Was that at the beginning of the presser? Never mind, I see the info in the news article.

Not sure. But he said they are trying to confirm the leg through serial numbers and it will take some time since it was fitted in AU as I remember.

Just had a thought. When I rode by there today, I thought it odd that a City of Hickory truck was out there. Then it looked like they dug some in the front yard. Almost like digging up a water line or something. I wonder if they are checking the sewer and water lines for blood etc!

Blood in the sewer lines would probably be long gone by now. Evidence might not be though (if they flushed it.)

Ok I asked him about the saws....he said you know saws. Like they cut stuff with. He's a network engineer. That would be a little out of his area of expertise I think.

They are under the house now. CNN is there. He said the saw was like maybe 2 1/2 feet long if that helps.

Crawl space

That sounds like a "chain" saw, of which, they use to cut down trees.

There is not a hell deep enough or hot enough for these two. RIP Zahra.

I wonder if they looked in that Big water tank thats on the side of the house?

<snipped>
Police have found a prosthetic leg matching the description of the one belonging to 10-year-old Zahra Baker.
Investigators found the leg late Tuesday afternoon off Christie Road in Caldwell County, police announced on Wednesday. They are working to positively confirm that it is Zahra's prosthetic leg through a serial number.

Let's do a quick review of AB's 911 call-first of all we know that she had no leg and no hearing aids when she disappeared. He said she would only come "up" when she needed something.

Saws going into the house...I am thinking floor boards are being cut to get into the crawl space basement.

No, he said the leg WAS missing along with her, but the hearing aids were not.

From what I understood, the guy that is in charge of the "water department" for the city of Hickory was there....and he was the one running the backhoe or whatever that large piece of equipment was!

Wow! Not buried (stated at presser). Along the side of the road (stated at presser).

Whose home??

BBM: Police say the investigation brought them to a home along Christie Road in Caldwell County, where they found the prosthetic leg which could belong to Zahra, who lost her real leg during two battles with cancer.

I have a video of the presser if someone can tell me how to attach it. 3gp file off my phone.

Maybe EB navigated LE to all the different locations because when the leg was dumped, she wasn't driving, and she wasn't watching the road?

Maybe AB is the one who tossed the leg and he told her where about he tossed it and she got confused....JUST MY OPINION ONLY.

Again, some speculation...EB says Zahra died a natural death and they panicked. Brought her with them when they moved concealed in the mattress or on one trunk. Decomp too much to bear so something had to be done to...well I think I have typed enough. I think she might be in pieces. God Bless Her and keep her.

If that's what EB said, she must think that LE and the civilized world fell off the back of the turnip truck yesterday.

Horrific senseless crime. Beautiful, courageous child.

Location of body revealed contigent on possible deal in process being finished?

Just thoughts. JMHO.

You know, I don't even care right now as long as the deal spells NO PAROLE EVER!

Just let's please find this precious child!

Well that latest pressor also confirmed that she has not had a new fitting done on her leg since he said it was fitted in AU More neglect as far as I am concerned!!

I agree... very neglectful. You could see in photos in which Zahra was walking that she had a limp from the leg being too short. Made her kind of sway-backed in some of the photos... and that could cause her all kinds of osteo problems.

I had wondered a while back if that's why they kept her out of school... that the school would say something about her needing her leg refitted--a new leg... that it would be a huge expense that they weren't wanting to pay... possible motive.

That, or that her cancer came out of remission and they just didn't want to go to the trouble/expense to treat it and let her pass.

Whatever they did, whether neglect or direct violence, they and no one else are responsible and should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law... and then some.

A reporter asked LE if this is where they brought Elisa on Monday and LE wouldn't not confirm it.

Tornado warning for Catawba Co, PunKnLuV -- please let your hubby know, and all y'all in that area stay safe! (Also, Cleveland, Lincoln and northwest Gaston Counties under tornado warning.)

Seems Wise Old Owl was correct to be so focused and concerned about the unusual "circle" of cars and people around THAT woodpile during the balloon releasing and the "memorial"! I found that very odd as well. Wasn't that mostly EB's family?

Wise old owl is wise indeed. She did in fact state that quite a few times.

It seems at this point there are no depths to AB's depravity - hell, I don't know what to call it. I'm leaving EB out of it for now.

Once again and sorry to bang on about it, but AB talked about Zahra in the past tense 3 times in one very short interview - he knew she was dead, and it is starting to look like he was way more involved than some even thought possible.
