? Was this as a standard procedure conflict of interest thing, or something else?

And curious, why do you think the father and stepmother would have moved back in together?to me this would mean they are both involved in Sara's disappearance, otherwise, how could he possibly?

I hadn't seen he was on leave. I thought he made a statement that he would do other work because being assigned to finding Sara would be too hard for him.

Snipped here to shorten.

Alexwood, I haven't read where HG was placed on administrative leave, do you have a link for that?

I do not believe her father was placed on AL, that would have made my ears prick up right away....IMHO
