I think they had alot of complaints and they found out it was a sewer problem.

But WHY were they there??

My theory is they went there to dump the mattress in the dumpster for whatever reason. If the mattress was put in there (Tahoe would be large enough) to transport to trailer park, wouldn't it stand to reason, the "scent" would be in the car from the mattress as well? This would explain the dogs hitting on that vehicle.

Or I have a feeling they are searching for Z's real mattress in the landfill. I have a feeling what they removed from the home is a replacement mattress.

Either that or they are looking for the mattress from the old house, which would establish a timeline. (As could her old mattress if a witness came forward that sold EB/AB a new mattress on a certain date).

Just came across this link, don't recall if the info in it has been posted before:

http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/who/article/-/8178830/relative-zahra-said-my-mumma-would-never-hit-me/

This made me cry. You can't really tell anymore how much of what the relatives are saying is true, but I could just see that sweetheart thanking someone, telling them that was the best day of her life. In looking at the videos from the Speedway Charity she just seems to be eating up all the attention she's getting and just completely enthralled with everything they are saying to her. I would bet she was very appreciative of everything anyone did for her. It's so sad, now the whole world has fallen in love with her, but it's too late for her to know it.

It may be nothing, but I keep thinking the comforter and pillows found in the vehicle are tied in here somewhere, also. Maybe they were hit on for decomp during the initial search?

Also, I remember seeing a girl about Zahra's age in EB's myspace photos, but I don't recall who she was. Perhaps this was someone who stayed overnights, therefore they got the replacement bed for that purpose? NOT sleuthing this child, just questioning the possibility.

And the sheets could have been moved from the personal car to the work car to set on fire, putting decomp scent in both.
By the way, thanks for all the welcomes!!
If there is something off limits how do I find out what it is?

Welcome, usually someone will post something about it being a no no, :innocent:, especially for newbies!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well that makes it sound like there's a secret list or something ..........lol. Check the first couple of post on the front page, that gives you a good idea.

To be honest, I don't believe anything these 2, BB or her mother KD, have to say.

They knew about the abuse but did nothing to help Zahra. They were the first to get in front of the cameras too. But when their failure to help was made public and they felt the backlash, Brittany used her drug addiction as her accuse. Yet she had no problem protecting herself and child against EB. << shaking my head >>

JMHO

That's very sad. However I find it hard to imagine that she never went to a movie in Oz???

I can. Around where I live there are many children who have never been to a movie theatre. I know of 3 as I write this. Families have VCR and DVD players and that's how many of the kids around here watch movies. Often they don't go to a movie theatre until they are older and go with friends who drive.

I am about 20 min from Asheville so although rural not too rural.

Stop going so fast. Mattresses, I need to find out more about the mattresses.

Out here, people put mattresses and furniture in the alleys, and other people come and take what they need from the alley. Nice stuff sometimes. So, tracking down a mattress could be very time consuming.

Mattresses hold a treasure trove of info. It sounds like there was more than one mattress. I'll keep reading. I just need to read faster.

In this video the reporter said something about the mattress being removed from the home. Then the reporter said LE said that even though the mattress was removed from the home does NOT mean it was slept on. This makes me think the new mattress theory is spot on and she never made it to the new home.

They also said that Lisa Dubbs (?), high profile Defense Attorney, was on the visitors log for visiting EB.

“You got everything in there that you could imagine and then some things in there that you couldn’t imagine,” says neighbor Butch Bollinger, who has been to the landfill several times.

“It’s garbage and dirt, garbage and dirt,” says neighbor David Crisp.

That’s what searchers are picking through Thursday as they try to find a key piece of evidence in 10 year-old Zahra Baker’s disappearance.

My husband is a devoted father but he has had to miss school events, ultrasounds, doctor appt. because he works and is the sole provider. He even has an extremely flexible job but even so he can't just take off every time he wants to.

IMO, a child that survives two forms of cancer and is moved half way around the world with no family around - should bring about many new "priorities" to most parents.

She was going to get back her hearing back (or better ) and honored by a charity group - and AB doesn't go?? He sends her step mother of only 2 yrs??

Just doesn't seem too devoted to me but thats just my opinion.

That mattress looked more like it was covered in muck and filth than burned, IMO. But, as I stated, it could just be my old eyes don't see very well. ;)
