I'm sorry. I didn't hear. Judge Lock kinda mumbles. But I think it still had something to do with the jury comment? Sorry. I have like 5 pages of notes. I will post more tonight. Trying to pay attention, take notes and tweet. Lol

this entire case just makes me want to :burn:

thanks to all for the updates. I can hardly bring myself to read all this stuff and I am sitting on all my fingers and my toes lest I say something really really bad right now knowing what we know about Teghan's mother.

Teghan Skiba's mother says Richardson 'murdered my daughter'

Before Reyes took the stand, the judge briefly put the trial on hold in order to investigate comments made to jurors outside of the courtroom Wednesday.

While jurors were out to lunch, a bystander allegedly walked up to some of them and said "you need to find him guilty," referring to Richardson.
The bystander also yelled to jurors, "He's guilty; I don't care what y'all say," as they got into a car after their break from court.

It was noted that two deputies from another county were escorting the jurors to lunch when the incident happened.

The judge listened to arguments as Richardson's defense team motioned for a mistrial.

The request was denied after the judge questioned the jury about what they heard, and asked if the comment affected them. Jurors said they were able to continue with the trial.

I know she is emotional. It's hard to have any sympathy for her. I've been sitting beside her sisters and they are emotional. I was sitting behind the Skiba's this morning before first short break......I think?
 
I am new to this case and just started following.. I have not been in the right emotional state to read through Thread 1...

Question - has Teghan's bio dad had any commentary on this case? I read he is in prison for drug dealing, but I am just wondering if there has been any thing from him through out this brutal murder of his child....

No, I do not believe he has made a formal statement. Not one that i have been able to find atleast. Not much is known about him. His father has recently contacted the media to thank supporters, but that's as much as I know.

:twocents::twocents: Just stepping in here to acknowledge that a. these cases are NATIONWIDE, b. NOT new to members of the forensic community and c. FINALLY, some are getting coverage & going to trial rather than the plea bargain route. :jail::jail:


One of the very first cases I had was an egg donor who decided that changing her infant's wet outfit was too much trouble so HE!!, treat her like a turkey & pop her in the oven! Torture & death for children is NOT new, just seems to become more sadistic!

:please: :please:perhaps the greatest gift each of these children are giving US is the dedication to STOP the violence & shine a light on this curse.
