One thing Graham has done is separate himself from the situation. He's been a sergeant with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office for years, and knows what goes into a search like this.

“I know I'm not gonna be able to control my emotion in the situation,” Graham explained. “It's hard to do this line of work with emotion tied in because eventually it's going to get the best of you.”

I just have to say, that IS a heavy duty statement right there, this was early on , why would he think it was going to get the best of him? He and others at that time mentioned that maybe Sara left with friends, she's 18, she can go when she wants, did he aready know something VERY bad happened to Sara, that it would get the best of him? Missing Sara is getting on my last nerve!! Robeson GET ON WITH IT!! I guess car & motorcycle shopping gets things off your mind that might get the best of you!!!! :gaah: :gaah: :gaah:

Thanks for mentioning the car and bike, I thought I was the only one bothered by that. In contrast with the things Sara's mother is writing on FindSara Nicole Graham it is even more heartbreaking. I know people deal with things differently...but the lack of info on someone's SM page is disturbing to me.

I was thinking of Sara this morning.

I'm glad others have not forgotten her.

What's the status? Is the FBI still working on this? Is anyone still looking for Sara??

Every time I drive to a work appointment, I put my ID badge lanyard around my neck on my way. Or when I arrive to the site. I think about Sara's work vest. Did she really have it on when she left the house? I don't think it really matters at this point, but I keep thinking about it.

I would like to know if the FBI is still working on this case, too! There has been NOTHING reported in weeks. In fact, the only real details we've received in this ENTIRE case is that her car was found and her stepmother was fired.

My email question to the Robesonian And the reply today.

Hi, can you tell me if we will be hearing anymore about the Sara Graham case.
It seems like there's been no updates or coverage in quite some time on this
missing person case and to me that is troubling.
Thanks for your response in advance.

The response:

Thanks for reading. We have no updates on Sara Graham at this time. I will check
with the Sheriff's Office.
Best,

Sarah Willets

This case frustrates me like no other, nothing makes sense and the lack of media coverage on it baffles me. ....

I agree, I call disgracefull and abuse of power for police, nothing but dirty little(BIG) secrets. Part of her family speaks in past, "Sara was", and the other half speaks in
"Sara, please call us". I say, they know all of it,but just wont tell the public, If they haven't made an arrest then they should let the public know that there's a dangerous person out there, or let the public know that the missing person is safe and move on!! And on top of everything else where are the searches they should be having, they are a close community and could set up searches EVERY week-end to help find her body if she's been killed. Typical small town crap and cover ups, that's what I think. MY OPINION ON ALL OF THE ABOVE, with my blood boiling!!!!!

Agreed. This feels like Cassie Compton's case all over again. Unfair.

I'll say again that a few weeks is nothing in law enforcement time. If they have to wait for a prosecutor to review the evidence and decide on charges, it could be the end of the summer before the paperwork is done. If they're waiting for forensics from a forensics lab, it could be next year.

It's frustrating for all involved, but it doesn't mean there's incompetence or a coverup.

I agree about the forensics taking a while to be completed here in NC. Our friends' daughter was raped by an intruder back in September, and the dna evidence has yet to be processed. Luckily, the guy is still in jail on a boatload of charges.

they could at least update the public about the wait, reassure them that there is no danger etc.... not just plain and simple clam up about it. There is a gag order on the Heather Elvis case but there is still media coverage about it weekly, she is missing too.....

I won't defend the media. That's a different question.

In my experience, law enforcement agencies almost never make the kind of statement you're asking for. I don't know why. They just don't. I guess because they always feel the public's safe.

OK :) I can agree with that, BUT, what evidence was found, or when was evidence found? What forensics? or if forensics at lab, where has it been said? They said an arrest soon, there has to be some kind of update, if she's still missing where's the volunteer searches? If she's been found then say so, if she's been found deceased and you don't know who did it,then say so. If she left because she wanted to and is ok,just say so, But, there has been absolutely nothing, nothing!!

I saw a performance of Les Miserables last night and thought of Sara, "thelittlemadamherself". I hope that she didn't have an evil stepmother in real life :( STILL praying for her safe return.

The lack of search notification has been a concern of mine. It's such a small community...one would think there would be more of an active search, unless LE is against such endeavors.

I'm thinking this will be one of those cold cases, It's as though her family has forgotten about her :( I hope not, but that's the way I see it.
Sara, if you're still out there ,I hope you're safe and all your dreams come true for you.
