Going to be spending time going back and trying to find out about Zaraha's life before the disappearance.

Talking to friends, interviewing neighbors, going to school and talking to teachers.

She was home schooled but will be going to talk to teachers at her old school, as they have moved around a bit.

Unlikely that she ran away.

Her prosthetic is missing. Her hearing aids were at the house.


Reporters asked a lot of questions that he refused to answer. Either he doesn't have an answer or answering them would compromise the investigation.

Will be holding another briefing at 3 p.m.

Sheriff pretty much cut off press conference mid sentence and said he would do another briefing at 3pm. Strange.

Anyone know Elisa Baker's full name? I was trying to look her charges up on the NC Courts website and and did not see anything listed for an Elisa Baker.

If Dad is truthful, then stepmom had quite a lot of time to destroy and hide things.

there will be a presser today now and at 1500. From here on out there will be written briefings to the press released at 1000 and 1500 unless there is breaking news~~~~

~Hickory LE is out in teams following up on leads and trying to find out what Zahra's life was like before she went missing

~schools/teachers in Caldwell county are being visited/interviewed to establish what Zahra's life was like before she went missing.

~the family has moved around a lot and Zahra attend school in Caldwell schools but is CURRENTLY HOMESCHOOLED

~since they have moved around so much LE is revisiting neighbors and interviewing them

~a reporter asked if it was possible if she was missing longer than the time she was reported last seen. LE says that they are trying to establish a timeline

~LE is not sure when anyone outside of the family last saw her

~LE says, when asked if SM is a POI, that anything is a possibility and that they have ruled out nothing. However, he does not consider running away a possibility because she did not have her hearing aids.

~prosthetic leg has not been found

~they are looking at video to corroborate the SM and Dad's time line (ie, to see if they were where they said they were in interviews_

~SM still held on 31,500 bond

So from the looks of these charges..... The first one dates back to 2006 (DWLR). Then the Unsafe Tires is from 2009. All of the others are from this year. Interesting that she has her first court date coming up fo the larceny by employee (10/15/2010).

So did she just never show up for court on th 06 and 09 tickets? Was she out on bond for the larceny by employee? I ask this b/c if she were just arrested for that why is her court date for that one so quick?
